Had a really nice chilled break away . Loved the lemon cake, milk in the fridge and doggie treats. Food in the pub was tasty .plenty to do in the local area . Great location to explore
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The house is extremely comfortable, warm & clean. The owners have thought of everything thing you could need. The couple who live next door are delightful and very friendly.
We had such a peaceful stay. The village is so pretty and cafes and restaurants are so close to the cottage. The cottage was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely be coming again.
When I arrived, I felt welcome at Coombe Cottage. The hosts’ attention to details was excellent- from the welcome basket to the amenities of the cottage. The garden was lovely to relax in after a day of sightseeing. The path to town expertly described by the host directed me on a lovely walk and to a charming town. There were a few road issues and the neighbors were happy to help me navigate them. I was able to get to and from the destinations that I had on my agenda. And I was so happy to return to the wee cottage in the evening for the peace and beauty of its environs.
Very comfortable and cozy cottage nestled within a picturesque chocolate box village.

Very comfortable and cozy cottage nestled within a picturesque chocolate box village. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. We spent 2 weeks at Capp Mill and would have happily extended if we could. The location is perfect for visiting the Cotswolds and for venturing further afield to Bath and surrounding areas. The local Pub and hotel within the village offer a wonderful atmosphere and lovely food.We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone wanting a romantic, peaceful getaway and to be one with nature.Thank you for a fantastic time away and we look forward to returning soon.
Our first trip to the UK has been in the plans for the last 2 years. Initially our plan for the Cotswolds portion was to be based in Bath. Upon replanning for this trip. I saw this property in Cirencestor. I have to say that this was spot on a great find. First Cierencester itself is a destination to be seen, and the proximity of numerous restaurants, pubs and coffee shops make it easy to find something to eat if you don’t want to cook yourself.
Second the location to the Cotswolds smaller villages. In our 5 day stay,we easily fit in birdied, bourbon-on the water(and Slaughters) Broadway, Castle Combe and Lacock, as well as Bath. Bath being the furthest at just over an hour. The others were 20 to 40 minutes.
So the location is great. But the property is fantastic. It really has a cozy feel. When we arrived the temps were starting to fall and it was nice firing up the gas burner. The layout is perfect go a couple. The pictures are spot on. Having a private garden was also a plus. Dominic treated us with some breakfast essentials and came over and introduced himself.
The upstairs loft has plenty of storage and places to put your suitcases. The bed was quite comfortable. The 1 bathroom, while being downstairs, had a great shower, the heated towel rack was another plus. Of note, I’m 6’ 1” and the bathroom entry is about 3 inches shorter ( I only forgot 1 time). I had expected this as it was a conversion.
All in all this is a top property and was well worth the asking price. Thanks again for sharing.
