Finally, a home to come home to on Smith Mountain Lake! This beautiful, contemporary home awaits on a gentle slope down to the lake. Play in the yard all day, or jump off the private dock and swim in the refreshing, deep blue-green waters! Pet fee is per dog per stay. No more than 2 dogs allowed, no puppies

Play by day and relax at night by the fireplace. Enjoy a pool table, dart board, and board games here in your home away from home. The dock has a built-in complete with bar stools, bluetooth speakers and a full-size fridge - perfect for relaxing on the lake.

The beautiful Great Room includes wood floors, a propane fireplace, and cathedral ceilings - a great gathering space for your entire family. The second kitchen downstairs is good for those who need some extra room or for cooking on different schedules.
Maximum occupancy 10 --4 bedrooms, 1 extra room with a bed and 3 baths. All bedrooms come with a TV with fire sticks for streaming videos.

This home is a great find for all who want to enjoy Smith Mountain Lake and its many treasures. The owners wish to make your stay here the best you have ever had on Smith Mountain Lake. The walk to the water is a bit steep with only a few stairs. Not great for wheelchairs or for people that have a hard time walking. Note: We start you off with a fresh roll of paper towels and toilet paper each bathroom. Cleaning fee includes sheets and towels.

This house is wonderful. There was nothing left for us to want as the house had every amenity imaginable. The location on the lake was perfect and it was a very quite neighborhood.

Beautiful, peaceful place - GREAT stay

My family had a wonderful time. Owners were very accommodating and responded immediately to any message. My son caught several fish straight off the dock:) The view is beautiful at dawn and dusk!

My family enjoyed our stay at Shangrila! The house is well stocked and clean. The beds were very comfortable. It was an added bonus to not have to pay for a slip at a marina for our boat! Just walk out, hop on, and go!

Family vacation!

My family and I had a great time here! I would rent this house again! Accommodations were great! We really loved the water! Maybe hard to get to the water if handicapped!

My husband and I enjoyed 5 nights in this beautiful home. The home was supplied with everything we needed , we enjoyed cooking, grilling , playing a few games of pool and just relaxing on the dock with beautiful views . Grateful homeowners allowed dogs and we enjoyed many walks through beautiful neighborhood meeting friendly neighbors and watching abundance wildlife. Homeowners super nice and responsive to any questions we had.

Wonderful stay
 house was great with spacious living areas. Loved the pool table and games at house. The dock area was perfect for swimming and our boat for the week. Fishing was excellent on the dock and in and around the cove. Perfect week to relaxation and family fun! Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay!!

Relaxing lake stay

We enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La. We had extended family with us for a graduation and the house was exactly what we needed. The two bedrooms and full bath on the main level was perfect for the grandparents. The location was so peaceful. The house had everything we needed to cook for the entire family.

Fantastic Family Celebration!

Our extended family of 8 adults gathered to celebrate a birthday milestone. The house was great - plenty of bedrooms and baths for all, extra refrigerator and oven in the basement, darts, pool, and tv's, a spacious deck with large table and seating for all, a terrific dock for our boat, and two kayaks. Ages 35-70 enjoyed it all! We had an issue checking in, as VRBO

Great house!

Very clean place for a house that allows dogs. I will say that if u have much age on u, it is a steep walk up the hill from the dock. It has a well stocked kitchen and very well maintained yard. I highly recommend this place.

Stay at Shangri-La

The home is wonderful and is stocked well. The dock and boathouse was awesome! It is a steep walk but well worth it! We did bring extra paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, etc. that we did need to use. We also brought our own beach towels which we needed as there were none there. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again!

June Family Vacation at Shangrila

We had a great time at the Shangrila! Our first family vacation with the grandkids. They had a blast on the dock fishing for sunfish and relaxing by the water. We fished for striper 4 days and had success everyday and caught some nice smallmouth and largemouth bass as well. We would definitely recommend this rental for a family; very spacious, clean, and in a quiet cul de sac on the water. We will be back next year.

Great family house

We stayed her for a week in mid July. It was me my husband, his parents, three teenage siblings, and a family friend couple. Even though there were many people in the house we never felt like we're were right on Top of each other. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Amazing spot on the lake for boating and Watersports!

Nice get away

Had a great time with family at the lake. Property had plenty of kitchen and dock supplies. Walk to the dock was very steep - some had difficulty traveling back and forth...one family member was never able to go down. House had issues with bugs inside and on deck.

Great Graduation/Mother's Day long weekend getaway!

The house is gorgeous and spacious. The ground level could easily be a separate living space with its own bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and laundry. I made mistakes both checking in and out but the host and cleaning crew were quick and easy to help me fix it so I can’t commend them enough for that. If you’re someone who likes to cook food directly on the grill, you might want to make other plans due to some rust but the benefits of this home far outweigh that one minor thing. Thanks for hosting myself and my family! We appreciate you!!

Little slice of heaven

This was our third stay at this property across three different seasons and we’ve loved each visit! The house itself is clean and cozy, bathrooms and both kitchens are well stocked, and checking in/out is very easy! The dock has a great set up and the bar area saves a lot of back and forth for drinks/snacks throughout the day/night. We got a lot of use out of it over the summer, but also enjoyed it during our fall and winter stays. The neighborhood is well maintained and feels very safe. Overall, we have loved visiting the lake and staying at Shangrila! We are excited to come back again in the summer!

This house is part of our dream come true and we love sharing the beauty of this lake by hosting you in our home. We live in Northern Virginia and love getting away from the city. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful that it resets the soul, no matter how long the stay.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Being in a cove allows for more relaxation when swimming or floating with the family. We love to Kayak over to the next cove and the dock has a tiki hut bar, "Wet Feet Retreat", that includes a small refrigerator, lights and Bluetooth wireless speakers for playing music. It's great for day and night! There is a pool table, dartboard, cornhole boards and assorted games and puzzles in the basement for your enjoyment or you can sit around the fire pit. We are also very close to Mitchell's Marina for renting boats and/or jetskis. A fireplace in the basement and one on the main floor make this a great fall and winter retreat as well. We look forward to hosting you and would be happy to hear how your visit was and feel free to reach out with any questions or recommendations for things to do!
