This rental had everything we needed for a long weekend. The kitchen was stocked with enough utensils and dishes for a group of 7. The home was clean and communication with Brandie for check in and check out was easy. She even let us check in a few hours early and provided great recommendations on restaurants in the area. Many many large flies. Hard wood floors were dusty and large human hair ball on rug in living room. Beds in basement uncomfortable. Very responsive host who was very helpful and very appreciative of that.

The house was perfect for our family reunion. It accommodated all of us so well with plenty of space options to gather together (indoors as well as outdoors), a really well equipped kitchen, a separate area for the children to play, and more than enough bedrooms for everyone. We would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this to other large groups.

Wonderful beautiful relaxing stay

The house was very nice and comfortable for our large family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have stayed in Topeka before and really enjoy the area and this home was a great location for us too. Brandie is great to work with and is always so nice so we look forward to booking with her again in the future.

Family Christmas

Perfect place to have a family holiday. Brandi was great and very responsive! We enjoyed the proximity to restaurants and shops. It was so nice having everyone together, rather than in separate hotel rooms. We would definitely stay again!

Great for families

We rented this property while in town visiting family. The house has plenty of rooms to fit all of us comfortably. The deck was awesome - perfect mix of sun and shade throughout the day and the kids loved the play set.

Spacious and comfy

Nothing was lacking in this lovely, spacious home. The country setting was perfect, yet driveable to most places you’d want or need to go. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Wedding Rental

This property had plenty of room for my family that stayed from 3 differnt states. It had everything we needed plus more. I'd recommend this property to anyone going to Topeka with a larger group.

Perfect house for a big group

Worked perfectly for our group that was in town for an event at Heartland Motorsport park. The bedrooms were all very nice and the extra beds in the basement made it all work for our group so everyone had their own space. Kitchen was well appointed and TV area worked well for a movie at the end of the day.

NOT AN ACCURATE LISTING!! July 2026. After a long drive, we sent the kids out to the play area (see pic on listing)…surprise, no play area with swings, slides, etc. We had to quickly run out and get some bubbles, freebies, balls etc. for them to play outside. I had two places in mind and this play area sold me to book this one. Meanwhile, the grill master of our group brought charcoal and decided to fire up the grill. After trying to keep it lite, he discovered a part we missing. We had to run out again to get a portable grill. The ice maker was all jammed up. We had to pour warm water in it to be able to use it. Finally, we sat down for dinner, some of us in the kitchen and some in the dining room. The chair seats were not attached to the chairs (not the chairs pictured in the listing). It looked like they were just recovered with next to no padding and the seats just set on the chairs. We had to watch the kids and ourselves so no one fell through at each meal. After a stressful evening...the pink ceiling room TV did not work. The tech guys checked it out...not working. The second bedroom in the basement, we had to steal the batteries out of the living room remote. The twin bedroom had dead bugs on the windowsill as well as on the bottom 1/3 of the shears. Plus, there was trash under the bed. Light bulbs were burnt out. The garage was scattered with leaves and bugs. I tried to work out something with Brandie for our inconvenience, but she just finally stopped replying.

We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear we fell short in some areas. A tree fell on the play area some time ago and we took it off as part of the listing when it happened. I'm sorry for any confusion, but we are happy to report there is a doll house, a children's kitchen, and many other toys such as lego for the children. Most guests comment on how many toys there are for the kids! We don't fire up the grill during cleaning and apologize we did not notice this small part was missing. We do have people on call to remedy situations like this at all times. We do have extra batteries, light bulbs all in the home and have more tvs in the home than are stated in the listing. We are a family run business and want to 'hit the mark' for each and every guest we host. Thank you again!

Excellent Family Home

This was a great place for our short weekend vacation. The main drawback was that the playground advertised was not there. We brought the toddlers in ready to go play, and there was no playground.

We do apologize as I thought I had removed all mention of the playground from the listing but will go through it again. Perfect in every way

This house afforded us some much needed family time during a difficult period. There were 15 of us in the house yet we never felt crowded. Ample sleeping accommodations and plenty of towels, etc. for everyone. We needed nothing that wasn’t already provided. It was beautifully decorated yet had a comfortable “home” feeling that felt welcoming.
