Great place to stay for a few days while visiting family. Host is very responsive, property was well-equipped with essentials. Enjoyed my stay, will book this property again!

Living room was not swept, place wasn’t ready on time and no conversation from host. Kitchen appliances weren’t really clean either. Very quiet neighborhood though.

Prior to check-in, you had requested early access, and I proactively offered you a larger unit several hours ahead of your arrival time, as the previous guest had not yet vacated the original property. I did my best to accommodate you as quickly as possible under the circumstances. Throughout your stay, you reached out with several requests, all of which I responded to promptly and worked to fulfill. You also mentioned that the hot water was not working; however, this was checked and confirmed to be fully operational.

The floors were not clean at all. Table in kitchen not wiped at all. Had to contact host to get access to property. Not enough towels,washclothes or handtowels.

Thank you for your feedback. We take cleanliness very seriously, and the home was thoroughly cleaned and prepared prior to your arrival. We were also happy to accommodate an early check-in at no charge, which was significantly ahead of our standard check-in time. Because of how early the request was, the access code was not yet active at that moment, but we responded promptly to ensure you were able to enter the property. Regarding towels, we provide a standard set based on the number of guests, and we’re always happy to bring more if needed when notified during the stay. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to ensure every guest has a smooth and comfortable experience.

First off, Christa was extremely kind and responed to every request promptly. That was greatly appreciated. However the property itself was filthy from the minute we walked in the door. I'm not sure she is aware of what an awful job her cleaning crew is doing. Floor was extremely sticky & appeared not to have been washed in months. Glass on French doors was layered with grime and grease. Dust and dirt under all the furniture was appalling. The stains on the couch and kitchen chairs were just gross. The list goes on. I attempted to clean it up a bit myself but cleaning supplies were not available. In all fairness to her, we did not express this to her during our stay. With our situation it would've been difficult to resend in the cleaners while we were there. However, no guest should've walked into what we did and been forced to accommodate a cleaner coming in during the visit. Another poster showed photos of the mess they encountered, which should have been a red flag. Again, she was a very kind host who showed compassion for our reason for this trip to The Colony. I hesitated to write this, but feel it's only fair to others looking for a decent place to stay.

VERY quiet neighborhood, even though it is population dense! That AC rocked the cold air...it was set at 72 and I never was tempted to touch it!. All the appliances worked well. The host responded lightening fast to any questions I had. Definitely staying there next time we are in the area.

Host was excellent at responding quickly. House was very comfortable and decorated beautifully. It could have had a refresh cleaning before we got there. Very dusty. Coffee table had half inch of dust on it. I went around and dusted everything. We assumed it hadn’t been rented out in awhile. It suited our purpose of visiting family for Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately the rental unit was not as described. We arrived and the house was very, very dirty. We attempted to clean it ourselves and left it better than we found it, but ultimately decided to leave and did not stay in the house overnight at all…for what was supposed to be a one week stay. We opted for a hotel. We reached out to Vrbo for help to get any kind of refund; however, the host refused to give a refund and Vrbo said they couldn’t make hosts give refunds regardless of the state of the rental unit.

The unit was thoroughly cleaned and inspected with timestamp pictures prior to the guest’s arrival. When concerns were raised, I immediately offered to send a cleaner to address any issues, but that offer was declined. I also paid out of pocket to have requested items delivered promptly in an effort to accommodate the guest. Unfortunately, despite reasonable and timely efforts to resolve the situation, some guests cannot be fully satisfied. All actions taken were consistent with my responsibilities and obligations under Vrbo policy, and I acted in good faith to address concerns as they arose.
