The host was very proactive during our stay. They helped us out with many things including activities in the area. We walked to everything in town while we were there. It's a quiet place and well equipped for our needs.The resident sloth in the tree next door was a nice addition to our stay!

We were two families staying for 3 nights. Host was very responsive, always available to respond to questions. The location was absolutely perfect. It was within walking distance to the town square/park, lots of restaurants and shops. The house was adequately stocked to be able to be able to cook meals. The house was clean and well maintained and the pool was wonderful for the kids to swim in.

We were allowed to get in 30 minutes early, Carlos was attentive for the most part. The unit is very run down, the lights and fan were fixed once we asked why we had no outdoor lights, the cupboards and and counters very run down, the oven and washer is in need of repair. The rooms were extremely small, and dated, good for a single person and the bathroom dated, one of the toilet leaked The location was good, walking distance to everything, the pool was nice, for cooling off. We ended up leaving 3 days early, as the weather was terrible and the unit was not one that you would miss.

A great spot!

It was in a great location, very quiet, the pool was awesome. It was just what we needed for a big family vacation for everyone to have their own space, but quality time together as well.

Excellent family house in great location

We stayed with our two sons and their wives and had the best time. The house is great. Nice to have a the pool house bedroom. The pool was wonderful and the location in town was peaceful yet right near the main square. Lots of restaurants and shops. Just down the road from so many great volcano and forest activities. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Place to Stay in La Fortuna

This was a great place to stay for our time in La Fortuna. The house is just a block away from the center of town and easy walking distance to many restaurants and tour operators. The pool was a very refreshing option in the heat and the space was great for our family's home base as we explored La Fortuna.

Great house, a short walk to LaFortuna town center with all the amenities you would need -- Groceries, restaurants and souvenirs. House worked well for our family of 7. Kitchen stocked with decent pots, dishes and cooking utensils. Pool provides a nice break after a day of touring. Property pictures accurately represent house. Listing states no a/c in living area. Additional cooling in those spaces would make the property even better

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The pool was a great way to cool off, and the outside covered deck came in handy during afternoon downpours. Was able to book discounted tickets through the host to one of the hot spring resorts. Fabulous vacation rental!!

We loved the VRBO home in La Fortuna. The pool with the was very refreshing for a morning or afternoon dip. The manager was very accommodating whenever we needed anything and also helped us book the best tours around. So much to see and do, and the house located right in town was perfectly situated for a lot of conveniences. Thanks for a great stay, definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay

Even better than the photos portray! Loved everything about it. Very clean, beautiful pool area. Walking distance to everything. We named the neighborhood sloth "Sebastián". Saw him all the time - from chairs at pool area, look way up and to the left in the neighbors tree. Enjoyed watching him each day! Highly recommend and would deconstruct stay here again!

Great Location, great property!

Great place to stay in La Fortuna! Close to restaurants and shops. Easy to get to and park on property. We could see a sloth from the back yard. Had a small problem due to very heavy rain but the management group were great and helped us out right away.

Great location within walking distance to restaurants

Property manager was excellent to deal with. Great location and clean property. Pool suite seemed a bit old and dated. Very noisy surrounding area and thought someone tried to enter the main house but when security camera was reviewed they said they didn’t see anything. Property does have alarm system installed but we didn’t feel the safest.

As we could checked there was not anyone trying to go inside the property, cameras were checked and nothing came up, even you told us that probably your friends were not sure where noise came from so ensuring that something happened without any proofs is not very good from your end. The property have been working without any issues in a very safe neighborhood. About the noise in the area it is the first guests that let us know this. Regards, Eder

Perfect location and the house was great! Perfect size for our family and very clean and well stocked! We LOVED it and wish we could have stayed longer! And there was a sloth in the tree in the property right behind the house so we sat by the pool and watched the sloth! FANTASTIC!

Our names are Eder Cruz & Allen Murillo, two good friends that have more than 15 years of experience working in tourism in La Fortuna, we grew up La Fortuna and decided to work together creating Home Vacations La Fortuna on May 2015, our main goal: Make things easier and simple for our guest.
On 2018 we create The House of Tours to provide our guests the best experiences during their stay in La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, we have the best tours and transportation services/rates in the area.

We manage/own about 40 properties in La Fortuna, we have a wide variety of options: private bedrooms, apartments, cabins, homes and villas up to 16 people some of them with private pool, hot tubs, nice opens areas, creeks nearby and more facilities. Over this years we have met lot of people which is one of the best things about working in tourism, every day we work very hard to make our guest happy so our business has been very successful thanks to the good reviews that we get from them.

Adding The House of Tours we hire Alonso Esquivel which is a expert tour guide and he works with us in the office so we can offer anything you need in La Fortuna, we have an office in downtown La Fortuna where we meet our guest so you don’t have to go around looking your property just get to our office and we will guide you to your place.
