A lovely 2 bed cottage in a super location just off Highway 1. You can be anywhere on the Monterey Peninsula within 20 minutes. Nice large comfy beds, nice bathroom & shower and a well equipped kitchen. There is a large living area and dining area also.Check in and out was very simple and Alice was very helpful and flexible when we had to amend our booking.Would definitely recommend and is excellent value for money.

Such a fun stay!

We had the best time in Carmel! The house is located less than 3 minutes from the main hub downtown and also very close to the main highway leading through Big Sur. The home was comfortable and clean!

Nice location. The patio/deck was very challenging. The motion light didn’t stay on line enough. No outdoor light at the front door. Inside was fabulous. Outside was run down. Overall nice place.

Lovely Carmel Retreat

We loved our girls weekend get away at this cozy home. Perfect location, just minutes to downtown and the beach. The home is on a quiet street and we were surrounded by trees and a sense of tranquility.

Lovely Carmel Home!

I was looking for a close home to spend the Labor Day weekend for my wife's 50th birthday and this more than fit the need. Alice was a joy to deal with, her home is a beautiful, clean, well kept, quiet, relaxing space for anyone looking to get away. Comfortable beds, great deck, and for anyone who likes to read, there is a broad library to review. Would highly recommend and on our next trip down we will be looking to take advantage of staying here again.

A lovely second stay

We stayed at this property two years ago and were delighted to have an equally wonderful experience again. Alice is a responsive, flexible host with excellent communication and the house is so cozy, well appointed and clean. It rained a lot during our visit so it was especially nice to have a comfortable house to cook in and cocoon in! The location is very convenient to all the area's sites. Highly recommend and we hope to stay again.

Charming and great location

Nicely appointed home. Comfortable beds. Great kitchen with lots of utensils, bowls etc. Lovely yard. Outdoor seating. Living room spacious and lots of books to read! Very clean. Easy drive to Monterey, Los Lobos State Park, grocery store, Carmel by the Sea. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfy stay in Carmel

Very comfortable stay in Alice’s home. It was well equipped with everything we needed. There are a lot of books to read and plenty of places to sit at the dining table, patio or sofas. The home was in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. The only thing to keep in mind is that since it’s on the other side of the highway, you really can’t easily walk into town, so you’ll need to hop in your car and drive a few minutes to get to downtown.

Alice's house is comfy and cozy. It is in a quiet, residential community, but only about 10 minutes''' drive from downtown. She has it well equipped for any and all meals you might want to prepare. Also, she has at least 100 books on many shelves throughout the house. Great reading! The Wi-Fi works great. We thoroughly enjoyed our "sister's getaway" and would definitely come back. Thank you, Alice!!

The house had everything we needed and is close enough to downtown Carmel that we could walk there; but far enough away that we had peace and quiet. We always enjoy staying there and this year was no exception!

My mother's family moved to Carmel in 1916 and have extensive knowledge of all the fun things to do on the Monterey Peninsula. We have created a cozy, private environment for your enjoyment while you visit Carmel/Monterey Peninsula. We hope to provide the "Home away from home" feel for all of our guests. We live locally and have 2 wonderful sons.

We are located close to all major events that happen on the Monterey Peninsula. We are minutes away from some of the most famous golf courses in the world, fabulous beaches and fine dining. Big Sur is within driving distance from our house.
