The Space:
The house is a beautiful 3 bedroom + Study, 2-bathroom Queenslander on a quiet street in the suburb of Balmoral. Being right near Oxford Street but still in quiet suburbia gives you the best of both worlds. Spacious living, dining and kitchen areas, front and side deck with great views of the city skyline. Pool out the back and plenty of outdoor space for the children to play. There is also a two-space garage with automatic door. It is a bright, airy and fully furnished house with quality appliances and finishes. It is perfect for families who need space and a pool but would like to be close to everything. There are plenty of amenities for children aged from infants to older age. The house can accommodate up to 8 guests - Important Information: Please note the available bedding is subject to the number of people on the booking.

The house is located in Balmoral, which is part of three suburbs Bulimba, Balmoral & Hawthorne all bearing the 4171 postcode. East of Brisbane CBD by 3.2km as the crow flies. A short stroll down to the Oxford Street precinct and parks and only a couple of hundred metres to the closest petrol station. Schools: 350m from Bulimba State School and St Peter and Pauls school and only 1.65km from the impressive Lourdes Hill College. A picturesque neighbourhood only a stone’s throw from all that Brisbane has to offer.
Getting Around:
The city is a 10-minute drive away (not incl. peak hour) with Uber or a Taxi being quick and cheap ways to get around. 3km from Brisbane City, 5km from Southbank and South Brisbane.

Lovely and cozy home located in prime location
We had a family of six stay at this property and both the location and comfortableness of the home was fantastic.
The owners communicated extremely well with us from the beginning to the end. They were very lovely to deal with.
The home was clean and comfortable and we really felt at home staying here for our 8 night stay. The views from the deck are stunning and being so close to the city is a bonus.
We highly recommend this property and would most definitely stay again.
We thank the owners again for providing such a wonderful home for our family.

DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
We came from the Netherlands to Australia and our daughter had reserved this house for us.
When booking you will see beautiful pictures of the holiday home with a swimming pool. Unfortunately, the pool was dirty on arrival and the garden furniture broken.
Sorry for the inconvenience, we will send someone to clean etc.
Sucks, but it's no different. 2 days later it was "cleaned" and 2 new sun loungers. However, the chairs on the terrace were still broken and dirty, the nails were sticking out and we hurt ourselves.
There was also maintenance against bugs, termites, etc. during the week of our stay. Very annoying, a man on the floor for 2 hours and a lot of pesticide smell for the abundance of cockroaches.
Because they were fully booked, we could not stay 3 weeks in a row, but 2 x 1 week with 8 days in between, there was no discount for the 2nd part, because we had to book for a minimum of 7 days. So, pay 2 nights extra! The cleaning was minimal, the second time we came into the house the dead cockroaches were still in the same place as when we left after the first week and the dirty cloth on the cupboard in the bathroom was still there, stuff from the previous guests were still in lockers.
In the second week, the internet and television also did not work, which was only resolved after 3 days.
Accessibility of the rental company was poor, no response to our email, because it was not in their system.
For the money we paid for it I say: THE HOUSE IS NOT WORTH THE 5 STARS!!

Hi Phylia, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience with us as that is definitely not the service we would like to offer. Unfortunately there was nothing we could do about having a booking in-between your dates as that was confirmed before your stay and you never reached out to us regarding any discounts or questions about the nightly rate either. We were always quick to respond and rectify any issues, as you mentioned we replaced a broken chair within 2 days after it was identified broken. Regarding your other comments, we are very strict with our cleaners and will look into what cleaning issues there were during your stay as in your messages you did not mention anything either. We sent in pest control to make sure there are no issues with the property and as you mentioned there were a couple of pests around already so we wanted to take care of that as well. If you would like to send us a message with further details so that we can investigate more, that would be amazing.
