The place was clean. They even allowed us an early check in which was super nice of them.Before getting into the heavier stuff, despite the listing claiming that the unit had AC, it did not. And unfortunately, it was 90 all weekend. They were at least nice enough to get us an additional fan, but it was still hard to endure.Okay now to get into it. On the Friday night of our stay, we decide to go out. We are getting ready to leave, we put on music unaware of how thin the walls are and walk regularly. No crazy partying or anything, just getting ready for a night out! We fully abide by all STATED (important word!) rules. That is until 11:30 hits and the woman who I believe is a building manager who lives below us, keys into our unit without even attempting to knock and SCREAMS at us. Cusses us out. Threatens to call the police (and does!) because of an “11pm curfew” that wasn’t on the listing at the time! I showed her the listing and heard her later yelling on the phone at whoever she pays to deal with renting her unit out.I then get 3 calls and texts from different numbers at 3am regarding the incident. I message on VRBO and tell them I want to discuss it through the app. The respondent states if I don’t answer the property managers whatsapp call (which disappears after 24 hours) that they will cancel our reservation. He then berates me telling me it’s common decency. I don’t really know what they expect for New York on a friday night. Overall EXTREMELY disappointing.
