This property was unique with amazing views. It was very well stocked with games. Our frustration was with the responses from the host. The six of us arrived less than 15 minutes to 4pm on a rainy day having climbed the stairs with luggage. With a daughter who is a double amputee, we asked if they could open the door the 15 minutes before so she didn’t have to stand for fifteen minutes or go back down. By the time they responded, it was about 7 minutes to 4pm and they said they would have to charge us 30 to open early if it was okay with the cleaning people. Also, when we informed them of a dirty bed and sheets, they just apologized. Given their hefty cleaning fee and the fact we had to wash the sheets, this was not acceptable. It was not a very pleasant vacation experience.

The house has an awesome view! However be prepared to walk ALOT of stairs. It’s not called a treehouse for nothing.My family is in various construction fields and we’re impressed with how the house was built and the photos that showed some of the process. We encouraged other family members to come over and look. Incorporate the home uniqueness and the view it was a really great stay. We had the deck door open for our bedroom every night and you could hear the ocean which was very peaceful.

Was a bit warm, most of the windows cannot be opened and there isn’t air conditioning. Wish there were some box fans for our use to keep some airflow going beyond just the two balcony doors.Had a great time though. The house is nice, the views amazing, and the location is perfect with a couple minute walk to the beach and couple minute drive to anywhere in town.

The property had a fabulous view and easy access to the beach. There was plenty of extra towels and bedding. The kitchen had a good assortment of dishes, pots, and pans. The kids loved the loft area.The dishwasher was broken-if you didn’t watch out, you could break some toes when the door slammed to the floor. It also leaked ALOT of water. Additionally, be prepared for it to take all day to dry your clothes in the dryer.While it has a great view and location, I sure hope the owners invest in some improvements in the home soon.

Great views! Great house. Would stay again. Just wish there was a little dumbwaiter to get stuff up and down. Soooo many stairs! Haha. Made for a great workout though!!

Very beautiful property. Was told there are 3 parking spots when there is barely 2. I parked a Excursion and a Accord and needed to move each before anyone could get in, or even un-pack/ pack. There are about 62 stairs to get to the front door. I probably would have picked something different due to having 2 knee surgeries previously. Some of the steps are slanted/ a little crooked. Windows are screwed down due to potential fall hazard ( I get it but still a bummer ) Resistive heaters, no cooling. My wife twisted her ankle pretty bad. Everything else is incredible and would highly recommend for anyone who has no lower extremity issues. Property management is amazing.

I want to start by saying that I’ve gone to the coast at least once a year for the last 10 years and have never left a bad review. I don’t expect perfection, but this stay had so many issues, and the lack of communication from Meredith Lodging made it incredibly frustrating.I was offered early check-in for 50 at 12:00 PM. I agreed, but after they charged my card, they told me check-in would be at 2:00 PM instead. Not a huge deal, but frustrating to pay that much for just two extra hours.While packing, I heard my 3-year-old screaming and found that she had slipped and fallen in a pool of water in the living room caused by rain leaking through the sliding glass door. I immediately messaged Meredith Lodging asking for a mop. They said they’d get back to me but never did. We had no choice but to use towels to clean it up. Later, we discovered the TVs didn’t work. I messaged them again—no response.The house swayed noticeably, making all of us feel uneasy. I reached out again—still no reply. At this point, I called VRBO directly, and they were able to get Meredith Lodging on the phone. They told me they would send maintenance. The next morning, the maintenance man arrived, only aware of the TV issue. When I showed him the leak, he found a large hole on the upper deck and said, “We have a big problem.” He documented it and assured me that Meredith Lodging would follow up. They never did.Beyond these major concerns, the house was dirty, had an ant infestation (with old ant t

Beautiful views with a workout

The 62 stairs into the house are no joke! But by the end of our 3 night stay, we all felt it got easier. The driveway is a little tricky to park 2 SUVs but we figured it out. The kids loved the loft views and played a few of the games there. The kitchen had the utensils and cookware needed for meals. The beds were comfortable and showers were warm. The house stayed warm and cozy even when the rain storm hit. It really feels like we were above the trees! We would definitely stay again if the price is right.

Great place, stairs are crazy!

Great stay other than not being able to get the outlets to work in the bathrooms and the house was very clean but wreaked of fish as though someone had cooked fish in it just before we got there. The stairs are a killer but the cardio was good for us! The house constantly sways and moves which was a little creepy!

Nice beach house lot's of stairs.

We arrived at the house and the key code didn't work to get in the house. Had to call off site to get a new code. The living room furniture was not what was shown in pictures and very uncomfortable. The bedrooms did have comfortabl beds, house itself was beautiful with a great view.

Comfortable beds

The beds were comfortable. The couches not so much. Railings are wood and need cleaning, as they are full of sticky dirt residue. There are ALOT of stairs. The listing is correct at about 62 going up to the front door. Be wary of the last 5 stairs at the top on your way up as slant enough that you can slip if not hanging on. There are 3 levels on the inside with stairs up and down. Not recommended if you or your party has any physical limitations or issues with exertion.The last set of stairs to the front door are steep. The curtains on the master are quite transparent in the bedroom and bathroom. No shower in master but there is a lovely clawfoot tub. There is a beautiful view of the ocean where the sofas are and a tiny deck for 1-2 people as well. When we arrived about 2 hours after checkin our code did not work, we called the number from the text and they provided a new code.

Vacation stay

The door code didn’t work and the water didnt work on the bathtub. But they fixed both things quickly. The major complaint is I had to track down the business that owned the property to get help; trying to contact them through vrbo is super hard.

Beautiful views

Walking distance to the beach, the house was centrally located. Very clean, equipped with everything we needed. The only downside is the stairs. I do not recommend for anyone who will have a hard time climbing stairs.

Love the view. Interesting, functional floor plan. Not enough detail regarding stairs that need to be traversed each and every time you go somewhere. I didn't find the current description to be very helpful. Some warning is fair. Overall, we found the property to be clean and welcoming. Very easy to care for. We really enjoyed the occasional gull landing on the main floor deck railing. Oh, the faucet in the master bath leaves much to be desired. Too short to make the sink very functional at all. Overall, a great experience and home.

Excellently done

Overall a lovely stay just a stone's throw from the beach. The children loved the loft area! The access code didn't work but they were quick to solve this with access to keys on the property. A beautiful property with plenty of games to play. Unfortunately the kids and their ages didn't allow for it. Overall, greatly appreciate the location and proximity to a supermarket and the beach

Beautiful but…

Beautiful views and location but we didn’t read carefully enough to the details. The house is definitely up in the trees so a 64 stair climb straight up from the parking was first thankfully we didn’t have elders that could not make the climb but took us several trips with luggage was very challenging. Master bedroom was very beautiful but each bed in all bedrooms was like sleeping on rock hard slab not comfortable at all I’m afraid. But we did love the views and our time together. We stayed up til midnight working on a puzzle loads of fun. Kitchen could be a little more stocked with basics salt pepper mustard ketchup

Memorable ocean views from a cozy home

The treehouse is a perfect getaway space. You must be able to climb a steep staircase, but the ocean views are worth it! This house is super clean, and very close to the beach. There are many reasonably priced restaurants and fun shops in the area.
