Home away from Home

The property was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The furniture and appliances were all in good shape and the decor was tastefully done. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely use this location again when in the area. The only negative was that it could use a few more bowls, we noticed later that some were being used to hold condiment packets.

Amherst NY Stay

The property is in a nice neighborhood with like houses. It’s decorated nicely, the bedrooms are spacious. Our main challenge was the lack of a dishwasher as we cooked meals before leaving for the day and one mirror in the house which made it tough to get ready to go out.

Family Gathering

Quiet, clean place that met our needs for a wedding and a family reunion. Beds are a bit firm, the bathroom is small, stairs to the front door are steep, and the TV didn’t have YouTubeTV. These are the only negatives I had. I’ll be using this location for future visits.

Visit to Buffalo

Overall the house is nice in a quiet neighborhood. There were some minor maintenance issues (closet doors off track, front screen door broken). Our main issue was that the bathroom was not properly cleaned before our arrival and only one washcloth for the 2 of us. Our contact was nice, but it took a couple of days to let us know how to access the garage. I would consider using this home again if they could take care of these issues.

Average Stay

The house looked recently renovated but had a musty smell when entering. Nicely furnished but no other furnishings in two of the three bedrooms. There was a bench in the master which was nice to put luggage on. Very small bathroom for three bedrooms. Nice washer and dryer, nice TV. Not close to any restaurants other than fast food. VERY large step from walkway into the house. We had a handicapped family member that had difficulty with the step. Landscaping was nonexistent. Tall grass and taller weeds. House was clean and met our basic needs.

We were surprised to read your review as neither we nor the cleaning team detected any odors either before or after your stay. -We use professional photographers so we can be sure that our images accurately reflect each property and guests can decide before booking if the decor and room size meet their expectations. -We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home prior to booking, but we apologize that this caught you off guard. -The listing does state that 2 steps are required for the main entry, but we are sorry if this caught you off guard. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs. We will notify the landscaper about the feedback, however, some of the unkept parts belong to the town and unfortunately they are not keeping up. We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback.

Dirty place, ignored by the renter

When we arrived, it was obvious that the sheets hadn't been washed — our rooms had gross, stained sheets with smudges on pillowcases. Fortunately, my folks (whom we were visiting) supplied us with clean sheets and pillowcases. In the bathroom, the toilet seat had a tiny hair on it (just one, but still…), and overall, it looked a little grimy. While there were sheets in the closets, we didn't want to chance using them after we witnessed the dirty ones. We cleaned the bathroom with cleaning materials, but after driving seven hours to get there, the last thing we needed was to change out the sheets and clean the bathroom. One of the closet doors immediately fell off its holder, too. I called the owner, left a message and later emailed her, but I never heard back from her. You could argue that it was the July Fourth weekend, but if you're renting your place, you could at least respond, even after the holiday. The kitchen was nice enough, but the living room had crumbs on the floor near the sofas. And, in the backyard, there were numerous garbage bags stacked together with numerous flies. We weren’t expecting a four-star hotel, just a clean place to stay and a response if there’s an issue (Buffalo was awesome, though).Based on the dirty conditions and the owner's lack of response, I don't recommend anyone renting his place. There’s no way you could convince us to return there.

nice rental property

The house was really cute and clean. However on the first night that we were there, we had some rain. Water was pouring in from the dryer vent in the laundry room next to the kitchen all over the floor. There was nothing to collect the water so we used a few of the bowls that were in the cupboard. Early in the morning I called the guest contact and got a voicemail I left a message and didn't get a reply. I then sent an email and still received no reply. I called again in the evening and got no reply. I then called Evolve and spoke to a representative and after sending pictures a handyman showed up . He had to go on the roof and tar all the vents on the roof since none had been tarred. He also repaired the front door and a broken towel rack in the bathroom. Our evening was ruined. We left some suggestions to the owners of the house tp help them with guests in the future. Other than this issue which was very disturbing, our stay was pleasant and I feel others will enjoy the stay.

We have contacted the person that had haphazardly done the work on the vents prior and related to them how their incompetence caused our guests much inconvenience. We also reminded our property manager to answer our visitor's concerns promptly. Please let us make it up to you if you consider visiting buffalo again. And thank you for patronizing us.

Great space

Loved the home! Looks exactly as photographed and very comfortable for a family of 5. Close to everything in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Suggestion, more mirrors needed as their only mirror is in the 1 bathroom. Also kitchen towels that can handle drying dishes. No complaints and would visit again
