Si la tranquillité est ce que vous recherchez en vacances, alors "Rosie by the Bay" est l'endroit où aller. Sentez-vous chez vous ici dans nos chalets de plage à quelques pas de la baie de Greenwich. C'est l'endroit idéal pour se détendre sans la foule des autres plages de la Nouvelle-Angleterre. Tout est pris en charge ici dans ce bungalow de plage récemment rénové où vos soucis disparaîtront.
Les commodités du chalet comprennent un porche avant pour regarder les couchers de soleil. Deux chambres avec lits queen et un canapé-lit queen pour accueillir 6 adultes. Nous avons une cuisine bien équipée, salle de bain complète avec laveuse et sécheuse. Tous les draps, serviettes de bain et de plage sont fournis. Profitez d'une grande cour avec une table en granit pouvant accueillir 10 personnes, un foyer et un grill. La maison dispose d'un système de sécurité, de l'air et du chauffage central, d'Internet et de la télévision. Les promenades nocturnes au restaurant et au bar en plein air d'Iggy sont toujours amusantes pour la chaudrée et les gâteaux aux palourdes. Une excellente façon de passer des vacances en Nouvelle-Angleterre.

Awesome home at an amazing location. My family loved the proximity to the beach and destinations through out the state. Home was fully stocked with anything you can possibly think of. Pure Relaxation

Our stay at Rosie by the Bay was our first as a family of three. Everything we needed for our 10 month was provided and ready to use. It was a perfect retreat and just steps from the ocean. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning for breakfast and in the evening as the sun set. We especially loved the outdoor shower. Our stay here exceeded our expectations!

Rosie By The Bay is the perfect spot for R&R! Totally updated; everything works; clean and most comfortable! Front porch views of Greenwich Bay are spectacular! Lovely little beach. Great food a few minutes walk away. Owners are fantastic, readily available, and flexible.

The best seaside cottage in Oakland Beach, RI

The “Rosie by the Sea” cottage is a home away from home. The owners have spared no details in providing all of the comforts of home. We were steps away from the beachside walking path to the park and Iggy’s, a RI institution. We will certainly return. California-RI visitors.

Perfection

We were in for 8 days for our daughter’s graduation. The cottage is perfect. Every detail has been carefully chosen to make your stay memorable. You can see the house is a labor of love. The location is perfect and was close enough to providence for us. Though it was too cold for beaching, it is a lovely beach and they had any supplies. The outdoor shower is an added bonus. I can’t think of a single thing I would change or add. Thank you for sharing, we loved it!

Steps to the beach

The house was clean and well kept with cute decorations everywhere. We were so close to the beach and there was a a nice view from the rocking chairs on the porch. A few restaurants were only 1 block away and could be accessed walking along the beach, which was really convenient. I appreciated all the colors incorporated into the house. It really brightened the stay.

Week of total relaxation

This was the best family vacation we've had during the past 5 years! The house is fully stocked with every amenity you could possibly need, and Linda provided a pack-n-play and high chair seat for our 2-year old. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen well-equipped. The outside space was very lush with flowers and grass, and I took almost all of my showers in the outside shower (what a treat!). The house is less than a minute's walk to the path that leads to the beach; the beach itself was very clean with calm waves (good for small children) and some lifeguard presence. Linda was very responsive to all of our questions and it was a pleasure interacting with her. We definitely plan to return again next year!

Can't wait to go back

Wow. Just wow. This is a totally renovated, immaculate beach cottage that the owners have done a beautiful job of re-imagining- and stocking. I challenge you to find something you need that is not stored somewhere in this rental. The house is very comfortable (& clean), loved the central AC as it was quite humid during our stay. The guest shed in the backyard has everything you could possibly need for the beach- and the yard (hammocks!!). The porch is sooo relaxing- sitting and rocking in the evening with a drink- and you can even pipe your music out there from the stereo. Seriously, they have thought of EVERYTHING. And the location is fantastic- both the beach and Iggy's (a RI institution) are a stone's throw away. My husband and I had a fantastic, relaxing week together, and we will definitely return to Rosie by the Bay. As I said- Can't wait to go back. Thank you, Linda & Ken

Million Dollar Location and a charming cottage!

