The house and neighborhood are even more beautiful than the photos! Had a wonderful time here with our family. The shops and grocery store are nearby and convenient, and the Mauna Lani Beach club access is such a perk. Would absolutely recommend!

Perfect vacation

This property was perfect for us. We had 5 adults and 3 children and we were all very comfortable. the house was lovely and very private and also right next to the swimming pool. The owners were great to communicate with.

We had a beautiful stay and PiH was so helpful whenever we had an issue or needed anything! Kitchen was well stocked, laundry detergent and soaps were available everywhere we needed, and they made renting extra baby equipment a breeze. They also had everything we needed for the beach! 4 star for cleanliness instead of 5 because one of the kitchen countertops appeared to not have been cleaned thoroughly when we arrived, but we wiped it down and had no other issues.

Loved the location!

Island Pearl fit our needs perfectly. Our family enjoyed the benefits of a big common backyard area. Lots of room for the little ones to run. We loved the closeness of the pool, as the path to it, was right off of our driveway.. We will return next year!

Amazing vacation

We had an amazing time, it was very central to the beaches and activities that we chose. My morning runs were great, easy access to coffee shops and the view around the property was amazing. A few steps from the pool for the kids was super helpful. Everything that we needed to go to the beach was provided: chairs, toys, towels. Thanks so much for having us stay at your property! I would definitely go again!

This was a great location for our family to stay with extended family. It easily fit all ten of us. The pool is right at the end of the driveway which was really convenient with kids. There was space for our family to eat inside and outside on the patio along with areas to sit back and relax. Each room had its own outdoor sitting area which allowed for quiet areas for our family to enjoy and have time apart when needed. The beach equipment was super helpful to entertain the kids. Any questions we had were immediately addressed. The beach club was really convenient and even had some great snorkeling as well. We highly recommend this location for other families traveling with extended family.

Perfection!

We could not have been happier with this property. It was perfect for our group (grandparents, adult children and children). Spotless with very comfortable beds, bathrooms with both shower and tub in all, very well equipped kitchen, lovely big shared lawn in back for the kids to run around in and amazing proximity to the lovely community pool. The beach equipment in the garage is ample -- snorkels, bikes, floaties, buggie boards, umbrellas plus ample beach towels. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

West coast family vacation

This property exceeded my expectations. Everything that we could have needed was provided. The condo was large enough to hold 10 of us comfortably. the amenities were spectacular, private beach, pool and jacuzzi directly beside condo. Grocery store property. we met some very friendly neighbors. My family will forever remember this vacation.

Fabulous

Our grand kids described the house as luxurious. We so enjoyed the snorkel gear and the boogie boards. When the ac broke down they came the same day to evaluate and then fixed it by the next day! Well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. Enjoyed by all. Perfect location. It was so private I didn’t realize it was a townhouse until we had been there 5 days.

Great Location and amenities

We had a great stay during our time on the Big Island. The property is right next to the pool, and very close to the shopping center. It was also a short walk to the fish ponds and the beach. The kitchen was well appointed for any of your cooking needs including appliances (rice cooker, blender, etc.). The property as a whole was very clean. My only complaint is that there were a fair number of ants found in the laundry room and kitchen. Do not leave any food out overnight or the ants will be all over it by morning. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Upon arrival, the property appeared as advertised. However, the first night, while boiling some pasta and my daughter in one of the showers, the water in the entire house turned off and an alarm began screeching. It was my son-in-law who finally was able to reset the alarm - 45 minutes later - to get it to stop and turn the water back on in the home. There wasn't nearly enough hot water for the 10-person occupancy advertised. Property management came over to increase the water temp in the water heaters and it was ok thereafter. The ice machine in the freezer didn't work - property management came over to fix that. Still didn't work nor did the entire freezer. Came back from the beach the next day to find a chest freezer plopped down in the living room. There weren't nearly enough dish towels in the kitchen. Two nights later, the same thing happened with the water in the house - total shut off, this time after the kids had gone to bed, so with the screeching alarm, woke them up crying. Main sliding door to the lanai would not open. By this time I requested that we be moved to another property. Didn't happen. So much for the "VRBO Guaranty!" Physically, the property appeared to be quite nice, functionally, it was a disaster. Would never stay here again, especially after the money we spent for a very nice place.

