Comprised of 2 stand-alone homes, the property is perfect for couples, families, or any group wanting to be together in a serene compound. A game filled yard, then flows into an expansive outdoor area w/ a in-ground fire-pit & endless views. Your own oasis!

The property sits on two and a half acres of both landscaped and natural desert land with the long views that are associated with the gently sloping hills of the Joshua Tree Highlands neighborhood. Owl & Hare includes two separate suites fittingly named Owl and Hare. Each space offers 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living area w/ TV and a fully-stocked kitchen. Both suites have private entrances and patios but also open onto a generous, connected courtyard that offers a variety of sitting, lounging, and dining options. The newly built pool overlooking Joshua Tree has its own lounge area along with hot tub deck w/ outdoor shower.

Primary Bedroom: King Bed with en-suite bathroom | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed with small seating couch with direct access full bath.

HARE side:
Primary Bedroom: King Bed Bed with en-suite bathroom| Bedroom 2: 2 Queen Beds and bathroom on the other side of the suite from the kitchen and living area.

OWL:
Fully equipped kitchen with 4 person high seating breakfast bar. Multifunctional coffee machine to make regular coffee as well as espressos along with milk-frother. Optional 8 person dining table conversion from pool table.

HARE:
Kitchen is fully equipped for any desert-inspired culinary endeavor. Kettle, drip and French press coffee maker. A long kitchen island with 4 person seating. 6 person formal dining with expansive desert mountain views.

-LIVING SPACE-
OWL:
Game room with long bench and high chair seating around the pool table with amazing views and opening directly to the outdoor dining and entertaining patio with expansive views. 55 inch smart TV and Sonos speakers for entertainment.

HARE:
Inviting couch with ample space to gather around for the whole group. 65 inch framed tv for ambience and entertainment. Sonos speakers.

-OUTDOOR SPACE-
The outdoor space has been arranged to optimize engagement with the desert surrounds and provide communal AND private space throughout the compound. A covered pool w/ National Park views, a large fire-pit with ample seating, chaise lounges for sunning or stargazing, a patio with open and shaded lounging areas, and plenty of room for yoga (mats and props provided).

Hot tub deck with outdoor shower with desert views. 4 hammocks next to the pool to relax and stargaze.

Play area with pickleball court surrounded by desert landscape and mountain views. Airstream next to it is a refurbished 1968 International Overlander. It is not for sleeping but available as a “pool and game equipment storage ” or hangout space w/ POKER TABLE to be only used in good weather conditions. It is not electrified.

A few steps away is the PING-PONG, GOLF PUTTING green and BOCCE BALL area to spend a day of relaxation and fun.

Outdoor multifunction gym equipment w/ free weights for workouts in the breezeway.

Outdoor BBQ area with propane grill w/ grilling tools and outdoor dining table with Hammock to relax, cook and mingle with Friends & Family.

Outdoor patios with big couch 6 person dining table w/ sonos speakers overlooking the national park mountains.

There are multiple options for outdoor dining throughout Owl & Hare.

Other outdoor amenities include pet area for their business. 2 swings overlooking the desert mountains.

While we take great care to ensure our outdoor spaces are pristine for your arrival, please remember that the high desert is a living, breathing environment. Occasional winds can bring a bit of sand and dust onto the furniture—it’s all part of the Joshua Tree magic! If you feel the area needs an extra refresh during your stay, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Also, as you enjoy the starlit nights, please be mindful of our local neighbors—coyotes and other desert wildlife are common at night. We appreciate your understanding and hope you have a truly memorable stay

***IMPORTANT POINTS***

✦Age restriction and safety: The minimum age requirement for the renter is 25 years or above. A valid photo ID must be provided for proof. Failure to comply will result in booking cancellation without refund.

✦Septic System: The home is on a septic system. Please flush only the provided toilet paper. Any wipes, paper towels, feminine products, or other materials can cause blockages and significant damage. Plumbing issues resulting from improper use may incur repair charges exceeding $500.

✦Sustainability & Waste: To help protect our environment, we kindly ask guests to minimize waste and dispose off trash responsibly during their stay.

✦Hot Tub Care: Please shower before entering the hot tub to preserve water quality. Oils and lotions can damage the system. Excessive cleaning due to misuse may result in additional charges.

✦Table Care: No drinks or open containers are allowed on the game tables (Pool, Arcade, etc.). Spills will cause permanent damage.

✦No smoking/Vaping/E-cigs/use of recreational drugs: Violation of any of this will result in immediate eviction without refund plus penalties.

✦No Parties or Events: Unauthorized gatherings, smoking, or violation of house rules may result in fees and immediate removal from the property.

✦We provide Sonos speakers with restricted volume to abide by county rules and respect the neighborhood. Strictly no outside speakers allowed.

✦Pre-Arrival Information: At least 24 hours prior to arrival, guests will receive their personalized door code, full address, and detailed check-in instructions.

✦Guest Count: Please make sure the correct number of guests & pet/s are selected when booking. Anyone on the property at any given time is counted towards the total guests count even if they are not staying overnight. Pricing might differ with number of guests. We do not offer partial-night guest additions, the fee would apply for the full stay for any additional guests who are added to the reservation. Unapproved/undisclosed guests will incur penalties of $250 per guest per day and $300 for undisclosed pet. Please refer to the house/additional rules for details.

✦Insurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off! No refund request will be accommodated by the host for last minute cancellations.

✦ Early Check-In & Late Check-Out: Due to our property location and tight housekeeping schedules, early arrivals and late departures are typically unavailable. Guests needing extended access may book an additional night before or after their stay. We'll do our best to accommodate your request if we don't have same day check in or check out. Typical early check-in/late check-out rates depending upon the availability for Owl & Hare house are (for non-holiday week/weekend only):

Pool Use Disclaimer:

Guests acknowledge that the pool is not lifeguard supervised and may pose inherent risks. Use of the pool is strictly at the guest’s own risk.
Guests agree not to use the pool after consuming alcohol or any impairing substances. Diving, rough play, and unsafe conduct are strictly prohibited.
Children and non-swimmers must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Guests confirm they are physically fit to use the pool and assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their party.
The hosts shall not be held liable for any injury, accident, or loss arising from the use of the pool or surrounding area. By using the pool, guests agree to these terms.
The pool technician comes every Tuesdays and Fridays for the cleaning and maintenance of the pool, hot tub and cold plunge.
