Villa Amistad a été professionnellement conçu et construit par l'architecte Ivonne Gamio. Beautiful Home with a Great View

We had a large group of friends staying for a week and couldn't be happier with the house. It was extremely clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The pool is one of the nicest on the north side of Isla. The owners were there when we stayed and treated everyone extremely well. The next time that we return we will definitely rent Villa Amistad again.

The Villa!

We loved staying at the Villa! It was a great location and so much room to spread out. Very comfortable beds and nice air conditioning. Our 2 1/2 year old grandson really loved the pool! Would love to come back someday!

Villa Amistad is a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of space great for our family of 7. The pool is wonderful with views to die for and the walk to town is short. A little grocery store is nearby and a little bigger one with fruits and veggies isn’t much farther. We loved our stay!

Best family vacation!

This property is wonderful! We had a total of 8 staying here, including children. Amazing views, beautiful home, pool overlooking the ocean, and lots of places to walk too. We also rented golf carts to get around the island. Highly recommend - we will definitely be back!

Villa Amistad is Fabulous

We have stayed on the island many times and this home is one of the best. Location is perfect. The view is fabulous. We loved being in the pool and hearing the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices and oils. Great place to stay with a large group or family.

Well worth the Stay

This beautiful property is more than even pictures can describe. Our Check in was seamless and our stay was way beyond our expectations. Gordon was an amazing host and checked in with us many times to make sure we were above satisfied. You cannot beat the property, the location and the amazing view. We had a great vacation. Enjoyed the space and all the different deck levels the condo has to offer. Loved all the goodies in the Fridge and on the counters left for our use. Perfect Girls Trip

Went on a girls trip to Isla and stayed at this fantastic villa! The villa is beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. Great views of the ocean with a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the water. Close to town so walking distance to tons of restaurants. The house manager was great and quickly responded to any request. Gordon, the host, could not have been better. So nice and friendly and tons of help with referrals, hot spots, booking adventures, etc. We will definitely book here again! LOVED IT!

The Best

We rented this side of the villa along with the 3 bedroom side for my sister-in-law and her husband. It's a very beautiful place to stay. Great AC Awesome water pressure in showers and the following special touches. A large library of books Coolers to use Cold beer and tequila in fridge Pool floats Suntan lotion Portable beach chairs to take to beach I could go on and on But.......... the crowning touch is the wonderful views of the ocean right in front of the infinity pool. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Simply amazing!

The house was exactly that, simply amazing. From the layout of the house itself to the beautiful views in the morning and evening. Everything was great. Everyone that was in the house had the same thoughts. The location is in great walking distance to the entire north end of the island. Do however get yourself a golf cart and go on a tour of the southern end for the views and cliffs. I would definitely recommend a trip to this island and plan to come back some day.

Great location, beautiful home with spectacular view!

We spent 5 nights over Thanksgiving on Isla Mujeres and couldn’t have rented a better house. It’s located 5 minutes from the ferry and and an easy walk to all restaurants, shops and North Beach. There were 10 of us and the house easily accommodated us all. The kitchen was well stocked and bottled water provided. The pool was beautiful and the view even better. I have been to the island several times and will stay at Villa Amistad again. Erin was always quick to respond to any questions and Stacy, the property manager, was awesome! It could not have been a better experience. Highly recommend!

Great location & everything you may need

Well kept property, plenty of room for 7 of us. We took our kids on a family vacation with their significant others. Privacy when needed & plenty of together time. We loved the pool & the gorgeous views of the Caribbean waters, beautiful sunrise to wake up to while still lying in bed. The well stocked kitchen & the AC works great. We had a little trouble with the safe but was quickly addressed by the amazing & attentive property manager Stacy. We would definitely return as this was our 4th trip to Isla. We love the culture & beautiful beaches. Villa Amistad was a big hit with all of us! 🏖💕

Lucky to have picked Villa Amistad!

8 friends which included 3 recently retired teachers thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay Jan 15-22! Check in and communication with Stacy was seamless thanks to WhatsApp. Although the 2 back bedrooms are small, the generous common spaces allowed plenty of room to relax. The pool was on the cool side for the first day or 2 but great in the afternoon after a day exploring or snorkeling. We were obvious to the no toilet paper down the toilet on the entire Island so that took some getting used to:( In summary the Villa Amistads proximity to Playa Norte, Centro, Ferry Dock, downtown and on the malecon adjacent to the blue Caribbean was perfect!

Great condo

Great condo. My family of 10 rented both sides of this condo for our vacation this year. The condo is exactly like it is listed. Having a washer and dryer was very handy. The daily housekeeping was an added bonus. The air conditioning units in each room cool down each room very fast. We spent tons of time in the pool which has an amazing view of the ocean. The location is close to downtown. The house is nice and quiet and feels very safe. Check-in was a breeze in communication with the owner was amazing. The house is very clean and my bed was very comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

Amazing time!

