Nice location. Kitchen/living room worked. AC/heat good...separate upstairs & downstairs units good(one could be on heat while the other was on cool). Lots of mostly level lawn to play on. Dock depth about 5 feet, adequate tie up for a couple of boats. No lift. Small pool but pumps were noisy.

The property was as listed in description. We enjoyed having use of the pool and lake even though the water temp of both were quite warm due to the excessive heat recently. It was nice having an easy walk from house to dock as well as the use of provided kayaks. I would suggest if you plan to swim in the lake to wear old suits/clothing. The water has a lot of residue which caused staining of some of our lighter colored suits and our granddaughters life jacket. The location was great for our grandchildren to swim in the water without a lot of boat traffic to worry about. Very convenient location if you plan to rent a boat or jet ski. Poplar Creek Rentals is right across the lake along with Shady Shack which is a nice place to eat and they often have entertainment.

Summer Breeze July 4th Getaway

I’ve always admired this property from the lake and when it was available for our 4th of July vacation, I grabbed it! Unfortunately, arriving at the property there was a 1/4 inch of mud, dirt, and slime on the front walkway. I was so disappointed that this was my first impression. Then the front entry code didn’t work. I called the number in the welcome email and a backup code was provided. The property is beautiful but is in need of a deep clean. Kitchen drawers were full of crumbs and the area under the island was yucky. (Les, the property manager, showed up randomly on Tuesday to “check the air filters,” which I thought was odd.)My grandchildren were joining me so I went out to inspect the pool. I assume the same storm that had wreaked havoc on the front walkway did the same to the pool. The filter was full of leaves and debris and the bottom of the pool was covered with leaves and dirt. The week started with the management company being very responsive. Someone came to clean the sidewalk on Sunday and the pool on Tuesday. After several texts and calls, our trash was collected. Trash was in the outside can when I arrived on Saturday. I assumed someone would be by to pick it up. No one came until I called and texted several times. The pool area is in need of weeding. My concerns may sound frivolous but when families spend a large percentage of their discretionary income, they have a right to an awesome experience. In this case, it was just okay.

The house is beautiful with water views from nearly every room in the house. There's a desk in the living room if anyone needs to work while on vacation and fast internet for streaming/zoom meetings. We were a little worried with it being on the road, but had no issues with noise or traffic and I think it helped decrease boat traffic. There are two kayaks and my 10 year old newbie had no problems paddling over for ice cream at Shady Shack. Multiple great restaurants less than 20 minutes away and a small market two minutes away. The floats pictured were not there and there weren't many games as stated (I mention that because I specifically look for that in the description/reviews so I know what I need to pack and there was a discrepancy between description and reality...but I didn't call and ask, so I'm not sure if they would have brought some over if I had). Toilet in master wasn't working, but they had someone there same night as we checked in. Wonderful vacation. Couldn't have been more relaxing. Will definitely book again!
