Updated apartment in beautiful, safe neighborhood.

My husband, two boys (6 & 11) and I stayed in this quaint, little, clean apartment for four nights. They provided coffee, creamer and bathroom necessities. It was perfect for a short stay. When we did need something the owner was quick to reply and get it to us. If need be we will stay here again.

Overall we had a very nice stay! A little hiccup to begin the trip due to difficult time obtaining the check in information and the host being out of the country at the time. That being said once I got ahold of VRBO and they reached out to the host, they responded right away and took care of us. The host and their daughter (who was taking care of the property while the host was out of the country) exchanged contact information with us and both were great about communication when we needed it! The daughter responded within minutes to an inquiry we had and even brought us extra towels when we needed them. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and the house was super close to both locations of the fields (10 minutes to the one campus and about 2 miles to the other field). Port Jefferson was about 10-15 minutes away and was a great location to get a bite to eat, be near the water and enjoy the atmosphere!

Convenient location, clean but not for me

I stay in a lot of rental places and I used to have a rental myself. The location was great and the place was clean. It had pretty much everything you might need for a few days: coffee, pots, dishes, etc. Lesslie, the host, was very communicative and brought extra towels when I asked for them. However, this wasn't the VRBO place for me:I found the bed unbearable: it was so soft you'd roll to the middle. I ended up cutting my stay short to sleep elsewhere. I also didn't love the email that threatened a 100 fine for leaving any lights on when you went out for the night. It made it hard to get back inside when we were getting home late.And the pit bull and rottweiler that greeted me Christmas morning when I was leaving to visit my parents' place put me over the edge. They were fine dogs - just barking - but after not getting any sleep, it was just too much. We checked out early.

The host was extremely attentive to any questions or needs. Excellent and immediate communication. Good, quiet location between Islip airport and Port Jefferson. The size of the unit was very adequate for two people. Bathroom was clean and adequately stocked with towels and wash cloths.The reason for 2 stars is we thought the apartment was not very clean from floor to ceiling. This apartment has huge potential to be very cute. In my option, it needs an entire over haul.

The place was great. It was clean and spacious, and located on a quiet street. It was also accessible to all the major roads. The host was very accommodating. Very pleased with it all and would highly recommend!

Comfortable unit in a quiet neighborhood. Had a nice chat with the host (Leslie) when I arrived and during my week-long stay she checked in multiple times to make sure everything was going OK.

Muito boa! Confortável, limpa e organizada. A host sempre muito solicita e atenciosa. Destaco dois pontos que podem ser um empecilho a alguém que queira se hospedar: 1ª localização: Necessidade de usar carro para se deslocar para outros lugares. 2 imóvel: Por ser um local um pouco fechado pode ser que pessoas com alergia (como é o meu caso) acabem sendo afetadas.

El espacio es cómodo y tal como se describe en la publicación. Tiene todos los utensilios y artefactos de cocina necesarios. Estaba muy limpio. Los aires acondicionados funcionaban de forma excelente lo cual fue muy bueno ya que nos tocaron días calurosos. Tanto Leslie como su marido se mostraron muy predispuestos a brindarnos asistencia cuando la necesitamos así como información sobre negocios en el barrio. El cual es muy pintoresco y tranquilo. Los anfitriones no hablaban español,nosotros no hablamos en inglés y sin embargo se esforzaron por comunicarse y estuvieron muy bien predispuestos. Muy recomendable
