Detta rymliga hus sover 10 gäster (vuxna och tonåringar) i sängar och 8 barn 11 år gamla och under, på soffa sovplatser eller i en spjälsäng. Du kommer inte att vilja lämna vårt stora hus vid stranden, bara några steg bort från den 26: e Ave Beach. Den 2900 Sq. Ft. och ett däck som sträcker längden av huset för ännu mer utrymme att njuta i solen, ljudet av vågorna, och hav vindar.
Avkopplande utsikt över Monterey Bay från däck, matsal, kök och från vardagsrummet och sovrummet, som båda har välvda tak. Vardagsrum och matrum har gaskaminer. Luta på soffan eller befälhavaren svit king size-säng och njuta av havsutsikten -sail båtar på dagen, färgstarka solnedgångar från kvällen.
Promenad på stranden och utforska tidvattnet pooler. Ta med din vatten leksaker, det är bra surfing, boogie och skumma ombordstigning. Sitta och titta på sjölejon och uttrar i de närliggande kelp sängar, och delfiner och valar när de går förbi. Njut av vår varma utomhusdusch för att skölja bort sanden innan du hoppar in i den varma spa.
Rida en av våra flera cyklar för en naturskön cykeltur längs East Cliff Drive till Capitola eller norrut genom stränder, hamnen och på Santa Cruz. Kom ihåg att ta dig hjälmar.

Great location, though be prepared to deal with some issues.

We had bathroom issues in 2 of the bathrooms, and one of the washers/dryers were not working. Additionally, I was told in advance that some of the pull out couches were broken. I did not get any follow up info if they were fixed, so one of the guests had to do quite a bit of guess work to find a bed to sleep in over our stay. I also had to cancel my plans the day after thanksgiving due to some aggressive calls from the owner to let someone in to inspect the broken washer/dryer. It frightened my mom, who was the only person staying at the house at the time, and then called me to tell me that it somehow it was her fault that she decided not to let a stranger into a home that we were renting. Location is great though. One minute from beach.

House has a great layout, plenty of room. Fully stocked kitchen. We could see whales breaching while we had coffee on the balcony. Steps away from the beach. We had a wonderful time!

Lovely views, convenient to a lovely beach

The property was a little dated for the price but very comfortable and with plenty of room for our family of 10 (assorted ages). Lots of plates and glassware. Had some trouble with the stove. Large table and plenty of chairs, again with a lovely view. The beach is great, not too crowded despite being small, and very handy to be able to nip back to the house for snacks, etc.

Great location, clean home that was well-stocked

Overall we had a nice stay. However, when we arrived we had no idea how to access the house and were not given any instructions on how to get inside. I messaged the host multiple times (email, VRBO app, etc.) and (still) never heard back. After waiting 2+ hours my husband finally found a window to crawl through to get in. The house is in very good shape for how old everything is. It was also very clean but when we arrived had an awful cleaner smell that took a while to get rid of. It is well-stocked with lots of great things like bikes and wetsuits and the hot tub is nice to have as well. The location is great and it has lots of parking. Communication with the host is challenging so if you can deal with that along with 1960's style decor then it's a great place to rent.

Great Beach House!

We had a great time staying at this house! The location was wonderful...secluded yard and proximity to beach! Each day had just enough low tide hours to get out there and play in the water. We brought our own wetsuits and boogie boards, though the house did offer a few options. The hose to rinse sand off was so convenient. The hot tub and fireplaces were perfect for warming up after the beach. A television in the upper living room would have been nice since it gets pretty dark up there when the sun goes down. The bikes were in pretty rough condition, but I was still able to ride one up to some shops. That was fun! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves here.

We liked the house a lot and it's location was good, too. We were charged for anyone who visited while we were there. We had two family members who were only there for one afternoon/evening, which seems weird. Some close friends wanted to visit for a few minutes, but didn't because we didn't want to get charged more. One of our anticipated family members, couldn't come and we had a friend visit for less than an hour. So that should even out, but we don't know yet. When we arrived the lock box didn't work and it took us almost a half hour to get it to work with the host being on the phone instead of on site. The contract said be there by 4:00 but he wasn't there. The TV in the house didn't work either. Good: We really liked the house for the size of our family and the location was lovely. We had access to the Two-Six beach and a great view from the deck on the second floor of the house. Lot's of sleeping and being space and we never felt that we were on top of each other. The kitchen was great and well supplied from pans to coffee cups! There were two refrigerators, which kept us from running home for stuff or shopping a lot! There was space in the garage for some craft work needed to complete some gifts, and wrapping space throughout the house. I would recommend the house for a large family, including dogs. I would rent it again if the price was reduced a bit (lots of weird charges) and the two things were fixed.

