Cet adorable chalet est dans un emplacement idéal! Situé dans un cul-de-sac avec cinq autres maisons. 5 minutes à pied dans la rue vous amène à White Pond. Le chalet a des droits notariés sur l'étang, pour vous permettre de pêcher et de faire du canoë-kayak. Il dispose de 3 chambres - 1 lit queen, 2 lits jumeaux et lits superposés qui dorment 2. Chaque chambre a une commode, un placard ou les deux. Une salle de bain avec douche et lavabo. Avec un plan d'étage ouvert et ensoleillé, il offre beaucoup d'espace de vie. Laveuse / sécheuse et air central. Les draps, les serviettes de bain et les torchons de cuisine sont tous inclus. La cuisine entièrement équipée est la taille idéale pour préparer un repas et se détendre à la maison plutôt que de manger à l'extérieur. Détendez-vous dans la véranda et profitez de votre livre préféré et du café du matin. Juste devant la porte de la cuisine se trouve un tout nouveau barbecue à gaz Weber pour 2018. Des chaises de plage, des serviettes de plage et un grand parasol sont à votre disposition. Plus des jouets de sable pour les enfants. L'aménagement paysager est agréable avec de l'herbe et des arbres matures. Parking pour 2 voitures.

Cottage is well located in Chatham with easy access to downtown and local beaches. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need for cooking, grilling, laundry, etc. We had a very pleasant week's stay and owner communicates well for providing information and answering questions.

Lovely base for a Cape stay

This property made a lovely base for exploring the Cape. Easily accessible, near some good restaurants and an easy drive to Chatham, Harwich and beyond. Access to the public beach at White Pond was a highlight - we swam every day!

My husband and I stayed in this lovely Cape house with our 13-year old son while we were in town for a week for a family wedding. It was perfect! It’s such a sweet spot, and reminded me of the Cape vacations we used to take when I was a kid - peaceful, simple, and carefree.It’s an easy walk to a great bakery and coffee shop, and a nice walk to the shops and restaurants on Main Street.Sharon is easy to communicate with, and does a great job hosting.We’d definitely recommend this rental.

Great summer getaway

We really enjoyed the cottage for our end of summer trip to Chatham. Sharon was a wonderful and generous host who responded timely to any inquiries we had. Great location in Chatham with easy access to downtown as well as Chatham beaches. Nice, quiet street with access to walking trails. Would stay here again!

July 4th Vacation

Sharon's home is exactly what my family needed for a week long trip to the Cape. It's in a great location, not too far from downtown and an easy drive to Ridgevale Beach (our favorite). The bedrooms were comfortable for us and our baby daughter, and the kitchen allowed us to cook/prepare meals. Would definitely recommend for couples and small families!

Nice place centrally located. Larry’s PX great and the Sylvan Garden was a nice surprise! I wouldn’t necessarily brag about access to White Pond however.

Sharon was a great host and check-in and communication were super easy. Great proximity to downtown and to beaches and that is really all we cared about. Accommodations were clean and neat albeit rustic and dated. In summary, for the cost in the overpriced Cape this is a solid choice.

Great Location

My daughters and I were in town for the annual Christmas Stroll. Sharon's house is adorable, clean, comfortable and you cannot beat the location. Very close to town and the the fish market where we purchased steamed and cracked lobster for our dinner. We enjoyed walking down to White Pond to watch the gorgeous sunset. Street is tucked away off of Rte 28 on a quiet road. Fabulous and festive weekend.

Balfour cottage

What a great place to stay! I was on the Cape for Thanksgiving so it was a different kind of vacation but just as much fun. This sweet house had everything I needed and close to town and the beach. I loved walking the Sylvan Path every morning. The host stayed in touch to make sure everything was fine. Thanks Sharon!

A lovely mini-baby Moon with my husband

We had a lovely time in Chatham! We went fishing at white pond lake 2 of the days and caught some big bass. We drove to Mayflower beach one day. We observed the light house and walked along light house beach where we saw live star fish, crabs, love mollusks in the shallow water. We observed at the fishing pier where we saw the fishermen unload their fish and the seals surround the boat for a snack. The home was a short drive to shopping and restaurants. Overall a lot of happy memories before baby arrives and we were very happy about the affordable price of our stay.

Open floor plan, walk to restaurants, and bedding was a plus!

Beach towels, beach toys if you have young kids were available along with bath towels Rooms were decent sized. Bedding was asthetically pleasing. Beds were comfortable. Lots of extra blankets and throws Heating and AC were so helpful as it was unusually cold when we were at the cape Love the grill and easy to use Walk to restaurants Easy access to Main Street Use public access to white pond on the other side of pond Owner was easy to communicate with and helpful Sunroom was a nice private "room" kids could play cards in at night and not worry about waking up the rest of the house. Clean house Cons: Bunk bedroom had a closet but it was locked so a bit challenging for kids to manage clothes out of their luggage. No dresser Bathroom was oddly laid out Typical early check out at 10 can be challenging due to laundering bedding at 8 am but it saves you from bringing your own.

The house smells so badly like it has been closed for years with no airing out. I threw everything I brought out or in the wash as soon as I got home. And ANTS and EARWIGS everywhere! Sitting on the sofa, prepping food in the kitchen and laying in bed, they were always crawling on us. We were there for a week, and there wasn't even enough soap to last 3 days. After contacting the owner for MANY other issues, and getting a lackluster response, I gave up and just dealt with everything myself. Not a way I wanted to spend my vacation! Tried to move after day 2, but everything was full for the week.

What is most baffling about this review is the only thing this guest complained about to me, was the WiFi wasn’t working upon her arrival. All these other complaints were never mentioned in the week she stayed at my cottage. Only after she returned home did she write them! When she first arrived the WiFi wasn’t working. I immediately got her and and an Xfinity agent on the phone, to try and solve the problem. To no avail I was directed to their local office on Cape Cod to exchange the non working unit for a new one. I paid my handyman to do this for me, so as not to disturb the guest. She had internet less than 24 hrs after she arrived. I compensated her for the loss of WiFi by returning $100 of her cleaning deposit. I felt this was the right thing to do. Fast forward to the day she checked out. My housekeeper arrived to a very messy house to clean up. The guest ignored the “House Rules.” Guests load the dishwasher with dirty dishes and turn it on. They bag up the kitchen and bathroom trashes and put them in the outdoor receptacle. All dirty towels and sheets are put in the washer and dryer, provided for them, for my housekeeper to retrieve. She did none of this. This guest was my 4th renter of the season and there are no bugs in the house! My housekeeper confirmed this.

I have been vacationing in Chatham with my children, for nearly 30 years. Now my grandchildren love it as much as we do! It was a dream come true to purchase a home here. The people here are warm and friendly. Also, with 67 miles of coastline what is not to love?!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This home first caught my eye because of its walkability to so many places. Within a five minute walk is New England Pizza, Cuffy's store and seafood market. It is also only a 1.1 mile walk/drive to the Chatham rotary. A 5 minute stroll to White Pond for swimming or
canoeing!
