We had a wonderful stay. The deck is ideal for spending time when we weren't on the beach. The house is really perfect for a beach vacation. We will definitely book here again when we plan our next trip to the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach house! It was clean, it was spacious, it was cheerful and it was right on the beach! Terry was a delight to communicate with and she provided such a comfortable space for us all to unwind in and relax. Wishing our week could have lasted longer.

Beautiful oceanfront location! Very spacious home with an amazingly well equipped kitchen, everything you could need just like at home. Terry was very responsive prior to our trip, during our trip and at checkout. We will definitely return!

Beautiful Property

Beautiful oceanfront property with private beach. Very clean and comfortable. T. Cargill, property manager, was very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Great vacation and loved the house overlooking the ocean!

The house was very well equipped, loved the bedrooms and # of bathrooms. The view was fabulous, and the owner was very nice. Highly recommend.

Great representation of Outer Banks - Lovely beach home in Kitty Hawk, nicely decorated with Great deck to watch the sunrise every morning. Plenty of information about local restaurants and attractions supplied by the owner. Great Stay for our first visit to the Outer Banks.

Best House Ever

We came off-season and the weather wasn’t the best but the house was cozy and comfortable. Everything was beautiful and there was everything we could possibly need. Great stay!

Great stay in Kitty Hawk

We had a great time staying here. Kitchen is well equipped and there was plenty of space. Very quick walk over a dune to get to the beach and great views from the upper deck. The younger kids had a great time playing on the lower level under the deck too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Amazing location and charming home

This house was absolutely perfect! The location had easy access to restaurants and stores. It was like having a private beach because of the distance to other properties! The deck was the perfect place to have coffee in the morning or relax in the evening. The home was exactly as advertised - the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home. We enjoyed everything about this place and will definitely book again.The host was fantastic, easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this property for couples or families!

The Perfect Beach Location

This was the perfect place for our beach vacation. The large front room overlooks the ocean, pictures don't do it justice. The extra large deck was where we spent our evenings sipping wine and watching the waves. The home was clean and well stocked, the property manager was accessible and attentive. We'd definitely stay here again!

Ocean front is the way to go!

The home was very clean and it was so nice being Ocean front and not having to drag all the necessities for a day at the beach across roadways. We enjoyed Beautiful views from inside the home as well as the top deck!

Amazing!

This is our families 2nd year staying at the Mermaid house! The views are breathless! The house is beautiful and very clean and the owners are so nice and always make sure we are satisfied. Cant wait to be there next year!

Great

You can't beat staying right on the beach. Large deck highlight of the property. Also nice to find a house with a king size bed. Private beach access, an abundance of chairs (beach and deck), and plenty of seating for outside or indoor dining. Awesome spot.

Best Beach House Ever!

This house is as close as you will get to the surf without being in a boat! Great accommodations located in the heart of Kitty Hawk - close to some really great locally owned restaurants! Other great points: terrific deck, comfortable furniture and beds, and plenty of kitchen space! Property owners are awesome and the house was spotless! We love, love, love this place and will definitely rebook for next summer!

Our second stay

This was our second stay at this property and it was a great place for our family vacation including kids, grandparents, and a dog. We had a minor maintenance issue which the owner handled immediately. Very pleased with the experience!
