Back Cove - Large Sunny 2 Bedroom Condo

Bright, clean, first floor 2 bedroom condo in upscale and safe Back Cove neighborhood, one block from Baxter Boulevard and Back Bay. Although very clean, it is an older building, and it is in a great location, only minutes from the Old Port. Back Bay views. Large driveway offers plenty off street parking. Large yard, patio, fire pit. Clothes Washer and Dryer available in unit. Walking distance to the Back Cove Trail for walking and biking and upscale Tipo Restaurant and Bar.

Quiet neighborhood in great location with Back Bay views. Clean, comfortable furniture. Beds are new and comfortable King size mattresses. Historic Cemetary next door for dog walking. Pet friendly. Close to everything. Roku, WIFI, TV. Firewood available for the outside fire pit for an extra fee.

Full access to first floor unit, yard, patio, fire pit, and half the large driveway.

Text me anytime with questions but in general you wont see me unless there is an issue. Unless I am away on a trip I am not far away as I am on Munjoy Hill in Portland most of the time.

Mostly single family homes in this upscale neighborhood - very safe. Walking distance to Back Bay.

An Uber ride to from the airport is less than $10 and a ride to the old Port is less than $10 as well.
No smoking or vaping inside or on grounds. No pets allowed on furniture. Quiet hours are from 9pm-7am.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable apartment in excellent location with offstreet parking. Kitchen was well equipped for making meals and hosting 4 people for dinner. Excellent communication and response times from owner.

The accommodations were perfect for my stay. The kitchen had everything I needed for morning coffee. It was in close proximity and walkable to my family. I felt safe walking in the area.Back cove is beautiful this time of year. Thank you! I'll be back!

Overall sense of the property:* Location: great - quiet, but a quick drive to family in Portland and places in the city that we wanted to visit (Children's museum, etc)* Aesthetic: old-Maine homestead (spacious family spaces, lower ceilings, homey furnishings)What didn't work well for us: strong scents and allergens/triggers in the unit, problems with electrical safety, tub slippery and doesn't drain (wasn't safe for the older family member staying with us, and so who had to go elsewhere to shower each day)* Unit smelled of stale cigarette smoke (faint-to-moderate, but every single person who came inside mentioned it immediately, unprompted, followed by "I'm not sure how you can stay here, isn't that a huge breathing issue for you and for [Mom's name]?")* Unit smelled _strongly_ of scented laundry detergent and laundry "scent enhancer". We weren't able to open (nevermind use) the laundry machines.* Some sheets and towels strongly scented, extras in large bedroom closet were stored bunched up in piles instead of looking clean and had a range of random scents.* Repeated frequent dripping/pinging noise on the AC in the smaller bedroom. Kept our toddler and one parent awake on several nights.Things that didn't affect us directly (from what we could tell) but that might impact others:* Looked like mold in the AC in the smaller bedroom and on the window behind the bed.* Window blind in smaller bedroom doesn't fully close, meaning next door can watch you get dressed.

On the plus side property was very large and in a great location. We had a fire pit with wood. On the minus side was the property itself. The bathroom was not clean at all. Mold around tub. Amenities were very basic. Hodgepodge of dishes, towels, bedding. Bed was comfortable. Dead plants in living room. Looks like it was furnished a la goodwill.

It’s a very old house built in 1880’s with lots of add ons. With that in mind we did enjoy the eccentricities of it. The kitchen was nice and clean. It had everything we needed. Bathroom was okay. Could use a mattress cover. The bed was comfortable, but I was disappointed at the stains when I took them off to wash. There was some difficulty with getting my check-in information, but was able to get it and get in easily. The area was very peaceful, close to everything and family friendly. We enjoyed our stay and this house met our needs.

The kitchen and bathroom were clean and very nice. The rest not so much, although the bed we used, the larger bedroom, was very comfortable. Privacy there was minimal. We did not use the other bed. The view was not what I expected in that the bay was barely visible.
