Relaxing stay! Just what was needed

Had a fun week at this property. First time not staying on beach but wanted to try a place with a private pool. We really enjoyed the pool daily, made stay quite relaxing and stress free. Owner was in contact whenever needed and was great to work with.

This place was perfect! Joni was so nice and very helpful! The pool was the best part of the house. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to siesta key!

Beautiful house and area

The house is beautiful. The pool is my favorite thing, but the house was large and open, and very clean. The location was great - so close to the beach and good restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. It is also close to a Publix, which was real handy.

Owner very hands on and full of input of things to do around the area.

A little noisy with highway traffic but nice. Very well equipped with a pool, bikes, beach equipment, outdoor grill, and wifi. Close to the bike lanes that will take you anywhere on the key.

Yes, the Island is in HIGH SEASON and some people want to speed, Traffic Patrol is monitoring areas where less traffic is to reduce speeding, 25-35 is the island limit, the other areas are a 'parking lot'. Bruce and Melanie we enjoyed having you. You are a fun couple! Glad you and your friends enjoyed all the places you visited... great memories made......

Siesta Key Paradise

We had a great time on our visit at this residence in Siesta Key. It's close to everything and the house definitely met our expectations. The pool is awesome and it was nice for me and the kids to be able to jump in 24/7 if we wanted to. Loved our stay and hope to be back soon!❤❤❤

Relaxing Vacation

Enjoyed the pool area, clean and private. It was a real advantage being able to park in the garage every day, this saved time in loading and unloading and was much more convenient in general than most rentals. Communication with the landlord was smooth when some small issues cropped up.

Everything needed

Our check in process was so easy. The owner was fantastic and met us at the house and gave us a quick overview. They were able to be reached at any time and responded to questions very quickly Really appreciated all the videos and suggestions of places we might enjoy. The house was right near the road to go to the beach and downtown. We enjoyed our time away.

We had an amazing honeymoon here!

We searched high and low for the perfect rental to spend our honeymoon at and Joni's house did not disappointment. Every night was spent sitting next to the pool relaxing. The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. The beach, shopping, downtown Sarasota, etc. Joni was always sweet, accommodating and responsive. The house was clean and had everything we needed!

Thank you for the kind words. The HVAC is new, 17 seer and maintained. The weather this April had (20+ plus degree changes mid- 80s- low 60s. / within 24hrs, an air conditioner won't go on when temps are in the 60's) Temps @ 73-75-76, is extremely cool in the house. Sorry for your experience. Our previous guests, experienced same April weather for their stay. Not sure why you had this experience. I found it very cool the morning I checked you out. The most beautiful beaches I've seen!

Our visit was amazing! Joan was fabulous! We did so many of the things she sent us. The beach was beautiful. I definitely suggest kayaking the mangrove tunnels and the surrounding area to see the dolphins and manatees. The Marie Selby botanical gardens were beautiful as well. Get an early lunch, enjoy the pool, and go out and do some more while everyone else is eating. Don't forget to take a midnight swim as well. We had a great little get away here and will be back.

quiet home-like spot

The property is kept up well by the owner, but due to some unexpected maintenance needs that were being addressed while we were there, we did not have the usually expected degree of privacy. The owner was apologetic and endeavored to minimize the inconvenience. For our convenience, on a future trip we would look for a property closer to the beach.

Let me know and I will give you my friends unit on the beach, (seriously), it will not be a house but a condo and smaller with no private pool but you'll be close to the water so you can walk a ways.......the drawbacks are that the traffic is a parking lot and it takes forever to get on and off the island...and the price will triple ... but worth it... Another friend of mine has a cottage around the corner of me that you can stay at and walk over to the beach. also it will be double or so the price, seriously, let me know and thank you for the book....hope you enjoyed the video of Dr. Bill Winston. Fortunately, it was located in the garage and not the house. With so many air conditioners going down and 11.5 weeks of trying to get a small condensation leak corrected, I prefer to get things immediately repaired, they only get worse. THIS WEEK IT FINALLY HAPPENED! SO HAPPY. AND, ....YOU KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM.

Great last minute getaway

This was not our first stay in Siesta Key but it was our first time staying somewhere that wasnt directly on the beach, and we booked later than we normally would have. The price was great, the check in process was very smooth and the host even met us at the house despite being delayed on our flight to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and the pool was wonderful, and especially given how warm its been and that we were there during an unfortunate no swim advisory at the beach. The hosts were very responsive and attentive to all our needs, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time.

Nice Place to stay

I would have given a 5 star rating if we would have had more control of the thermostat. 74 degrees was the coldest is would go and within and hour or so would go back up to 78 degrees. I was also a little put off about the no shoes policy due only one room in the house had carpet and it was not necessarily "nice" carpet. Overall though it was an nice place we enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Thanks so much, we were glad to have you. Glad you enjoyed the house. And I get it!!!... but during the day when it is high noon, the temp is 78 and it goes down as the day goes on, it's the only way we can prevent people from leaving the air blasting all day at low temperatures while not home. You have control, TURN the dial when you're home. At night it gets cold. The blue carpet in the guest room is a soft-med, tight-weave blue it's supposed to be that color. We have white tile and everyone likes it clean and bacteria-free as much as possible. Otherwise, people bring in sand and dirt. We have learned what to do to keep our house clean and fresh. Glad you appreciated it too. We are booked 52 weeks of the year and we do not have time to be down between guests It's not fair. Thanks, Michelle and Charlie... Great location in Siesta Key

Home was only a few minutes from Siesta Key Beach so no traffic issues going from/to the beach. Home has retro decor and appliances but everything was in working order. Outside grill was new. Missed that the pool wasn’t heated but we still used it at least 3 times over two weeks in February (pool temp low 70’s). Would’ve preferred to see the rental agreement online when reviewing the property vs at check in time which made us a bit nervous over some language, but everything worked out OK, and full deposit returned.

