Excellent place & excellent location!!

This was by far our favorite location! This condo is in a short walking distance to the beach. Literally right out the door and around the corner. Made everything about our vacation so easy and convenient! Pool was also nice for those that wanted pool time instead of beach time. Beach towels, a small cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrella and sand toys were provided. A nice touch. We have already decided we will definitely be back again!

65 Birthday Bash!

Our condo was beautiful with a beautiful view. Easy access to the beach and the umbrellas and beach chairs came in handy. The condo was spacious and had all we needed except it would have been nice to have a few more trash bags and rolls of toilet paper. The stay was to short and we will stay longer next visit. The kids loved the books and the beach toys . It was the perfect place to celebrate my son’s life that I lost 3 months ago and my sister’s birthday!

They need to have smart phone charging stations around the condo. I had to pull the king size bed away from the wall every night to charge my electronics and the same in the Living Room pulling out the couch...not world problems, but would be nice and its an easy fix.

Great June Vacation

Even the kitchen had wonderful utensils etc. We did have to go to the front desk & ask for a coffee maker. The unit had a small Kerig which we didn’t care for but the office was so accommodating & had an extra coffee maker for us. 216 is the best unit we’ve ever had & we’ve gone to Sand Cay several years. Loved it.

Gorgeous view and comfortable furnishings

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently rented two beautiful condos for our large group. This unit had the most gorgeous view of the gulf and spacious feeling layout. Our group ended up hanging out together here most of the time, eating dinner together or doing a puzzle or watching TV. The furniture on the patio has been upgraded to a high top with 6 chairs total, including two that can be used with the small high top table facing the gulf for or an intimate breakfast for two or drinks in the evening. The living room furniture has been upgraded to a very comfortable sectional sofa with two leather, swivel chairs by the large window that can swivel to turn out and look at the gulf. The high top table inside has been removed making more seating room for your party. Finally, the beds have been upgraded as well and are very comfortable. The kitchen is open with large areas for prepping food on all the countertops.

Bedbug nightmare. Sewage Leak. Non responsive customer service.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What we originally considered to be a nice vacation in a lovely condo community turned in to an absolute nightmare. We were being eaten alive by bedbugs and had the joy of bringing them home with us after doing everything in our power to avoid it. I have video proof of the bloodstains and bites all over our legs and back. As if that wasn’t awful enough we experience a ceiling leak that landed on my husbands head while walking in to our bedroom. After calling and waiting we walked down to the front desk and requested maintenance. The maintenance crew man explained how he asked the plumber not to turn the toilet above us on, but he went ahead and turned it on anyways- leading to a flood through the floorboards and in to our ceiling. He made a comment, left and did not return to repair ANY of the wet drywall ceiling damage. We then had to call for a cleaning service to clean the WET SEWAGE WATER off of our bedroom floor. Nothing else was done to follow up- as if we spilled a cup of water while eating breakfast. Unbelievable.

The comfort of our guests here at "Sand Cay" is our first priority. We apologize for any discomfort that you had from a bite. The minute that we were informed, we took immediate action to eliminate the problem, and brought in a "licensed pest management professional" for a thorough inspection and treatment immediately.. Upon inspection. there were no findings of bedbugs in the unit. Also, we are so sorry that something beyond our control such as a ceiling leak occurred while you were staying here with us. It takes time for the ceiling to dry before any repair can be done and to see the extent of the damage, once everything is completely dry. You did receive a refund for the inconvenience regarding these issues. We really appreciate your feedback and do hope that we can welcome you back here at our beautiful resort in the near future.
