This property is a gem! The condo is beautiful, spacious (2000 sqft) and private. It’s historic with all the modern amenities (full kitchen w/granite counter tops and full size kitchen-aide appliances, a large porch suitable for outdoor gathering with a gas grill and fireplace. It has private off street parking and only one block from downtown Manitou springs with so much to do and see. Locals and tourists are very friendly. We had such a great time! I highly recommend this property!

This a great place to stay in Manitou! It’s a beautiful old house that’s been updated and it’s walkable to town! We spent a lot of time sitting in the big porch, especially in the mornings! Joanne was very easy to communicate with and she even installed a tv in the master bedroom for us!

The front porch is the perfect place to enjoy the summer. Whether early morning coffee, hosting a BBQ or relaxing in the evening, it affords protection from the elements, privacy and beautiful views!
Installing the 2nd TV in the Master bedroom was a good suggestion that I think future guests will an enjoy.
Guests discovered the shops and restaurants just down the street, explored the attractions within easy driving distance and enjoyed the property's amenities.
They are welcomed to come again, anytime!

Perfect getaway
This property is absolutely superb. Location is excellent for walking around the streets of Manitou. There were a few items needed upon check in but owners resolved quickly. Would love to stay here again.

Awesome property, with killer location. If you want to be right in the heart of Manitou, and close to pikes peak / Barr trail/ penny arcade.
This is a top spot.

Overall, this is a BEAUTIFUL place. There were several issues with cleanliness and maintenance. None were serious, but the combination led to a disappointing vacation. Dishes with food on them in the cabinet, dirty windows, poor TV access, no gas to the fireplaces at all ( could not use), light bulbs burned out in light above table, leaking soap dispenser. Poor response from host.

Wonderful House and Host
We found this house when our original rental house turned out to not exist (yes VRBO listed a house that doesn't exist). Joanne literally saved our trip and was so understanding and helpful. The home was beautiful and had all of the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The house is full of beautiful antiques. The kitchen is modern and I enjoyed cooking in it. Any time we needed something, Joanne and her husband, John, were quick to help. I absolutely adore Joanne and consider her to be an angel that literally saved us. I can't wait to go back and stay there again, I miss it already.

John and I enjoy meeting guests, hearing their unique stories and responding with any help. This was a loving family which missed out on the first four days of their vacation due to an unfortunate event which was totally out of their control. We are glad they were able to settle in, enjoy the comforts of the home and its location within walking distance everything Manitou has to offer. Their observing two bird hatchings and firsts flights during the their visit was a wonderful plus to their experiences fo the home. We are looking forward to welcoming whenever they come again!

Excellent Remodel
We stayed in the Garden level of this gorgeous historic home very conveniently located to downtown Manitou, it is just minutes to shops, coffee, and restaurants. The remodel was amazing. All of the character of a house of that era was preserved-the stone walls, wood work, and windows. And yet it was very modern with a kitchen that included granite countertop, a copper sink, a large island with an amazing gas stove, and built in microwave and oven. There an attractive butler’s pantry. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. The master bedroom was larg with a walk in closet space. The second bedroom also had a large walk-in closet space. Both en-suite bathrooms were very beautiful and modern. (There is also a half bath in the living space.) The unit had some type of air exchange unit so the house never had the odor you might expect from a house of this age. We really loved the washer/dryer unit because it was creatively hidden behind built in bookshelves. Oh, and the floors were gorgeous—not sure what they were treated with but polished concrete with a great design. We also liked having an outdoor space (table, grill The reason I scored cleanliness so low had to do with an issue with a cleaner getting sick, but when we arrived the host was there working on the issue. She followed up with us the next morning to be sure everything was finally taken care of. Another thing we appreciated was the info the host sent ahead of time about things to do, adjusting to high altitudes, etc.