From the very beginning, the house took our breath away! The ocean views were amazing! The location of the house was perfect as we were close to the north side; but not that close so we did have quite nights and that was important to us as we had 3 kids under 5. We walked pretty much everywhere so the location was great. The house itself was well maintained, clean, very well organized and very spacious. The cleaning lady was super nice and came every day with such a great attitude/energy. We stayed in some days as the weather wasn't the best during our stay (super windy and cold); but we made the best of it. The owner came to introduce himself and offer any help/advice if needed. He was very nice! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house was packed with all we needed to make breakfast every morning, had beach towels, and even sand toys for the kids! We would definitely rent it again.

Spacious Villa with a perfect location!

6 adults stayed in the villa. The location was perfect! It was easy to get around and just a few blocks from North Beach. Many restaurants and tons of shopping within walking distance. The pool was too cold to swim in during our time on the island but it would have been perfect during a warmer time of year. The house was very clean and our daily housekeeper Katia did a phenomenal job every single day. We were a little disappointed that there was no cable service even though we were under the impression that there was service before arriving. Lastly, as several couples traveling together we also would have liked to have a tv in each room to watch at night after we went to bed. The villa owners are super nice and very helpful. I had to reach out to them during our stay and they went above and beyond to help us with our issue (which was unrelated to our rental). Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Heaven in Paradise

Villa Amistad took our breath away the moment we opened the front door & could see the ocean through the beautiful glass doors into the beautiful pool area. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks transforms you. You are only separated from the ocean by a lovely walkway, called the Malecon that runs a good length of the island & the Villa has direct access to it through a door next to the pool which was a plus. A walk down the Malecon after sunset was magical. When we weren’t at the beach, we were in the Villa pool enjoying the amazing ocean views. The pool area was beautiful & equipped with lounge chairs, beach towels, floaties. The sunken living room area was a highlight. A great place to relax & enjoy the ocean views. The kitchen was generously equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The queen bedrooms were spacious & cozy. The large king bedroom suites were a dream. You could really spread yourself out & we really enjoyed the private balcony & views. The villa has a huge third level partially covered outdoor area that was great for all of us to gather. We enjoyed our morning coffee there & the lovely ocean breeze. The Villa’s A/C was a godsend after being out all day in the heat & humidity. Upon our arrival Stacy met with us to go over important info we needed during our stay. She was extremely friendly, personable & made us feel very welcome. Both Stacy & Gordon were responsive to our communications. Villa Amistad, muchas gracias!!!!

A week in paradise !

A friend who is also a long-time Isla vacationer and I came to the island with 5 first-timers and I wanted to stay in an awesome place that they'd be sure to love. I've walked/biked by Villa Amistad for years, and it did NOT disappoint. The house was beautiful, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed (including a variety of left-behind bar goodies and sun block). The location is wonderful - close to centro but no noise, and right on the MalecĂČn. Of course, we went to punta sur for a few sunrises, but they looked great right from the house, too! I was so happy that I had the opportunity to meet Mary and Gordy to thank them in person, and their daughter, Erin, who handles the booking, was beyond wonderful to work with. Any on-site issues (we ran out of water one day) were dealt with immediately. Our first timers all want to return. The only reason I *don't* want to recommend this lovely spot is that I don't want to have it booked when we want to return!

25th anniversary trip

We stayed at Villa Amistad for a week in June, my husband and I, with three of our adult children who each brought one guest. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, the beds were very comfortable and everything was well equipped. We loved having a kitchen and dining room we cooked breakfast a couple days and cooed the fish we caught when we went fishing Monday. The pool in the backyard is wonderful to refresh, there are six beach loungers out in the back if I recall correctly plus some chairs and a table up on the patio area. Have any ability to open the sliding doors all the way for it to seem like a seamless transition into the outside was wonderful. The upstairs rooftop patio area was well used and well loved. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family, and I would stay here again with a large group. We only rented the south villa, which has four bedrooms and four baths but I think you can also rent the North Villa which has three bedrooms and three baths. The location cannot be beat, there are steps down to the Malecon, you are less than six minute walk to Hildago Street, less than 10 minute walk to Playa Norte, and about a seven minute walk to the ferry terminal. Hola! A little about us... We are originally from Wisconsin and moved to Florida about 10 years ago and are working in construction and property management here.

We first discovered our little island in 1976! We were "spring breakers"- not the drinking, partying kind- we were the exploring kind of spring breakers. We traveled all around the Yucatan Peninsula. Almost at the end of our trip we stumbled on Isla Mujeres. We fell in love with the little island and have been going back as much as possible since then. The gorgeous blue/green waters and the kind, caring islanders drew us back time after time!

We were walking down Ave. Juarez and saw a "for sale" sign on the Villa Amistad- Well, it did not take us long to decide to put in an offer and a few months later became the official owners.

And...Now we can call it home and we are so delighted and excited! We are so happy to own such a Gem of a property and to be able to share it with others. It really is our little piece of Paradise!

Villa Amistad, or the Friendship House in Spanish, is located right on the Caribbean with an infinity pool and direct access to the Malecon. It is also walking distance to North Beach and Hidalgo St where all the action is. You can walk everywhere and not be dependent on golf carts or taxis!
