Galene, (pronounced Ga-Lay-Nee) is named after the Goddess of Calm Seas. This charming townhome is your respite for healing and renewal. In the heart of Old Mt. Pleasant, less than 15 minutes to downtown Charleston, 5 minutes to Sullivan's Island, Shem Creek and the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant, you are in the best location to all the area has to offer. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets minutes away at the Pitt Street Bridge. Grocery, restaurants all conveniently located close by.

Our space is filled with color, art and all things zesty about life. A Boho style, mixed with a little island flair. Have your morning cup of joe in the sunroom or an afternoon cocktail on the back deck.

Enjoy the fully stocked chef's kitchen with all the necessary pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses and cookbooks to accommodate our guests cooking needs. Microwave, toaster and coffee maker also provided. We provide 1 complementary roll of paper towels and 4 rolls of toilet paper.

Other things to note:

- NOTE: The property requires 3 steps and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility

- NOTE: The bedrooms and full bathroom are on the second floor

- REGULATORY: Short-term Rental Permit #ST250259; Town of Mount Pleasant Business License #20132253

- PETS NOT ALLOWED: While we will accept requests for guests with ADA service animals with certificate, please consider other rentals as one of the hosts is allergic to some pet danders.

The host responded quickly to all communications. Fully stocked kitchen was very helpful in prepping meals.The location was central to Sullivan’s beach, Ft Sumter and downtown Charleston. That was fantastic! Groceries, restaurants, stores were also minutes’ drive away.Plenty of beach chairs and beach towels to use. Outdoor area was nicely kept. We would have used more if it had been cooler and not stormy. Sleeping areas were roomy and comfortable. The bright colors and decor definitely gave it a tropical beachy feel. Cozy space for movie nights.

Perfect location.

We moved our daughter to Mount Pleasant and this was the perfect location to her place as well as the beaches and Shem Creek. The sunset was beautiful at Pitt Street bridge. The beds were very comfortable.

Great location and wonderful communication. I wish they would put a bed rating on VRBO so I could give this place 5 stars! Lots of chairs for the beach and a nice quiet, low traffic area. Right off Coleman by the bridge. Highly recommended!

All we hoped for!

We enjoyed our stay! Appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels, quality and quantity of towels, beds and special touches everywhere in the home! Also the outside space was so lovely. We really did not want for anything.

Great Visit!

Awesome location, close to the beach on Sullivan’s Island and a short 15 minute drive to Charleston, we really enjoyed our stay here. House was very clean and nicely appointed, with a kitchen well equipped to cook our evening meals. Location is very quiet with a great back deck! Hosts were very responsive, and we felt comfortable asking any questions. We would definitely recommend and plan to stay again.

Trip to Mt. Pleasant

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! We had a smooth checkin/checkout and appreciated a quick response from the host when we had a question. The location is close to the beach and many great restaurants. The outdoor patio with comfy furniture was a plus. The home was very clean, there were a lot of towels and plenty of dishware. Overall, an awesome stay and we would love to come again!!

Loved this property! Clean, comfortable. It had everything you would need from kitchen essentials to your beach needs. Location was perfect!! Property was very peaceful, quiet and so close to everything. Sullivans beach was less than 5 min away. Charleston was as equally easy to get to. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and great location

Extremely clean, Check in was easy and straightforward, check out the same. Beds were incredible. Loved having the 2 bathrooms and ability to cook and do laundry. My only complaint is how warm it was. We came during a heat wave, but coming from Kansas where it is over 100 degrees and humid (I know, hard to believe), I thought the AC unit of that size would be able to keep up with where we stayed. Unit may need cleaned out to be more efficient or at least provide 1-2 box or stand up fans for visitors for the price we paid to stay. 3 nights in a row it was 78 degrees inside when trying to sleep. Owner was notified and told “it’s very hot outside and hard to keep cool.” Overall a good stay and tons of memories.

We found out after the stay that our HVAC was completely shot. As a result, we have replaced the entire system with a brand new Trane which is working perfectly.

Loved the location. Quiet and close to Sullivan’s And Alan’s and Shem Creek. The townhome was clean and the back yard space was really nice, especially for a quiet morning cup of coffee. Definitely on our list of “visit again” locations.
