Ideal for conference guests, concert weekends, and bourbon tourists. Enjoy incredible views from this 8th-floor corner loft in a beautifully restored historic downtown building. With 1,200 sq ft of open space, youâre steps from the Kentucky Int'l Conv Center and the Urban Bourbon Trail, plus dining, nightlife, museums, Waterfront Park, Churchill Downs, medical centers, and the airport. Sleeps up to 6 (with 3rd queen bed set up upon request).
THE SPACE
This is a genuinely unique and breathtaking space located conveniently in downtown Louisville. Open the door to this 1,200 square foot penthouse loft, with 14 foot ceilings and 40 feet of windows that overlook the city to the West and river to the Northâprepare to view some spectacular sunsets. Cool glazed concrete floors throughout, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The open floor plan allows for enjoying the space any way that youâd like, with moveable furniture to create intimate spaces and a semi private room at the back. Large living room area. The historic Glassworks building is a multi-use facility dedicated to the art of glass, featuring two working glass studios, 2 glass galleries, a walk-in workshop, and daily tours if youâre interested. Located within blocks of several downtown museums, bars, dining options, Conv Center, the Yum Center, and more.
Sleeping â Sleeps up to 6 people (up to three queen-size beds at 2 people per bed). Based on the number of guests in your reservation and the number of beds you tell us you would like, we customize for your group size prior to your arrival. There are 2 distinct sleeping areasâbecause of the floor plan you can sleep up to four people with visual privacy in the back semi-private sleeping area which has two queen beds, and two more with less privacy in the main living area bed (if desired). All of our beds are memory foam mattresses.
Bathroom â 1 Bathroom. There will be a stack of plush, hotel-quality towels. There is a shower with a tub, toilet, sink, mirror, and several shelves for toiletries. In the shower you will find dispensers full of shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel.
Eating and Dining areas â Dining area seats 2-6. Our tables fold down to accommodate parties as small as two or can be combined together to accommodate parties of more. They are easy to move and can be put discreetly to the side when not in use. We also offer a combination of modern, sleek, stackable metal and leather chairs. The kitchen is stocked with appliances and convenient amenities for your dining needs including a Keurig Coffee Maker and coffee pods, sugar and sweeteners, creamer and black tea⊠thereâs a teapot if needed.
Entertaining and Lounging â There is a large modular, leather, sectional sofa that can be set up as a deep L-shaped couch or as a large Lounge Pit with the extra ottomans filling the center. It's a great spot to chill and watch a movie or two on the HDTV, or even to get some work done on your laptop.
Reminders:
There is absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind, of any substance, allowed in the building or unit. and no pets allowed. If the alarms and/or building sprinkler systems are tripped due to smoking or vaping (even with the windows open), the guest(s) WILL be responsible for all damages in the building, to our unit, and to the other units in the building. Please read the house rules thoroughly before making a reservation. Thanks!
Guest access
This loft is a complete, private home that is 1,200 square feet. You will have access to everything inside your condo.
This is a secure building. Accordingly, access is provided with keycards that will be issued to you when you check in, and you will have a unique code for the door keypad. The keycard is needed for access to the building lobby (âafter hoursâ) and to access the elevator and Floor 8. Your unique code will gain you access to Unit 806 at the door keypad.
Also in the building lobby, you will find conveniences like vending machines.

Bottom line: we really hope you enjoy your visit to our city. We love it here, and hope that you do too. Many who have visited us in Louisville over the last 5 years from all over the country have said "we never thought that we'd love it here as much as we do." HOUSE RULES
We do NOT allow events. parties, smoking or pets in our Loft. There is absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind, of any substance, allowed in the entire building or within our unit. Smoking or vaping with the windows open or smoking out of the window can still trip the alarm and sprinklers for the entire building--If the alarms and/or sprinkler systems are tripped due to smoking, the guest(s) will be responsible for all damages to the building, to our unit, and to the other units in the building along with any fees related to first responders. Only those individuals who are included on the Vrbo reservation are allowed in the unit and buildingâno other visitors, at any time of day or night, are allowed without prior agreement with hosts. All guests MUST BE QUIET IN HALLS/ELEVATOR. Noise in the halls is amplified. All keycards must be returned at checkout. $100 replacement fee per keycard.
Check In is after 3:00 PM
Check Out is before 10:00 AM
Six guest maximum.
PARKING
We are surrounded by parking options! Metered street parking is available directly in front of the building, and in that strip only it's free before 7A, after 6P, and on Sunday (NOTE: Always check the meter as times are subject to change); Also there are parking garages directly across the street ($18/day) and directly behind our building ($10/day). Plus, there is slightly cheaper ($7 all day) open surface lot parking just down the block at the corner of W Market and 8th St, and to the west of the building ($5 all day) as well. (NOTE: The open lot parking is not best for overnight parking as it expires at either Midnight or 4A, depending on whether you pay at the kiosk or through the app.) This parking information is as up to date as possible, but it's still all subject to change. Please verify before parking.
