I needed a winter away to help heal after my husband's death. This property in the adorable, insanely dog-friendly village of Shell Beach was just the place. My two dogs and I walked all over, from the many oceanside parks to the friendly neighborhood businesses including a coffee shop, small grocery, quirky post office, stunning Italian deli and a grill where I was given leftover beef tips for my pups. We especially loved catching ocean sunsets at the end of the block, relaxing in the barked backyard with nice deck and landscaping (the calla lily plant was perfect for the occasional cut flower), getting to know several neighbors and their dogs on sight, and taking advantage of the nearby highway and short driving distances to other coastal towns. Only tested one bed but it was super comfortable and the attached bathroom made for a great shower with lots of hot water. Pretty and very functional kitchen.

Our Perfect Location

Worked perfect for us. Close to great hiking, close to the beach and close tp great food and drink. The home is very clean and comfortable and has all the amenities you might need!

Loved our stay!

Jack (my dog) and I really enjoyed the wonderful neighborhood of Shell Beach during our October stay. House was lovely, well maintained and fully stocked for our comfort. The location was amazing, - short walks to the ocean, restaurants (our favorite Zorro's-complete with dog menu!). Robbin was a great host and very responsive. Can't wait to return!

Great location

We absolutely loved the area. Great walks at shell beach, just down the road. Dogs loved it as well . Nice area for the dogs in front and back. Neighborhood is super friendly. We just moved to the area and rented for 3 months while our house was being finished— wish I would have looked to buy in shell beach.

Perfect Family Stay

We fell in love with the California Central Coast! This area is a hidden gem! It’s beautiful yet not crowded. We spent lots of time at Dinosaur Caves Park and Spyglass Park. Hiking at Pismo Preserve was a favorite too. We loved being nestled between Pismo Beach and Avila Beach. We were also a quick drive to San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. The SLO County libraries were wonderful and allowed me to get a library card with the rental contract. Robbin was an excellent and proactive host. She offered many ideas on things to do and checked in to make sure everything going well. The house itself was spacious and comfortable for an extended stay. We loved the kitchen and the extra toilet off the master bedroom.

Cottage by the sea

We loved the refurbished beach cottage in Shell Beach. The new kitchen had everything you could need! We were so happy to be there but became Ill and had to go home early.

Peaceful Beach Stay

Had a wonderful time at this home in Shell Beach. The house was very clean, cozy and comfortable and Robbin was very responsive with any questions. The kitchen was well stocked and beautifully updated. The location is great - walkable to some great restaurants and a delicious coffee shop. Would love to stay again in the future!!

Updated Quaint Beach House

From the beautifully remodeled kitchen, with everything you could possibly need, to the soaking jetted tub and hardwood floors, this house lives up to its description. It was a short walk to the scenic bluffs and Shell Beach. Try Zorro’s on the corner. They have a doggie menu! I stumbled upon The Lido Restaurant at Dolphin Cove Resort for an amazing dinner by the sea. Robbin was always reachable and incredibly nice. I felt extremely comfortable in this home. My dog loved it as well. Thank you!

A Lovely Respite

My stay here was absolutely wonderful. The house was larger than I expected and had great outdoor space in the front and back yards for outdoor yoga or soaking up the sun. It’s a quick walk to Steaming Bean for a cup of coffee in the morning or to one of the parks to watch the sunset over the ocean. Robbin is a great host and is very responsive to any questions or concerns. My only regret was not booking this place for longer!

Nice place at a great location!

It’s very obvious that the owner takes pride in taking care of this house and it’s guests. The house has just about everything for the guests to have a great stay. Robbin, the owner, very quickly responds to any questions or concerns we had. Thanks Robbin! Safe secure backyard if you have a dog. The location of the house is just great. We explored beaches, trails, wineries, and breweries. Hearst Castle was about an hour drive. At low tide you can access the beach right at the end of the street, a very short walk. The area is very dog friendly. The are also some really nice casual restaurants within a short walk. Just a great stay!

Perfect, darling cottage by the sea!!

My husband and I recently spent a month here, this past Fall. The house is clean, comfortable, well equipped, in a safe neighborhood, just a few blocks to spectacular Shell Beach. Our dog was also comfortable, has fenced yard in the front and back. Great location to explore and enjoy the Central Coast!

Beach House at Shell Beach

Let me start by saying the owners are great to work with. My compliments to Robbin. My wife and I found this property to be very clean upon our arrival. It was quite apparent this small two bedroom home has been well taken care of. It is located in a nice neighborhood close to everything. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the backyard reading . Such a peaceful place. We often walked to the beach which was located at the end of our street. Several restaurants are all within walking distance as well. We were out almost everyday sightseeing and finding new places to go. What a great area. I would recommend (and have done so ) to friends, family, or anyone reading this. Excellent experience

The house was comfortable and the basic supplies were provided so I could use time to enjoy area. Walked every day on beach front just a short block away . Owner was very receptive to quickly fix things that had occurred.

We are a family with adult children who love to visit the Central Coast where all of our extended family have permanently relocated.

We love the beautiful Central Coast region with its magnificient ocean views, sandy beaches, wineries, restaurants and shopping. Shell Beach/Pismo Beach is so relaxing and peaceful. Our neighborhood is on the ocean side of Highway 101 with beautiful homes and friendly neighbors.

Friends and family easily visit our home as we are centrally located halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our favorite activities while staying at our Shell Beach home are the long walks around the nearby cliffs and neighborhoods with spectacular beach views, grassy parks, and convenient park benches. Sitting with a glass of wine at sunset or morning coffee as the ocean comes alive with sea otters, seals, and pelicans cruising by are highlights. We also love long walks on sandy Pismo Beach from the pier down to the base of Grand Avenue - where you can still drive your car onto the beach. Wine tasting at the world-class wineries around Paso Robles is great fun followed by a delicious dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants in the area.
We happily allow well-behaved dogs so those who stay with us without pets please do understand that we do our very best to clean up after our furry friends & we appreciate your understanding.