Cool, sunny days in Santa Cruz

What a wonderful week. We were only steps from the beach. The weather was cool but sunny, a wonderful reprieve from triple digit weather at home. The house was spacious with lots of nooks for privacy and open space for fellowshipping!!! It was well furnished with everything we needed to cook in the kitchen, play at the beach and entertain ourselves. Ping pong was popular!!!! We even managed a few bike rides, exploring Pleasure Point. One interesting glitch was the Wharf to wharf race taking place just as we were preparing to depart. The street was closed until 10:30, a bit of an inconvenience for one of our party who wanted to leave early. But overall it was a terrifc family vacation.

Wonderful Place for a vacation

The property is simply lovely, ocean views are featured from the entire upstairs. The house was so well furnished, plenty of everything you could need, and you can't beat the location with a beach just steps away. Jean was very nice and helpful, all in our family Thanksgiving agreed that it was the perfect place for a get together

Great beach home!

The location was great! It was an easy walk to the beach for all of us ranging in ages from 2.5 years old to 81. The house has amazing views! It was very spacious with all the amenities and more. We were so thankful the owner was willing to share her home with us.

Great location and well equipped

The house was great for our needs. I only gave it 4 starts because the hot tub was out, and needed repair. We had booked it partly because of that. We have 3 small children and the house was so well equipped for beach activities- even had a stroller. The interior is older but well kept up. Jean was amazing over the phone. She offered local restaurant suggestions and was very accommodating and friendly

Great place!

We stayed here for a family wedding that was in Soquel. We had 4 different households (10 ppl) ranging in age from a 1 year old to 60 year olds. Overall the location can't be beat, it's a huge house and lots of room to spread out. The house is one in from a great beach and there are awesome views from the kitchen and living room. It's close to Capitola and was only 15 mins from the wedding venue. The only tiny minor comment is that there are lots of random rules posted throughout the house which seem a little overboard-- for example the bathtub drain has "for owner use only" written in sharpie marker. They also request that you wash 4 loads of towels upon check out which I have never seen at a vrbo, especially with a very hefty cleaning fee that seems like a big ask. Anyway, that aside it was awesome and highly recommend the house!

Nice place but Be Aware of the logistical requirements & phone calls on front end

I come from a family of Vacation Rental owners & we are world business travelers, and I must say the place has a lovely location for large groups. (Our cap was 10 adults.) Having a view of the Pacific Ocean is always welcoming to the eyes. But for the money we were spending I was disappointed that the bedroom closet door hinges were off its rails, several light bulbs were burnt out ... including in the shower where we needed to use it at night, (not good when you have an business event to get ready for ), so I would have thought this place should be ready to go in all aspects. Also, as a business traveler, I like the booking process and arrangements to be simple and streamlined, so I was surprised at the third party protocols and logistics of phone calls and paper work that I would have to go through because technically the city likes its vacation owners to treat the guest stays in the form of a rental agreements, and thus, the process was getting long and arduous. Had I known I would have to go through this process, had I been warned, I think for our needs and scenario, I would have passed on this location. I have stayed at plenty of other places before, where the the city/county requires this rental agreement status but I never felt like I had to jump through so many logistical hoops and phones calls working with a third entity arrangement. However, if you don't mind going through this, the place is absolutely lovely, and I can see where families and visiting guests might really enjoy this. The accommodations are great and there are many ways the home makes up for the logistical requirements of this place. Parking is amazing and there is a security gate that hugs around the premises. So I recommend to VRBO travelers to ask questions of the host before you book, and know what you need out of this VRBO space before booking.

Beach Family Getaway

Our family had a great, relaxing stay at this Santa Cruz house. The location is great, one house away from the beach. It was great to walk down to the beach with our kids and be close to the house. The outdoor shower was also great for everyone to wash off from the beach (with warm water). The hot tub was great to enjoy after spending the day at the boardwalk and the beach with the kids. Owner and local property contact were very friendly and responsive.

Amazing location at the beach

The house is in the perfect location, one house off the beach! They make the sleeping arrangement really flexible with making the beds into kings or twins. Lots of great additions to the house - bbq, ping pong tables, bikes, etc.

This property is owned and managed by a single family, and this is our only vacation rental.
We are a family of 4th/5th generation Californian's who grew up visiting Santa Cruz for family vacations and romantic get-aways. In 2007, while visiting the beach on just such a trip, we saw this beach house for sale and bought it! Our dream was to be able to visit Santa Cruz overnight periodically throughout the year, and have a space big enough for our family to come together and enjoy the beach.
We would not be able to maintain the costs of owning the property without short-term vacationers like you, and we are grateful for the chance to share our lovely beach home and the joy it has brought our family.

The house is literally a 20 second walk to beach access, and within 2 blocks on either side there are other beach access points. Within a 5 minute walk there is a trail to go for walks with dogs, and the Live Oak Farmer's Market is just a 2 minute drive. There amazing options close by for surfing, recreational runners, bicyclists, hikers, and bird watching. Fine dining and shopping is just minutes away, as well as cafes, thrift stores, and tasty hole-in-the-wall eateries.