We stayed a month in this adorable cottage, and we had a fabulous time! It was even better than it looked and sounded online. It was charmingly decorated, and although it is small, it had an incredibly well-stocked kitchen, as well as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, sheets, towels, everything necessary for doing laundry, cleaning supplies, individual soaps, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, bug spray, a hair dryer, and almost any toilet article you can imagine. Linda also supplied plenty of beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, umbrellas, even bicycles! All you need is your toothbrush! But the real selling point of the cottage, in addition to its charm (it is decorated in soothing tones of light blues the color of sky and water, and it has a beach theme), is its location. It is not an upscale neighborhood, but the cottage is literally a one minute walk from Oakland Beach – a small bay beach with two lifeguards that also has also a small playground nearby. From the front porch of the cottage, you can look out over Greenwich Bay, watch the sailboats go by, and see truly spectacular sunsets that will surprise and delight you every night. Iggy's Doughboy and Chowder House restaurant is also one minute away. It is known for its fried clams, lobster rolls, ice cream and a traditional RI dessert called a Doughboy. On Tuesday nights in August, there was an antique car show with a DJ and dancing at Oakland Beach, which was a lot of fun, yet the cottage was always very peaceful and quiet, and you could hear the many crickets chirping in the evenings. There are many stores, farm stands and restaurants nearby, and Linda is more than happy to tell you which ones are the best. The cottage is very comfortable and EXTREMELY clean! (And I am fussy!) It has central AC, a large bathroom that separates the two bedrooms so there is some privacy, and an outdoor shower. There was also a TV with Roku and Netflix, and a large table that could seat six. (There was outdoor seating for more.) Linda and Ken were fabulous hosts. When there was an issue with the garbage disposal, they were immediately on it, and solved the problem right away. They truly couldn't have been nicer, more thoughtful or more responsive!

Super clean, fantastic amenities, great location. One of the best places we have stayed. Beautifully decorated, Linda is very friendly and accommodating. We had a relaxing week and can’t wait to go back. Iggy's restaurant is literally a 5 minute walk. The beach directly across the street was quiet and gave us amazing views of the sunset. We loved it. A true delight

We had an absolutely fantastic week at Rosie by the Bay. Oakland Beach is a stone’s throw away, it was very quiet. There are a couple of restaurants right there, a playground and the beautiful bay scenery including amazing sunsets! The neighborhood is quiet and the house did not disappoint! Linda and Ken set the bar very high for any future rentals. They went out of their way to even blow up an air mattress for our 4yr old. The house is stocked with everything you could need, it was very very clean and had the fluffiest white towels I’ve ever touched. Newport, Block Island Ferry and the Roger Williams Zoo are all close by for exploring. We hope to return next summer to this wonderful hidden gem!

Comfortable, well-appointed cottage with water views and access

I have stayed in many properties through VRBO, and this was by far the most welcoming and well-appointed rental I have experienced. The cottage itself was spotless with every convenience you could imagine. Toiletries, a stocked pantry, plenty of thick bath towels, even bug spray and sunscreen. There is plenty of gear for the beach, including chairs, coolers, an umbrella and nice beach towels. The whole house is well decorated and comfortable: beds and pillows are comfortable, and the shower has excellent water pressure. I had good communication with the owners before, during, and after the rental period. As for the location, this is a good place from which to explore Rhode Island and Massachusetts. If you want to go to an ocean beach, Rhode Island state beaches are less than one hour away. East Beach in Charleston is the prettiest and biggest with room to spread out. Get there by 8:30 if you want to get a parking spot, maybe even earlier on a weekend. You can get to Newport in under an hour (walk the 3.5-mile Cliff Walk, then take the trolley back up Bellevue Avenue and have a drink at the Vanderbilt Hotel rooftop bar). Other reasonably close day trips include Block Island (one-hour drive then one-hour ferry ride) and Cape Cod. Providence is only 15 minutes away and has good restaurants and historical attractions. If you prefer relaxing to exploring, the cottage is just steps away from a small beach on Narragansett Bay. If you stay to the right side of the beach, close to the cottage, it’s more secluded and quiet. The beach is particularly nice and quiet in the morning. Or, you can just sit on the front porch and watch the sailboats go by on the Bay. The house has everything you need to make a meal, but if you feel like going out for dinner, some good places nearby in Warwick include DiVine, Sophia’s Tuscan Kitchen (BYOB) and Grainsley’s (good cocktails, beer, pizza and sandwiches). Vanda is a nice Italian restaurant that is a little pricier, and Apponaug Brewery has good beer and excellent food (fried pickles and banh mi fries!) with a beautiful patio overlooking a rushing river. I grew up in Warwick and come back often to visit family. Rosie’s will be our first choice for our next visit!

