This property is located a few blocks from the beach and downtown area of Pacific Beach. It is a quieter neighborhood with many residents having lived there for a number of years.

You will have access to the whole apartment!

Great location for Pacific Beach vacation!

The walk to the beach everyday was awesome! We didn't have to worry about driving or parking, it was all in a walkable distance. There are plenty of choices for eating, relaxing, and entertainment. Of all the places we ate, our favorite was the Duck Dive. They had the best Black & Bleu Steak Salad and Steak and Lobster Tail!! I highly recommend eating here.

Bed comfortable...quiet neighborhood...easy to communicate with owners... kitchen fairly well stocked... shower good...more shelves and / or hooks would have been nice...we had fun staying on Missouri St.

Small but very nice

Everything went well. Did not use the kitchen so I cannot comment on it. Shower was fine, only one episode of decreased water pressure but only lasted for a brief moment. The only thing I have to negatively comment about was the property was initially really warm but I was easily able to cool it down with the fans provided and opening the windows. Thanks for an easy stay.

Another great stay

This is our second time at this property and we were greeted by a new couch and loveseat and an expanded, private side yard. The hosts could not be more gracious. There was a heat wave moving through the area and they made sure we could sleep comfortably by having extra fans available and even a portable air conditioner. A mechanical issue arose during our stay and our hosts jumped right on it. They kept in contact throughout the entire process to assure we were not inconvenienced by the repair and even offered us access to another property during the repair, which only took a few hours. The location is fantastic! The neighborhood is quiet, but you are blocks from the beach and only a few blocks from restaurants, bars and shops. A perfect little getaway spot!

No hot water

After a day out doors in sunnny So Cal I returned to shower and find that there was no hot water. I contacted the host they texted me a video showing me how to position the handle in a particular position such that hot water would flow. By the video they sent had knowledge of the problem but still listed the property without a proper fix?? Not honest. They claimed that they had a technician out the second day of my stay. Returned to the same problem…. They said that maybe the neighbor used all the hot water?? Really???

Nice place close to the beach

The property is a duplex that is shared by a permanent tenant. It is well appointed and fits two people adequately. Only complaints are the walls are a bit thin, the back door had the window slider backwards (so someone could open it from the outside) and the Keurig coffee pot was broken. The host was quick to communicate and apologized for the issues. I had no issues finding street parking. There is a separate outdoor seating area that you can use that is not pictured in the photos.

Beach Side

Pacific Beach Getaway was a cute one-bedroom duplex on a residential street about 1/2 miles from the beach. The owners were responsive however the duplex needs a great deal of repair. There was a window fan that was very loud and not terribly effective, the toilet is very low, the hot water in the shower is hard to regulate, the bathroom sink is small and doesn't allow for items to be placed there, the mattress on the bed slides into the middle. These are items that need attention.

The bed was so soft that we both couldnt sleep and the wife moved to the couch. The portable A/C was noisy and ran all night. We paid for 2 nights and left after the first night and stayed at a nice hotel.

PB Stay

Great location, quiet neighborhood away from the noise and business of Pacific Beach. Very close walk to the beach with a lot in walking distance. Host was great with communication the entire time.

Great Location, Very Cute Bungalow

This bungalow (1/2 single story duplex) was the perfect place to stay as a single traveler. It was on a lovely street, very near the beach, and close to many restaurants, bars, and retail establishments. It was very quiet at night. Free on Street parking, perfectly sizes living room, eat in kitchen, nice bedroom with tv, and small bathroom with a very large shower. Very clean. Terrific communication with host family. Loved my stay.

Convenient location, well equipped, very clean

This was an excellent and comfortable place, very convenient to the beach and restaurants. Parking was never an issue. I had no complaints or problems.

Clean and cozy

Quick bike ride to beach. Very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. It was very hot when we are there and the portable air conditioner didn't work during the day but cooled it off overnight. Owners were quick to answer my questions.

Great place, great price, short walk to the beach.

We stayed with our 2 year old and had a great trip. It was more expensive to get a hotel room in the area in mid-July, and this had the added bonus of the living space and kitchen. The other reviews about issues with the water and AC are accurate; however, management seems well aware and was communicative so we didn’t really have any issues. Highly recommend!

Quaint

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was just as listed and the manager was attentive/responsive to our questions. Our only concerns would be the water pressure and wait time for hot water. It's a duplex and it seemed if the neighbor was using water we barely got a trickle. Seemed to take a long while to get hot water at any faucet but it did eventually show up. Overall it was a great place in a quiet neighborhood.

Great Location

This place was good but we had issues with the hot water. The kitchen and bathroom sink had cold/warm water and the shower had mostly cold. The rental management company 'Select Stays' told us (and sent us a picture) that if we put the shower handle in this particular position we would eventually get hot water. It worked some of the time. A previous renter also had the same issue and unfortunately I rented this property before I saw their comment. Make sure the hot water is working before you rent this place.
