The Hammocks is a family-friendly casual resort with a beautiful private pool and hot tub.
Tiki bar/restaurant offering live music and a marina are on the property. Gas grills are available. The fully equipped kitchenette includes oven, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher.
Clean spacious rooms with a balcony.
The Hammocks is near locally owned restaurants and bars, the 7 Mile Bridge, Sombrero Beach, the Turtle Hospital and Crane Point and Nature Center.
Key West is a just an hour drive and an easy drive to Key Largo in the Upper Keys.

Great stay at Hammocks.

We enjoyed our stay at Hammocks. Our room was clean. The highlight was fishing with High Caliber Sport Fishing located right at the Hammocks' dock. Very convenient and a great time!

So relaxing

We had everything we needed and more. Plenty of room to spread out. It was nice having a small kitchen. We were able to see a beautiful sunset from the dock behind the tiki bar.

Wish I could have stayed longer!

It was truly relaxing! I loved the onsite food/drinks availability. The pool area was tropical and you can see the partial view of the ocean. We loved the server Trae in the Tiki Hut . She was great and nothing was a problem for her. Our unit looked out over the pool area. We used the free washer/dryer and it was very clean! Everything you would need was provided.

The Hammocks offers guests an opportunity to relax and to forget about their worries because of the size of the resort, the caring staff, the atmosphere and the no rush attitude of everyone!

Amazing!

Better than the description! The villa was perfect for our family of four, especially the large bathroom, which fit all of my and my daughter's various beauty products and allowed us to get ready at the same time. There was a full kitchen, though there are tons of eateries within walking distance, including Barnacle Barneys, which had great food and was located on the property. They also had live music playing. At night you can watch the amazing sunset over the water on the hammocks near the dock. The property was beautiful- walking out to the dock, you could see parrotfish, barracuda, and at certain times when the fishing boats return, you can watch them throw their remains in the water, attracting giant tarpon, nurse sharks, and blacktip sharks (all from the dock at a safe distance of course). The host was very communicative and lovely- I would go back in a heartbeat!

We are so very happy you found the Hammocks to meet your family's needs and wishes. We love the Hammocks for all reasons you wrote. Being a casual resort with about 50 condos makes for a very enjoyable stay for couples and families.

My husband and I live in Indiana and prefer to spend the cold winter grey days in the sunny warm Florida Keys. We discovered Marathon about 15 years ago and were attracted to the casualness of the area. Marathon is not a tourist trap, but a place to unwind and enjoy the sun. We love the staff at The Hammocks and the property itself. There are local restaurants which offer a variety of food. We have the Tiki bar on property or a great kitchen and outdoor grills if we want to stay in for meals.

We enjoy The Hammocks because it is not a large property, but still offers all of the amenities we prefer, such as the Tiki Bar, swimming pool, hot tub and located on the water. If you enjoy fishing, there are charter boats available at the marina which is located on property.
