Wonderful Vacation!

My mother, sister, and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Jeanne’s family condo. My daughter and her roommate stayed in another condo in the same complex too! The location was great to quickly get to the beautiful SSI beaches and yummy restaurants. We spent a few hours at the pool relaxing and playing games.This is our 3rd time staying at this condo. It is clean and quiet; the kitchen has all necessary items; & having a washer/dryer is helpful also.We will return!Thank you Jeanne and family for another great vacation!

Stay was good. I wouldn't recommend children upstairs and use only bottom floor. My grandchildren she 5 are early rise 8 am). Neighbors complained by pounding on door. Otherwise complex family oriented. Good location to all amenities.

It was a super convienent condo. The master bed needs to be replaced... it is massively sagging. And there are some small bugs in the kitchen that should be taken care of.

Dangerous!

I was not notified of the dryer being a fire hazard. I could not use the dryer so that means I could not wash. The home had a mildew odor (stench). I think this was due to the carpet. I didn't feel as clean. The iron didn't get hot. A part of the refrigerator was broken, and the let out sofa was worn out.

We, the owners were the next persons to stay in our condo and saw the note that you left. We had the dryer repaired and that also took care of the mildew odor. It was not from the carpet. And we also had the refrigerator piece repaired. We appreciate feedback as we always listen and try to respond to any concerns our guests have as we strive to make their experience a wonderful vacation."

We booked this for a 4th of July weekend. It he location and property are just fine as I’ve stayed on it before. This time I wanted to take my golf cart down as they’re popular on the island and it makes it easier to get around. Also, there was a golf cart parade for the holiday. I sent numerous messages asking about bringing my small trailer and my golf cart but I never received a response. I went ahead and brought them as I’ve seen many there before. We get to the property and there were many golf carts and trailers. The property listing did not mention anything about this either. They were parked everywhere including the grass so I figured everything was fine. When it came time to charge my cart I ran extension cord below some bushes, along the edge and over a gap in the sidewalk. A couple hours later I received a voicemail as I was taking a nap. It stayed that this was a safety issue and needed to be removed immediately. I was then told by other people staying at the property that the ones who actually lived there were upset that people had brought golf carts and trailers. This is a vacation destination and people should be able to enjoy it as such. Luckily I was able to still use my cart with the amount of charge that we had. This could ruin someone’s time as many families enjoy this. Overall the place is fine to stay at and a central location to get to everything you need. Simply be aware of people not wanting you there as a vacationer/tourist. SSI is an amazing place.

From the owner: Hi Josh, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed the location which was perfect, near everything you needed.We spoke to Evolve to confirm your comments about not getting a response. They informed you that the golf cart questions needed to be directed towards the owner, as they could not have this information.On June 6, I sent you a welcome message which included my name and phone number. You never responded to that email message, nor did you send me a text message or call to ask about carts. If you had reached out, I would have told you that there was no place to plug in an electric cart. Dropping a cord over our deck and down and across the sidewalk is a tripping hazard, which was not ok as we do not want anyone to get hurt.We welcome renters in Ocean Walk, including those with golf carts, as long as you understand there is no place to plug them in on site, but I am told there are places offsite where you can plug them in or bring them fully charged.I regret your negative experience. I just wish you had contacted me because this could have been avoided. We do our best to take care of all our guests and their needs.

Soooo Great

We really enjoyed our vacation on Saint Simon Island, Georgia with it’s beautiful beaches with dunes and sea grass; great old trees with Spanish moss; good selection of restaurants; fun shopping; friendly people; nice neighbors; and small town atmosphere. This rental condo was comfortable, clean, and within close distance to what we wanted to do. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils needed for cooking and we were grateful to be able to do laundry too. The provision of beach chairs and sand toys saved us packing space. We plan to stay here again!

Great place for a short stay.

Condo was clean and located within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The complex was quiet and had two nice pools to enjoy. Will stay again in this complex.

Love our St. Simons family vacays

Great stay! This was our 2nd year at SSI and in this condo complex. We love it because of the pools and how close it is to both the pier and beach. The cleaning crew worked super fast to allow us to check in early, which was a major plus with kids. Having a washer/dryer is a must for a family vacay, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. The owners were kind and helpful with any questions. Looking forward to our next trip!

Return to the Island

I was back on SSI for my 40th high school reunion and of course, had to stay in old stomping grounds. The condo is so much nicer than the old apartment and Jeanne was a sweetheart with an issue I had. I recommend the condo whole heartedly! Perfect location for adults or families!

Our 2021 St. Simons trip!

It was everything we could have asked for. Having four little ones it was a very nice place to stay. Lots of things for the kids to do. Fishing, playing basketball, swinging, tennis. Lake to walk around and fish in. Would come back again!

Weekend Getaway

We went to St. Simon Island for a weekend getaway. Our accommodations were great and the condo was clean, well stocked and comfortable. It was also very convenient to the Village Pier location which had several shops and ice cream locations. The Pier provided a view of the St. Simon Sound where the "Golden Ray" ship was located and several individuals were crabbing and fishing. There were several benches located near the pier which offered one a chance to sit and experience the fresh air and hear the sound of the waves beating against the rocks. It was a refreshing weekend and I can't wait to go again because there was so much that I didn't get to see.

Weekend in St. Simon

My husband and I spent 4 nights in St. Simon at the apartment. The location was great for everywhere we wanted to go. We did not do any cooking at all, but the kitchen appeared to have everything we would have needed. It was clean and the master bed very comfortable. All instructions provided were very easy to follow and arriving late was no problem with the key in a lock box on the door. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Close to everything!

The check in was very easy. The condo is on the 2nd floor and located in the back of the complex with balcony facing the parking lot with a corner view of the tennis courts and pond. The kitchen was filled with more than I have seen in most rentals. The rooms were adequate in size. Only thing was the Master bed mattress was worn and sloped not comfortable. It is a short drive to the pier, gift shops and restaurants. The seafood is fresh and the people are welcoming. You can rent bicycles or ride the tour bus to see the town. Recommend going to Jekyll Island Driftwood Beach. Jodie, the Property Manager went above and beyond suggesting places to eat and things to do. Will stay again!

We loved staying at this property! It truly felt like home to us. Plenty of room to spread out and relax or join together for family time in the evening. Conveniently located to restaurants and other attractions. I would recommend these accommodations to everyone!!
