Summary:
4/3 Beach front home located on the sound end of Cape San Blas, just steps from the beach.

The Space:
Life at the beach is relaxed and laid-back, Family Tides offers the perfect place to rest your head after a long day.


This gulf front four bedroom, three bath home is located at the south end of the cape in Money Bayou. The top floor of the home features an en suite King bedroom and double doors lead to a covered deck for breathtaking sunset views! 


The main floor features a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, toaster oven, four-burner flat-top stove, and a dishwasher. A spacious bathroom with a shower and bathtub combination is located just off the main room.


Family Tides is a non smoking unit, and is pet friendly for an additional fee. (dogs only please) Bookings through a third party site (VRBO), will have this fee added onto your reservation at the office.

This unit rents for a full week during peak season and holiday weeks.

Bring your furry friends along! This pet-friendly property warmly welcomes dogs for an additional fee of $150 per dog (maximum of two). Breed approval required—contact the office for details.

Last summer trip

House was okay. The owner's need to check their house and do some up grades. The refrigerator wasn't working when we first arrived. We waited until next day to make sure it wasn't just us loading our food the day we arrived. It wasn't, but management sent out a tech and he fix the fridge. The handle on the stove was broken! They are in need of more silverware.All beds but master bed are old and squeeky, need replacing.Just very frustrating to pay as much money as we did and the house not be up to expectations.Disappointed!

Beautiful Location

Location was great. We collected beautiful shells and saw dolphins a couple of the days. The outside shower only had hot water and the shower head was quite leaky. We ended up using the hose on the deck to spray/wash off after beach time. Some kitchen items (bowls, silverware) were dirty when we went to use them. Some small appliances could be updated and/or be present (coffee maker took a long time to brew coffee, there was no toaster). The drains were slow in the showers. We didn’t bring a pet, but animal hair was found throughout the house. The TVs in two of the bedrooms didn’t have a signal, so you would need to bring an Xbox or something to connect an HDMI cable to to watch something on the TV. We feel some updating or maintenance improvements would be beneficial. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Our one concern was the lower bunk "bedroom". We did not know this room did not have air conditioning and was uncomfortable at night. We had to buy a couple of fans to compensate.

Will not stay here again!

Property wasn’t clean when we finally got the keys around 5:15. Had to leave after a 13 hour drive with kids so that it could be somewhat cleaned. The floors was so nasty. No decent broom for us to sweep n No dustpan. Not kid friendly nail sticking up on top bottom stairs, outside outlet not safe, ice maker didn’t work (spent extra money buying ice), grill didn’t work (spent extra money buying charcoal n lighter fluid) ants everywhere, upstairs shower didn’t drain, walkway to the beach is not safe for kids.

2021 Family Memories @ Family Tides

We were able to take our dogs to the beach for the first time, which is a happy memory we will always have. Our 2 adult girls (20 & 25) came with us, and also throughly enjoyed the stay. The rental was on the beach with a nice view, with only a short walk to beach. No crowds. The rental had a total of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms but only 2 showers, large open area with livingroom, large kitchen table, and kitchen with bar seating. Nice deck to watch sunrise and horseback riding on beach. Great location. Just past the turn off to Cape San Blas, so easy to horseback riding on beach, ice cream, small groceries, and some shopping. Also close to Port St Joe for Restaurants & more shopping & groceries. Costal Joe Vacation Rentals was the best and easiest rental company I have ever worked with. They were friendly, helpful, honest, and on top of everything. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect beach house!

Our group of 11 (ages 6-73) had an amazing stay! The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beach was perfect! We loved how private the beach was…we had plenty of space for wiffle ball games, frisbee, etc!

House is well equipped for a large family. The bed in Master needs to be replaced as does the dishwasher. The property is sufficient for 11. The property is nice but could be much nicer given then rental price point with a little TLC.

Great Beach, Great Property

Really unique beach—pets, horse riding, fires. We saw dolphins hunting right in the surf. The home is perfectly located and provided perfect access to the beach. Great for kids, pets, and family. Highly recommend staying here and visiting the beach.

Fun to have board walk to beach

Great house right on the beach. Not quite on the cape which was disappointing for bikes (no bike path on the highway) but still a great location. We enjoyed coffee and dinner on the porch looking at the ocean. House meet all the basic needs but lacked any extra comfort items (no trash cans or reading lampsin bedrooms, no dresser or Closet in one of the bedrooms). We had a issue with flying ants in the house but they didn’t ruin our stay.
