As tor the surrounding neighborhood, it's an urban area with a lot of local character, and most guests have enjoyed its convenience and charm. I believe you had mentioned you were from a more countryside neighborhood so I can see the difference. Nice visit

Our stay at The Dean was nice for a group of 4. The property was clean and reasonably priced. It was a short distance in to the South side of Boston and parking in front of the property was not a problem.

Priced Right

Overall adequate for the price. Owner was very responsive responding to questions. Finding a parking spot could be a challenge depending on the time of day. Add 20/30 minutes to listed drive times to local destinations.

The appartment suited our needs (didn’t cook during our stay and didn’t need laundry). The photos definitely make the place look nicer than it actually was. It’s a bit run down. The beds were comfortable, A/C worked and the fans were nice. Neighborhood was ok with a mix or nice and sketchy. Walk to the commuter rail was nice and an easy ride to downtown.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad the apartment met your needs and that you found the beds comfortable, the A/C and fans effective, and the location convenient for getting downtown. The building is part of Boston’s historic fabric, and we do our best to maintain its classic New England charm while providing modern comforts. Some natural wear is to be expected in older buildings, but we’re always working to keep the space clean, functional, and welcoming. The neighborhood, like many in large cities, offers a mix of residential and urban life. It may not resemble every neighborhood, but many guests appreciate its unique character, walkability, and proximity to key attractions like Fenway and public transit. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again in the future.

The property is very nice once you get inside. It is large and well-stocked. However the stairs in the front are very difficult to navigate, especially if you have luggage. Also there is nothing much within walking distance and is not in a great neighborhood, one Uber driver commented that I was brave to stay there. Also there is a cleaning fee, but the guest is required to take out the trash and wash all dishes.

I’m not sure if it was a problem more with VRBO in that I couldn’t download the app properly and manage our reservation. The property was a little older than I thought it would be. Location was a little far from stops and surrounding area wouldn’t have been my first choice. Otherwise, property manager was responsive and helpful, I guess I was just surprised with the general location of the place.

Beau logement au Sud de Fenway Park

Logement très propre avec commodités complètes. Locateur facile à joindre. Très bien pour le prix. Pas d'épicerie proche. Être blanc nous identifiait automatiquement comme étranger (Inconfortable).
