"Captain's Quarters" est une maison rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e avec trois chambres et deux salles de bain, de style Conch, qui peut accueillir huit personnes, et elle est situĂ©e au mile 52 avec un accĂšs direct Ă  l'ocĂ©an. Cette charmante maison avec de beaux plafonds en bois Ă  rainure et languette est situĂ©e Ă  seulement quatre lots de l'ocĂ©an Atlantique afin que vous puissiez pĂȘcher et plonger dans l'Atlantique en quelques minutes, et il est Ă©galement pratique pour le Vaca Cut afin que vous puissiez ĂȘtre dans le Golfe en quelques minutes ainsi que. Parce que cette maison est si proche de l'ocĂ©an, vous pourrez Ă©galement profiter de belles vues en eau libre et de douces brises ocĂ©aniques. Nous venons Ă©galement d'installer une belle nouvelle piscine chauffĂ©e qui vous gardera au frais en Ă©tĂ© et sera Ă©galement chauffĂ©e en hiver afin qu'elle puisse ĂȘtre apprĂ©ciĂ©e toute l'annĂ©e. Cette maison est situĂ©e dans un quartier calme, dispose d'un grand parking, et il est pratique pour les restaurants, les magasins, les magasins d'appĂąts et de pĂȘche, les magasins de plongĂ©e, l'aĂ©roport de Marathon, la plage de Sombrero, et il est Ă  distance de marche de Oceanfront Park qui a un 1 / Parcours de jogging de 2 miles et parcours de santĂ©, parc Ă  chiens, quais de pĂȘche et jolies tiki huttes sur l'ocĂ©an. Sweet spot. The location, home, and host team were great. We had everything we needed for a week on the water. The houseman even stopped by on an exceptionally windy day we couldn’t make it on the water to check if we wanted the temp on the pool warmer. Unlike a lot of short term rentals these days, the check out was easy. No long list of to-do’s before leaving- just common sense tasks, pack and go. It helped us make the most of our time.

Property had a great location, 3:2 with a pool, everything you could need in the kitchen, minus a cutting board. There were sugar ants in the kitchen and insects throughout the home. You do need to keep shoes on, small rocks all around the pool and wooden steps w splinters leading into the sliding glass doors. This house was location and pool for us, if you are looking for elegance or resort style, this home wouldn’t be for you.

What a cozy home! In a good way. It felt bigger than I had expected which was great since we were 4 adults and doggies. We really enjoyed the pool and having the boat right there to jump on whenever we wanted. There was a learning curve with turning the boat in the canal and idling out to deeper water. But all was well after we figured that out. The visiting neighbors were very nice also. The guys would chat over the fence as they gutted fish, and talked about their finds for the day :)

Great stay!

Had a nice stay. The house was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable as well. Kitchen was well stocked. Everything we needed, we had. Outdoor area was perfect, especially the pool! Had a wonderful stay.

Great getaway!

We had a wonderful stay! House was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in and had plenty of room for our family of 4. Loved hanging out in the pool and fishing in the canal. We will definitely be back!

Perfect spot!

Just as advertised - greatly little spot on the water! Kitchen was stocked well enough to prepare meals and serve entire family! We liked the additional bait freezer that was located on the property. Overall, a wonderful spot that we would recommend!

A Perfect Stay

This house was even nicer that the pictures that showed it. Every room, including the kitchen, was spacious and comfortable. We cooked all our meals, including four types of pierogi for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, and I found everything I needed, and was totally comfortable working in the kitchen. The grill was clean and easy to operate, too. Our mattress was firm and comfortable, and our family said the same about theirs. I felt like quality materials were chosen for the house and that really added to our comfort. We loved the pool and patio and took several meals to the covered picnic table. Ed, the property manager, stopped by to show us how to regulate the pool temperature and he was quick to answer any questions and help when needed. I’m not sure if we’ll get back to the Keys, but if we do, this is where we will stay. It was ideal.

Great Time In the Keys

The location was great. Nice to have a park across the street to walk the dog. Easy to get out into the Atlantic by boat. Plenty of linens. Steps into living room are a bit tricky for elderly. We enjoyed our stay.

Boat Owners Use Caution

The house and outdoor area was very nice and clean. There is not much living area but bedrooms and baths were really large. The shower in the largest bath could use a different faucet and was difficult to use. As in previous posts, the canal is narrow and difficult to turn your boat around. The channel coming into the canal is shallow in spots. All these are fine if you are a well experienced captain with a small boat or a boat with thrusters. These facts should be mentioned in the listing. There also needs to be a garden hose on both sides of the house. Also mentioned in previous posts, the street is narrow as well and requires precision backing of the trailer. Overall, if you have a small boat (20 ft or less) or aren’t bringing your boat, this is a very nice house.

Wonderful stay

Lovely place in a nice location had everything we needed for a great vacation for 3 adults. Beds were very comfortable. We cooked most nights using a well equipped kitchen. We saw manatees in the canal and caught enough snapper for a dinner. The small airport is nearby, but there wasn't enough air traffic to bother us. Nights were quiet. We will certainly return!

Family Vacation

We have stayed in Marathon a few times and we really enjoyed this home. The private pool was amazing and our 4 year old loved having his "pool parties" every evening. We had everything we needed plus more for the house and everything was as pictured. As others had mentioned the road and driveway are a bit tight for a boat trailer. We had to back the trailer down the road but was not a problem as the street is really quiet. We had a 24.5' boat and it was just about all you could get into the driveway and out of the road. Just the trailer was not bad but with the boat on the trailer it probably was over the property line slightly for our last night there. As long as you are comfortable backing a trailer this was not an issue. The property owners was very responsive and easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for the awesome trip!

Good stay

A few things I wish I had known prior. Location was good for easy access by boat however the road by vehicle is very small. There is no turn around for boat so you have to back down or unhitch and rehitch. Bigger problem was we had 2 other rentals with boats so we were all stuck waiting on each other. The pool is super small big enough for 4 adults to stand around that’s it. The inside is dated and needs some updates. We did let the manager know a few things that didn’t work and hopefully it’s fixed for next renters. Overall a good location just wasn’t prepared for a few things.
