Perfect "mountain house" for our snow getaway

What a great spot for our weekend getaway to the mountains. I was super impressed by the thoughtful communication leading up to our stay, given a storm that was passing through the area. Very pro-active and informative! We were so happy walking through the front doors! The kitchen had everything we needed (though FYI the oven was too small for larger baking sheets, so plan accordingly if you're planning to bake cookies! LOL), the beds were super comfy, primary bedroom very spacious, and the kids had a blast reading the children books on their shelves. Bunk beds were also a big hit! We loved the location which was an easy drive to Soda Springs and other ski resorts, but not so deep into the mountains that we worried about getting snowed in (though even if we had been, we would have been cozy in the home!). Would definitely choose to stay here again - I could see how sweet it would be to visit in the summer and enjoy the deck overlooking the big yard or sit on the porch surrounded by the lovely landscaping!

Cozy house with peaceful deck views

This is a clean, cozy house a short drive from central Nevada City. Beautiful deck and views, comfy beds, spacious kitchen and dining room, and a nice radiant heating system that keeps the house warm in the winter. Note that it's not walkable to town and it's on a small dirt road that can be hard to spot from the highway, but there's plenty of parking and the drive to town is 3 minutes at most - very close.

A lovely spot

We had a great stay! The property was even nicer than we expected. We particularly enjoyed having coffee or beverages on the rear porch overlooking the forest.

Grandchildren

The house has everything you need in it was clean and very spacious. The deck was a perfect place to sit with our morning coffee. The setting is surround by Sequia trees we even saw deer from the deck. We were five minutes from downtown Nevada City which it's quaint town. I defiantly recommend staying here. We would like to stay again when we visit our daughter and grandchildren, they only live five minutes away from the property

Wonderful house in Nevada City

We enjoyed our stay in Nevada City. The property was serene and located in an extremely convenient location to everything. We had excellent sleep in the king bed and the living area was fully stocked. We would suggest this property to all of our friends and family who stay in Nevada City.

Bright Star

I may not have thoroughly read the listing, but it said that it sleeps 8. To sleep 8 you needed to be able to get down and up from foam pads that had to be located on the floor or sleep on a bunk bed. We had 5 adults over 50. Sarah, the manager/contact, was most gracious and accommodating after our car broke down on the holiday weekend. And couldn't find a recycling trash bin outside once the kitchen bin was full.

Beautiful Setting

Beautiful home set back off the road. Very comfortable with lots of open space. Kitchen when nice and large. Bedrooms were cozy with lots of room. Would love to go back.
