Direct waterfront on a private, saltwater, tidal lagoon. Snorkel in safety as the lagoon is stocked with tropical fish and lobsters - no stingrays, no sharks, no jellyfish, no crocs or alligators! The lagoon goes down to 40 feet and was once used for training by the Navy Seals in the early 1960's! prior to being developed as a condo and marina.
Two pools on the property. A jetty goes out to the sea on the Atlantic side where you can watch sunrises and sunsets. You may fish from the jetty. Slip rentals are also available from the Harbor Master at Kawama Yacht Club.

Property was convenient, clean, and comfortable. There were lots of activities and great food options nearby. Having 2 bathrooms was great since we were traveling with a family of 4. We had fun kayaking at Coral State Park and we were close by to Everglades and Biscayne National Park where we did some excellent snorkeling. It was great having the pool and lagoon at the property also. We had a great time and hope to go back to Key Largo again sometime. I highly recommend Against the Grain fishing charter and the Dolphin Plus dolphin encounter.

Very nice place, very clean, a little tight for 5 people but a perfect area to view the Keys from. Two nice pools and the lagoon for viewing fish and kayaks. Highly recommended. Enjoyed our week stay. Bad timing for beaches due to sea grass and bacteria issues.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was as expected. We had a little delay at check-in, but host fixed the issue within minutes. Only mention because his quick response shows how responsive he was when we had an issue. However, that was the ONLY issue because everything else was great. We would definitely stay there again.

The property has too many checks obstacles when checking in. The gatekeeper was ridiculous upon pulling to the property. They didn’t have our name on the list and were extremely difficult. We were told parking in the front which we got told we couldn’t park there. A lady was yelling outside to get our attention and it was not great. The property was clean but extremely outdated and the second bathroom is downstairs, not by bedrooms

Loved having the lagoon right outside the back door. Water was clear and stocked with lots of really cool fish. The place had been updated from the pictures online and it was very clean. The host, Daniel, was great. Really fast at responding. We had one issue with the grill but he had it fixed in less than 24 hours! Thanks so much for making our first trip to the Keys such a great experience!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Kawama Yacht Club is a very unique location in the Florida Keys... we are one of the few places where short-term stays are permitted.
We are located in a gated, guarded complex that is situated right on the Atlantic ocean. The townhomes are nestled between our private, filtered, saltwater lagoon and an annex of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park - so you are basically staying in a waterfront park!
There is a marina for boaters, slip rentals are separate and can be arranged through the Harbormaster. There is a boat ramp as well.
You may swim in either pool or snorkel in the filtered saltwater tidal lagoon - it goes down to 40 feet and was once used to train Navy Seals prior to the Bay of Pigs invasion in the early 1960's.
It is a unique feature of Kawama.
