SITUÉ AU 406 EAST ARCTIC AVENUE, FOLLY BEACH SC, 29439. Ce chalet adorable Folly Beach des années 1930 adoré a été magnifiquement restauré et mis à jour, mais conserve encore le charme de Folly d'il y a des années. De l'autre côté de la rue de la plage et sur une rue pleine de lot de rue, cette maison vous rappellera «Summertime» de Gershwin et shaggin 'à la jetée. Cette maison est à voir avec 4 chambres, 2 salles de bains, planchers de bois presque partout, et un porche avant pour se détendre, regarder les vagues, et sentir les brises de l'océan. Le salon a des plafonds voûtés et une cheminée en brique. Attente pour vous à l'étage sont des vues sur l'océan depuis les chaises sur le grand porche à l'avant, et l'accès à la plage à la fois à gauche et à droite de l'autre côté de la rue avec vue sur la jetée Folly. Vous pouvez avoir du sable entre vos orteils dans les moments!

Parlez de mignon, c'est tout! À l'extérieur, aménagement paysager attrayant, grand parking, et douche extérieure avec un lecteur à travers, rue à l'allée de la rue! A l'intérieur, soyez surpris par les murs et les plafonds en lambris des années 1940. Avec un décor amusant et funky, ce n'est certainement pas la maison de plage de votre grand-mère!

4 chambres et 2 salles de bains, 2 salons, une salle à manger, cuisine avec lave-vaisselle et buanderie.

En plus de la plage, il y a beaucoup d'autres façons de passer le temps ici. Nous avons un grand parc à deux pâtés de maisons avec un court de tennis, un terrain de basket et une aire de jeux pour enfants. Il y a aussi un parc à chiens et un quai de pêche public et un embarcadère. Vous pouvez profiter de l'embarquement standup paddle, des excursions en kayak et parachute ascensionnel. Une activité favorite est une promenade à l'extrémité de l'île pour voir le phare de Morris Island avec des dauphins qui gambadent dans le canal juste en face de vous.

Folly Beach a une foule de bons restaurants locaux sur Center Street, qui est un court de 4 pâtés de maisons de la maison. En outre, les délices culinaires renommés du centre-ville de Charleston sont à 20 minutes en voiture. Jetez dans la cache historique de Charleston, et les diversions possibles sont infinies! Une fois que vous allez Folly, vous ne reviendrez jamais.

We had a wonderful stay! Can't beat the location with quick and easy access to the beach and back, and a pleasant walk to nearby store, coffee shops, restaurants and downtown. The house was charming, comfortable and the screened porch was a favorite spot for all from morning coffee to evening family game nights. Easy check-in and checkout and the management company had great communication.

Check in was smooth and effortless. All instructions for check in and check out were simple and clear. Cottage was very clean and well stocked. We had a small issue at the property and the management sorted it quickly, helpfully and thoughtfully- exactly what you would hope for and what so many properties do not deliver. Location is great and we loved the thoughtful, original and ‘curated’ consistency of decor. So much fun….. we will seekOut this property in the future.

Great authentic beach house steps from the sand

This was a great house and value. The place was perfect for our family of 4. It’s just steps from two public beach access points. The house was as described, and the rental management was as in contact with us throughout our stay. The yard, porches and driveway were all great too. If you have tiny children it may be bit too far for them to walk to center of town, but non problem for bigger kids, teens or adult. A great stay. I highly recommend it!

Could use some TLC but good location.

The interior of the home could use some updating and care. Downstairs bathroom floor was chipping and one of the bed frames in the downstairs room wouldn’t stay together (ended up using a ratchet strap to keep it together). There were also some ants in the kitchen throughout the stay; not an infestation but enough to be an annoyance. However, plenty of space for two families of four and the yard and front porch were great. Location was also hard to beat. The house is easily within walking distance of both the beach and downtown so we didn’t have to bother with fighting for parking spots.

Location, Location, Location

You cannot beat the location of this house! The beach is across the street and you are close enough to walk to Center Street. Having four young children this was one of our top priorities. Having two floors of living space was awesome, as was the screened in porch in the evenings. The pictures online showed a bunk bed on the top floor which had been replaced with a full for our stay which was disappointing. The condition of the house left a lot to be desired. We liked the lived in, well loved beach cottage vibe we picked up from the listing photos but upon arrival, the place just needs a good scrub. The floor is chipping away in several places in the bathroom and kitchen, the leather has worn through on the arms of the chairs, there are holes in the screened in porch which allowed birds in when we first arrived and there was a hole in the ceiling downstairs where insulation was coming through. We have stayed on Folly several times before and are aware of the bugs common to island life, however, we found more than usual inside the house during our stay. Of minor concern was the TV that only receives about 3-5 channels and they only had 2 kids DVDs in the house. We by no means needed fancy, top of the line accommodations traveling with kids, but cleanliness goes a long way.

Meghan, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to see that you had a few issues during your stay. Next time you stay with us, please report them to us right away so that we can get them fixed for you while you are here, instead of you having to deal with them your whole stay. To address a few items; we will have our maintenance team take care of the whole in the ceiling and the tears in the screened in porch. The chipped floors and the worn leather we will bring up to the owners to see if they can get the repairs made. Also, the house is on a quarterly pest control treatment but we will most defiantly have it sprayed again, as we did just go through some sever weather recently. The bunk beds have seen been replaced with a Full size bed. We thought those pictures taken down already, but I see that they have not been. I am sorry about that. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We hope that you stay with us again, next time you visit Folly Beach.

Good and Bad

The house had the perfect space (bedroom configurations) for the group we had planned on bringing to Folly. There isn't seating for 10 to eat in the house, though. You have to eat out on the porch, which can be uncomfortable depending on the weather. The location is really great...just across the street from beach access! The house wasn't very clean. Especially during this pandemic, we were expecting a much cleaner house. That was really disappointing! We found a solo cup with a bit of brown liquid left in it on some shelves in the kitchen, for one example. There were deflated balloons on the floor of the screened-in porch. The upholstery and pillows are all stained. The sinks and showers seemed pretty clean but the floors were not. That made us question if any frequently touched surfaces had been disinfected, such as door knobs, faucet knobs, etc. We would like to stay here again because of its location and bedrooms, but only if it is appropriately cleaned first. Quaint house

We loved this property! A little old charm. The kids loved the hammock in the back yard. It was only a very short walk to the beach which was amazing. We were also located to where we could walk to the restaurants. Loved it here!!

Older but great

Great older home with great character. Easy walk to restaurants and beach. Would definitely stay at this home again. Thought it had a ping pong table so some of the crowd was disappointed that there wasn’t one