Glad you enjoyed your stay, always the goal, vacation fly’s. All we ask travelers is respect the property, return it without damage, we've had great travelers over the years. We stay booked 95% of the year ....every traveler deserves the same clean experience. ---Until 2021, didn’t need a heater, guests didn’t want to pay for it or cover it, nightly. ---Apparently, our weather is changing to warmer, again!…. Location is great

The location is perfect. Only a mile from the beach. The house was clean and comfortable enough with everything you need. A couple of downfalls that brought down my rating was the AC thermostat was locked and controlled. We were definitely a little warm at times. The previous renters broke glass by the pool and there were little bits of glass everywhere (hard to notice and clean up because the patio surface is pebbled). At check out, the owner showed up early to start outdoor work. She alerted me but it felt a little intrusive since we had about an hour left until check out. Overall, owner was very nice and helpful with activities, restaurants and making us feel at home. Again, overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Melany, We loved having your family. I was surprised to see you had invited other guest without our consent. *I was 30 min. early due to forecast heavy rain. As promised, you were using blankets at night, as temperatures dictated, with our high eff. 17 seer air wave/cool-dry dehumidifier, ac. Glad you decided to use the flip flops we provide for the lanai use. Being less than a mile from the beach, a route without traffic w/ beautiful bike lanes and jogging /walking paths, always appreciated by guests..., (who wants to sit in traffic?) ....We look forward to seeing you and your family again… glad you had a wonderful time. Please remember, all guest must be accounted for on reservations, prior to arrival, an industry standard and liability. *ac is not locked, it's free-range. *we are avail. 24/7 for our guest convenience. .....Michael and Joni

Love Siesta Key, Sarasota

The house was adorable and had plenty of space for my husband, me, and our two children. It was great that the owner provided the basics like linen, soap, trash bags, etc. The pool area is beautiful but unfortunately was too cold to use (the first week of April). I had a work conference to attend in Sarasota and the location was convenient. The beaches were a quick drive away, as well. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been the ability to adjust the AC ourselves. It seemed to be remotely locked and at times would be 78 in the house, though was cooler in the evenings. Also, resigning a contract for the rental on arrival was no issue, but I was a little surprised individual photos of all of us were taken including our 1 and 3 year olds. Overall we were pleased with our stay and will come back every spring as we have to the Sarasota, Siesta Key area!

Thought about you all today.... we planted the new yellow ixora in the front... it has really warmed up this week, unlike the perfect breezy- sunny weather we had when you were here. Your visit was waaay too short. But the weather is changing back to sunny and breezy like when you were here. in several days... very cool at night and low 70's day, we appreciate those temps.... The girls are adorable.... such a fabulous family you are....Glad I got your pictures! We do delete them when guest leave. But I think I mention that somewhere the on the site, that we check guest in as does a hotel. It's mainly for safety reasons, We have an airwave thermostat which is nice for fluctuating temps, but you can adjust it at the wall too, 76 is the low. ...And the new air conditioner fits fabulously in the garage, after some rearranging....... So happy you all had a fabulous stay... though April this year did not offer the heat needed for the beach..., Maybe next year will.....Hugs to the girls, time for me to get to bed ... .... Joni

What a perfect getaway! So much fun and the house was perfect!

Normally we opt for the condo on the beach, but took a risk on booking a house "near" the best beach in the country. From the minute of booking, Joni (owner) was extremely friendly and helpful with supplying information about the location and how to get the most out of our vacation. She met us the first day and was super helpful with where to go (like groceries), things to do, and when to do them (get to the beach early!). She was very attentive and did check in to make sure everyting was going well. The house was perfect, the pool and the size for our family. The kids loved the space and we felt very safe and comfortable since arriving. The neighborhood is beautiful and great for exploring. The beach is super close and there are many different services available to get there if you don't want to drive. On days the kids didn't want to go to the beach, the pool was perfect with the perfect amount of sunshine- the overhangs were perfect when the sun was too much. The grill, bikes, beach chairs were all awesome to use and made us feel like we were at home away from home. Thank you Joni! It was a great week!

So glad we met! we'll see you again!....... Glad you both enjoyed your trip.... and the property. Yes, the pool seems to be the highlight of the house... Its unique location is the center of attention with all glass doors opening to the pool from every room in the house. (I always felt like I was on vacation every day! WHEN LIVING THERE...the pool w/all the glass made me feel I was living outdoors in the sunshine, all year round... my slice of Heaven.) I don't know another house with that feeling...smiles!

Beautiful house near the beach.

Joni was a terrific host. The house is extremely clean and has everything you need. The pool was fantastic fun for the kids after a day at the beach. Siesta key beach was a 10 minute bike ride or 2 minute car ride. The beach sand is the best. Overall a wonderful stay in a terrific location siesta key. Our kids had a blast. Thanks Joni.
