Sophia’s Garden Chalet is one which was the newly renovated house with a garden. It has 3+1 bedrooms, 5 beds+1 crib, 2 baths, New HAVC System/E-System/kitchen/2-3 Private Parking Lots, located in suburb-Bryn Mawr. It's like a home when you travel to Philly seeking a peaceful yet lively stay. Capacity is up 8. It is elegantly designed and convenient for individuals/families. You will find a variety of restaurants, stores, colleges, and SEPTA stations within the walking zone. The enclosed backyard with new deck and BBQ/.....

★The ground floor hosts a living/dining room and a full kitchen. The dining table can sit comfortably 8. The living room has a new SONY 60-inch HD Smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen has a marble countertop with a wine bar, in addition to a full-sized fridge, new stove, new dishwasher, coffee/ tea pots, and microwave. One full bath room.

★The second floor has three bedrooms with three queen-sized beds and full bathrooms which are newly remodeled.

★The third-floor attic is a unique gallery with original paintings done by the owner. It is a very quiet and cozy room. The attic is an art studio which also serves as a den. The owner provides you with supplies to try your hand at painting. There are also two sofa beds and a full-size crib. just in case for additional sleeping needs. A New Smart TV with free Netflix and Prime Video. You can work here/enjoy tea here/paint by yourself here/family gathering here/relax here.

★Ground floor:
Laundry is located in the newly finished basement with one washing machine and two dryers. A special area for you to do simple exercises in the house

★Backyard: new wooden deck and bench and flowers.

★Parking: 2-3 private car parking lots on the driveway.

This lovely property was perfectly clean and beautifully appointed. The rooms seemed to go on forever! It is also located in a highly interesting and convenient part of town. The porch and gardens were delightful.

Great Family Gathering

Our stay was wonderful! A charming home located in a nice neighborhood with parks nearby. Everything in the home functioned well and we were very comfortable. The home exceeded our expectations and created a wonderful family weekend!

The property was very centrally located to a number of walkable shops, restaurants, and gym. We were staying for Villanova family weekend and it was 5 minutes from campus. The host was very accommodating for an early check-in. The one area that didn’t feel appropriately represented was the sleeping space in the finished 3rd floor. It was two tiny futons that were not at all usable for teenagers as their feet were hanging off the end. It’s more appropriately represented as sleeping for 6 vs 8, unless you have small children.

Great Place to Stay

My family and I made our first trip ever to Pennsylvania for the Bohring-Opitz Syndrome Family Meet-Up (a very rare syndrome my younger son has). We did not want to stay in the hotel where they were hosting because we prefer to have a place all to ourselves. I found “Sophia’s Garden Chalet” that was 10 minutes from the event. We absolutely loved our stay here! It was super clean, very well decorated, and actually very spacious for a duplex (My older son kept wanting to play hide-n-seek). We’re from Texas, so I was excited about the basement. Lol!Also, the crib provided in the attic/loft space was great for our BOS son to have a place to sleep.My only critique is I wished the upstairs shower had a little more power to it. The street was very quaint and I loved the church across the street. There were plenty of places to shop and restaurants right around the corner. We will definitely stay here again for the next BOS Family Meet-Ups we come to. I really cannot wait to visit Bryn Mawr again! Thank you for providing us a great place to stay.

Bryn Mawr is a unique historical town with excellent bars, restaurants, and stores, but it is also very close to many gorgeous outdoor places to walk and hike, the center of the city, and many universities.

I love Art ( being an amateur artist), gardening (flowers and vegetables), cooking (Asian fusion), traveling ( decent collections from different places of the world), and tea culture (being a licensed tea expert. I believe people with different cultural backgrounds can get closer through an understanding of art, food, and tea. I hope people who stay at ”Sophia’s Garden Chalet” feel “home away from home.”
