Secluded Island Cottage with Distant Ocean View

Our rustic and casual cottage sits on three acres with ocean views from our large deck. It's our family home with a large yard perfect for wiffle ball, badminton or croquet. Located one mile from town and walking distance to the Mohegan Bluffs, Southeast Lighthouse and Black Rock Beach. Nearby trails are a great way to explore the hidden beauties of the island. This is a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of town, where you can enjoy coffee or cocktails on the deck watching the boats go by or the birds migrate, all while not being too far from all that Block Island has to offer.

Your cozy Block Island getaway awaits you at this lovely cottage. With 3 bedrooms including 2 twin beds, 1 queen bed and a daybed, this peaceful retreat is perfect for a relaxing stay. The house includes WiFi, TV with an Amazon fire stick to access your streaming subscriptions, bluetooth speaker, a washer/dryer, Weber charcoal grill, hammock, puzzles/games. There is one full bath and the outdoor shower is a beautiful and tranquil spot to rinse off after the beach! The house features an open living/dining/kitchen area, but if you are anything like our family - you will want to be dining out on the deck and enjoying the open sky and changing colors of the sunset. The deck includes a large table with umbrella, a wrap around bench and Adirondack chairs.

We are dog lovers and happy to offer dog friendly accommodations for your furry friends. We only ask that you be mindful of neighbors while visiting and keep your dog within the lines of the property. For your convenience there is a dog lead available for the yard and poop bags for picking up. Dogs are welcomed on island beaches and trails - it is a doggy paradise!

Block Island is a special place, throughly enjoyed our stay and the local holiday Stroll. House as described, kitchen was well equipped and great to have games and puzzles.

Amanda is an amazing host. We had a small issue when we first arrived at the property, but she responded immediately and we got it straightened out. The home is well equipped and was perfect for our weekend stay.

Perfect little spot

Wonderful stay. The home was clean and convenient. In a private spot with a beautiful view. All the conveniences of home were available. Plenty of pots, pans, utensils, appliances and fans. My family (husband and 2 daughters - 17 & 19) were so comfortable and would have stayed all summer if we had the choice! Thank you for a smooth process and great communication. Hope to stay again!!

This house offered everything we wanted. Never saw a neighbor. No noise except the birds singing It is secluded as advertised and that’s exactly what we wanted. Loved everything about it.Will stay again.

Quiet March week in Block Island

Quiet, cold, friendly, easy. Had never been to BI before, had a few days to drive up. Not much open this time of year, but the views were great and the house was exactly what we were looking for. The host was very responsive to any questions— not that we had many, the directions were very clear.

I had a wonderful time at this rental. It was secluded, clean, and had an impressive amount of kitchen equipment. The host was also very responsive. The view of the water was amazing! I would definitely stay there again:)

Sweet + Cozy Cottage

My friends and I visit Block every fall for a quiet surf escape. When our normal spot was booked - we found this little gem that quickly became our new fave spot. Enough room for the four of us to sleep comfortably, an amazing location, deck and atmosphere. On top of that, Amanda was extremely friendly and accommodating when we needed to adjust our plans for possible ferry closures. We look forward to visiting here again, thank you!!

We are a family of three that has grown in recent years to include spouses and children/grandchildren. Martha‘s parents bought the cottage when it was newly built in 1970 after visiting the island for many years to enjoy birdwatching. Since that time the cottage has undergone several minor renovations. Our family enjoys coming to the island in all seasons to enjoy its natural beauty. We are beach goers, surfers, birdwatchers, art lovers and much more.

Our modest cottage is cozy and quaint. We think it reflects the style and nature of our family and our love for the island. While the amenities are not modern or extravagant, we think the property offers everything you might need to enjoy an island getaway.
