Vårt hus är en lätt promenad till stranden, och du kan promenera ner till strandpromenaden eller Washington Street Mall.
Cape May är en idealisk plats att cykla. Ta din och rida till Sunset Beach eller på stan. Fågelskådning vid Cape May Point State Park, en birder paradis som helst på året.
Vårt hus byggdes i Frog Hollow-kvarteret Cape May av Jeremiah Mecray 1907 och ägs av oss sedan 1968. Nya uppgraderingar inkluderar nytt kök, AC / värmeenheter, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, nymålade rum och exteriör, nya fönster och ombyggd utomhusdusch med byteområde.
Detta vilsam, bekväma lägenhet har fyra sovrum, två på 2: a våningen och två på 3: e våningen som rymmer upp till åtta gäster, två fulla bad, komplett kök / matsal, vardagsrum med platt-TV, DVD / video, kabel, och gratis WiFi. En kolgrill är tillgängliga att använda i trädgården. Vi har klädstreck att hänga dina strandhanddukar och parkering i uppfarten eller fri parkering på gatan. Ingången till lägenheten är genom en privat sida trappa.
Vår familj har delat Cape May Vacation House med uthyrningsgäster i 50 år och alla ansträngningar har gjorts mot våra gästers komfort.

Great location and wonderful home.

Although there were a bunch of steps it wasn’t hard to navigate at all. We were comfortable and had plenty of space. Excellent location and so close to the beach! The owner and his daughter could not have been nicer! Would definitely stay here again.

Great house!

It was a great house and location to the beach and mall. Very clean and the hosts are very nice/accommodating! The only thing was that we wished the kitchen table was bigger and updated for everyone to be able to sit together. Otherwise it was a fabulous week and plenty of space for everyone!

Great location

The property is exactly as pictured and described. The stairs weren't as crazy as some other reviewers have commented, and we had 2 babies under the age of 2. The location was ideal, close to the beach and town!

Great visit!!

We had a wonderful time in this comfortable Cape May home. Location could not have been better-easy walk to beach and shopping area through a lovely residential neighborhood. It had everything needed for our family-beach chairs, well stocked cozy kitchen, beautiful patio, comfy bedrooms. The hosts were quick to communicate any time we had a question and were a pleasure to work with. Lots of stairs-so may not be appropriate for everyone.

Great Location! Cool House!

819 Benton is a great location for a Cape May vacation! The beach, strolling along Washington Steet Mall, restaurants, historic spots, bike rentals, ice cream, even the Acme supermarket are only a few minutes walk away. The house is a perfect blend of modern beach house and cool Cape May! We had a great week!

Great location

My family of four recently rented this property. The location is perfect, so close to everything but nice and quiet as well. Having my two young teens with their own rooms and bathroom on the third floor was a great bonus for us! The kitchen was nicely equipped and check in and check out was a breeze. The owner is very responsive.

Perfect

We had the most wonderful week in this rental. The AC is amazing and kept the entire unit crisp and cool during the heat wave. Very clean, very responsive and kind hosts. Steps up to the unit are not as bad as some reviews state in my opinion, even for my older mother with knee problems. Perfect location close to the beach and town center. Beautiful outside area and a lot of parking! Thanks for a great week!

Great location

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s a short walk to the beach, close to the action too. The kitchen is updated and boasts lots of storage. Another plus is the outdoor shower. 1 parking spot is available in the driveway and there was always street parking in front of the house as well. The owners were easily accessible for a quick question.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We had a little trouble with the AC when we first arrived, but figured out the issue and had no problems the rest of the week. The owner was very responsive. The place was very clean and the kitchen was absolutely beautiful and certainly suited our needs. We realized a gas grill might have been more efficient than the charcoal grill and an area to sit and eat outside would have been nice, but other than that, we had a really wonderful experience and would definitely consider coming back!!

Very cozy and practical

This was our first stay at this place but our 3rd vacation to Cape May. We were 2 couples with each 2 kids (total of 8). The appartment was perfect for us. Each family had it's own bathroom. We were very satisfied with everything in place. We would definitively return.

Review

The rental process and communication was easy. Only issues were minor....the saloon style doors in the upstairs bedrooms didn't leave for much privacy. The tub in the upstairs bathroom drained very slowly. Overall though, we enjoyed the stay, location, and house. We'd rent from there again.

We purchased this property to allow our family to come and vacation in Cape May. Over the years family and friends have gathered to enjoy visiting with each other in beautiful Cape May.
We have discovered some of the history of the house. The house was built by Jeremiah E. and Rachel Mecray in 1907. Jeremiah owned and sub-divided the entire block which is bordered by Benton Avenue, Franklin Street, Sewell Avenue and Jefferson Street.
The entire parcel of land cost $4250 in the early 1900s! This house seems to be one of the first that was built on the block. As you travel around the block you may notice several that have a similar style of architecture.
