Beach Studio Condo ~ Olympic Sized Pool , directly on the intracoastal waterway

This Guest rented our condo for 4 nights over the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. The second day of their stay the wrote and said that unit was dirty and they wanted a refund. Within 5 minutes I responded and told the guest that we were surprised but no problem we would send our cleaning lady over within one hour to completely clean the unit again if necessary. Sometime later guest wrote back and said they had left the unit earlier and wanted a full refund even though they had the unit for 2 days, over a valuable holiday weekend. Come to find out they never arrived until the second day then immediately requested a refund We had guests in our unit who departed 2 days before this guest arrived who gave us a 5 star review and subsequent we had guests arrive the day after their departure who have also given us a 5 star review. We discussed this with VRBO who agreed that this guest was noy entitled to a refund, HOWEVER they have now stopped payment on their credit card so we now have lost all our holiday rental. The review process should not be a tool for guests to use to get a refund, simply because they have changed their mind. I hope other property owners read the reviews about this guest, I wish I would have!!

W First we want to thank our guest from the wonderful review! As for the neighbors smoking , as everyone knows guests come and go in all rentals including ours and even though they should not smoke on the balcony ,many do, but I must say this is the first issue we have had reported. In regards to the balcony each unit has it's own balcony and they are not shared. The screen was there but it had been opened so far that it could not be easily seen we are working on that issue.

In this case we are sure the guest is not referring to our unit but to the common areas. Unfortunately our resort was hit with a small tornado(micro burst) a couple months ago and even though our unit was not affected there was a significant amount of work that had to be done around the property and due to that the walkways and staircases along with other common areas became dirty and not as pleasing to the eye as normal. All of the common areas are schedule for a full cleaning and overall renovation in early March 2022 thus returning the common areas to their normal 5 star condition.

We want to thank our guest for the very nice 4 star review. Beach front property is a little expensive for a coffee shop to handle HOWEVER within just a few blocks both directions there are several places to get coffee and morning treats. We have not had any complaints before about our lock box however one is enough ,so we have scheduled it to be replaced. Thanks to the guest again!

First I would like to thank this guest for the four star review.! As I understand it the only issue that kept the review from being a 5 star is the missing conference/ recreation room. I can assure all future guests that there is indeed a very large conference/ recreation room with very strong WiFi and 24/7 access. Information on the location of the conference/recreational room is provided in the check in packet along with the access code and the Wi Fi access information, so I do not know how it could have been missed. At our resort like many resorts cable TV and internet service is provide at no cost via our home owners association fees. Again thanks to this guest for the nice review !