Nice place - well represented

The property was very much what we expected to find from the pictures and description on-line. It's a very nice neighborhood, centrally located in the Mauna Lani resort. Three large bedrooms provide equal comfort for three couples with no one needing to squeeze into a third bedroom meant for children. All of the bedrooms had their own bathrooms and king size beds. The furnishings are a bit bland, but the kitchen was well stocked with all of the appliances we needed and the grill came in very handy. The property is right next to the community pool, but fairly well protected from the noise coming out of the pool area. The property does have a fair amount of deferred maintenance. Some of the sliding doors would not lock, several of the closet sliders or shutters to the outside have come off their tracks so would not close or closed with difficulty and one of the sinks was backed up. However, overall it served us well. Everyone had a comfortable rook and we enjoyed the location. I would certainly come again.

Ant infestation, broken pool

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Overall the property had great potential, but it was a bad experience. Pool was broken and empty the entire trip. Site manager says it will take several months to fix. They gave a key to a pool you have to drive to and sneak in as you are not allowed to use it officially. And we were not even able to use it as the gate code was the wrong code. Ant infestation. There were “water ants” EVERYWHERE. If you went to the bathroom, you were risking having ants in your pants. 😂. Seriously tho, ants everywhere in all the bathrooms! Get into you clothes too. The snorkel gear provided was broken. No hot water in 2 of 3 showers. The A/C didn’t work for the first two days. Someone had to come over and open and close doors and trick they system to turn on. Problems they felt like fixing they took care of right away, others they just ignore your emails. The furniture is badly stained! “Gross” was my wife’s response. Beds are not comfortable, very old and used. I asked for a 20% refund with all of this and they are just ignoring me. I took pictures and videos of everything and will update with a Vimeo link when I’m back home. AVOID ALL “Paradise In Hawaii” (PiH) homes.

We pride ourselves on providing amazing homes and taking exceptionally good care of our guests. With over 400 five star reviews (see examples at VRBO 577859, 855430, 841545 , 864723, 864723 and 850225) . The claims made by this individual are simply untrue. The beds are all brand new (Aug'2017), the pool was only down for servicing a few days (which we provided access to alternate pool), the showers worked fine (brand new bathroom renos done Sept 2017), there were no signs of bugs any time we were called out, the AC worked fine (except they were constantly leaving the doors open) and the beach gear was all new (Sept'2017). We live in the area and have staff onsite every day. We responded every time this individual called/texted/emails regardless of false claim after false claim. In the end it was clear the goal was to harass us to the point they would get a heavily discounted vacation.

The Perfect House!

The updates of the home, the size of the rooms and bathrooms, the amenities included, the view outside, the proximity to the pool complex, and all the little extras made our stay so pleasurable! I would stay here again 😊

Amazing vacation rental

The rental was amazing. Beautiful location and spacious right next to the pool and hot tub. Best out of all our stays through VRBO. Tried to book it again for December but it was full. This would be our go to spot for out getaways. Great hosts ♥️

Lovely stay on the Big Island

This was a wonderful place to stay for our family of 5. The pictures do not do it justice. So much room for all of us, a fully equipped kitchen with high end appliances, right next to the pool and short drives to the most beautiful beaches. We didn't figure out we were walking distance to the cute shops until the end of our stay but could have done a morning stroll for coffee each day. Very comfortable with all of the amenities you could ask for. Mahalo!

Great family friendly stay!

We had a great stay at the island pearl villas! The location was fantastic- right next to the pool and in short walking/driving distance to amazing beaches. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances/gadgets and the beds were all comfortable. The only issue we ran into was in regards to the cleanliness. There were small bugs in the kitchen on the counter next to the sink and we found clothes from the previous stay upon arrival. One of the pull out beds also appeared to have not been cleaned. Regardless for the price and location we had a fantastic time and would stay again.

Great stay for a family!

My family and I stayed here for a couple of nights; great location and really nice pool! It's a wonderful space and perfect for a family. The access to the private beach club was perfect as well!! We would definitely stay here again!