Best VRBO stay

The owners of this property really know how to spoil guest. They had everything you need for an awesome vacation on hand. From cruiser bicycles and outdoor activities to indoor amenities that we have never seen from any other VRBO locations we have used. Literally a well thought out vacation rental. Owners were extremely accommodating and most pleasant. Location is amazing. Right at the center of all that Oakland Beach had to offer. We are sold on this place for our future returns to the Ocean State.

Another fabulous and relaxing stay!

We just returned from another phenomenal stay at Rosie By the Bay. It has become our favorite home away from home to travel to. First off, Linda is an exceptional VRBO host that is so easy to work with. Her communication is excellent and she truly makes sure you are set for your trip. Next, the house...OH the house. It is an adorable decorated in beach theme style home that has everything you need. From the exceptionally comfortable beds (with Casper mattresses) to the robes we LOVE using while we're there...to all the supplies you need while you are there (which means no packing toiletries!!)...she has thought of everything. The kitchen has so many items available for you to use, and upon arrival you find a sweet surprise on the kitchen table for you. =) There is a stereo system you can use that also plays outside if you'd like. In the shed out back there is everything you could need for a fabulous day (or several) at the beach. Her umbrella is excellent, and she has coolers, chairs etc ready to go. She also has a fabulous stack of beach towels in the house ready for use. Washing machine/dryer and dishwasher are all top of the line and do a great job. Shower is awesome.... There is SO much to do in the area...We suggest Nick and Joans cafe for a great pancake breakfast, and take time to go through all the travel brochures she's got ready for you to find some of the best spots in RI to visit. Don't forget to get your DELS Lemonade at the Iggy's right around the corner from the house. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch in the awesome rocking chairs. This is just one to not pass up.

A very private, quiet gem a stone's throw from the bay and good food!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties from Barcelona to Cape Cod and I will tell anyone looking at this property that it is just outstanding. Sparkling clean and fresh, new laundry and kitchen appliances, very comfortable beds, and a kitchen (and bath) equipped with anything you could possibly need or dream up! The owners were just lovely to deal with - from the moment we arrived and found fresh picked wildflowers with a bottle of wine (and a six-pack!) to welcome us - to when I had to call because I thought I had killed the ice-maker (no harm done!). The proximity to Iggys and Top of the Bay restaurants was surprising - we never used our car - and the service and food was just outstanding. In this time of COVID, Rosie on the Bay provided us with an opportunity to get away safely, to lounge on a beach where we rarely saw another person, to sit on a private porch in nature, and to feel completely comfortable in our surroundings. Bravo Ken and Linda...we'll be back!

We were very happy with our stay at Rosies on the Bay. The house had everything you need . Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable sleeping, air conditioning and a beautiful front porch for reading/ relaxing and back yard for playing, lying in a hammock or grilling. We can't wait to return.The bay is so close and it was the perfect house for a family vacation. Thank you Linda and Ken.

Ken and I have found our little piece of heaven and want to share it with you! It is 700 sq feet of cuteness framed in beach roses and native plantings. We have open space, beautiful views and sunsets, quietness yet so much of what Warwick, RI offers. Ken is actually from Warwick and I have ties to the area on my maternal grandmother's side. We love RI.

"Rosie by the Bay" is 700 sq feet of cuteness. Decorated in cottage/beach style it gives you a tranquil sense of being on the beach. We have open space, beautiful views of Greenwich Bay and stunning sunsets, quietness yet so much of what Warwick, RI offers--Italian bakeries, fish and chips, clam cakes, pizza, casinos, fishing/sailing/boating, Newport Jazz festival and the list goes on! RI wieners with fries and coffee milk is a must in local eating! Explore the coast of RI by visiting Narragansett Beaches, Block Island and the port of Galilee. Try the evening lighthouse tour or experience Beaver Point State Park in Jamestown. Lots to do and try in RI.

We have renovated the home and will continue to do so to make your experience the best in New England beach living. Enjoy it in the rocking chairs on the front porch or in the backyard with a grill and a NH granite table with seating for 10. We have a selection of bicycles for all ages as well as games and beach accessories to make your stay easy and care-free.
