The Space:

Escape to St. George Island at this colorful, snowbird-friendly beach house. A classic, Florida-style stilted house, this rental boasts four bedrooms and tons of amenities, making it perfect for an extended stay.



Up a small flight of steps, guests will be greeted by a furnished front porch, complete with a six-seater dining table. The porch is great for people-watching as it faces a popular, mixed-use pedestrian path. Move over to the large, open deck for some sun-bathing or fire up the private grill for a family cookout.



The large, open-concept living/kitchen/dining area is a great family gathering place. Island seating for four plus a six-seater dining table provides plenty of space for meals and you'll find all your cooking needs met in the full kitchen.



The living area divides the bedrooms, with three guest bedrooms on one side and the primary suite on the other. Two guest bedrooms share a full bathroom. The third bedroom features three an attached bathroom. In the main suite, primary guests will enjoy a private bathroom.

The house was comfortable and clean, in a good location convenient to both the beach and town, and had a very nice new pool! As another positive, the wi-fi was excellent, which made logging on and working in between fun no problem. We appreciate the chance to stay here and had a relaxing time on the island!

April birthday getaway

Our stay was a wonderful time. The home was as mentioned in the ad but did not have nice Adirondack chairs on porch, and the table and chairs outside were a bit old. The kitchen was well appointed but also a little dated and we had to hunt for utensils but we did find them, hiding in the island. Could not find the beach towels mentioned in the ad. The pool needed to be vacuumed but was comfortably warm. We enjoyed our stay, very quiet and comfortable.

Family Beach trip

The house was very roomy for our family of 10. The deck was very enjoyable. The problem we had was the oven bake element burn up on second day and was never fixed before we left so that meant 2 0f our meals that we were going to have at the house could not be cooked so that was extra expense because we had to eat out more than we planned!

great house bad appliances

house is kept in good order and most facilities were in working order and they had installed a pool 2 weeks prior to our arrival. the pool was a saving grace. with the hot tub not working I almost had some irate guests staying with me, however a heated pool helped greatly. the three beds in one room was a bit awkward for those in the room but they managed. As for the appliances, wifi cutout on our 3rd day there, dryer did not dry, and dish washer did not wash.

Listing not accurate

The home was for sale and the exterior maintenance showed it. The photos were from a younger time. The owner refused to repair the hot tub and the management team would only return the tub cleaning fee. We were expecting to use it a lot. The interior was clean but dated. The home is on a busy street and no view of the gulf as pictures show. Requested a reimbursement for lack of use but no response yet. Will look at other places next time

I went with my Mom and sister. It was in may and everything was great! It was only a short walk to the beach. With all our gear I drove down to the beach and walked back. It was very spacious a little dated but that should be expected with a rental. A little kick up with the got tube but that was taken care of the second day. (Only had to switch the breaker) the team was on every problem. We even locked ourselves out and they changed the code and sent it to me immediately. Wonderful stay. One thing though. If you plan on making tea or lemonade bring your on pitcher. It's not really set up for baking or cooking elaborate meal. But hay, we weren't really that disappointed. We loved eating sandwiches and eating fruit. Just infor for family's that want to cook big meals.

Vacasa does not care

The only good thing was the property was very clean, but the good news ended there. The sauna needed to be shocked and cleaned. It did not work properly. The icemaker in the fridge did not work. The washing machine did not work. Despite telling the office we had nine people in the house with two under the age of three, the only thing we were offered was the directions to a laundromat! I don't use laundromats when at home, and I'm certainly not going to use one when on vacation. I am extremely disappointed with Vacasa and will never use them again for any vacation or other rental.
