Very nice property in a beautiful village

I highly recommend this property!! Very clean and well maintained located in the peaceful village of Scalford. We were surprised by the size of the house......it's huge and has all the amenities you need for a very comfortable stay. The welcome basket was a very nice touch and made it all the more memorable. The neighbours are very friendly and added to the ambiance of the idyllic village setting. The village is beautiful and well worth a walk around. The pub is a 5 minute stroll and serves good food from Friday-Sunday. Melton Mowbray is a short drive away and Grantham is only about 20 minutes in the opposite direction. There are plenty of points of interest close by. We went to Belvoir Castle, Sir Isaac Newton's house, took a canal boat trip and went to Lincoln to see the cathedral and the castle. We all wished we could have stayed longer!!

High quality property

Lovely comfortable property in a nice neighbourhood. Perfect for a family meet-up. Near Rutland Water & Melton country park. Several nice pubs nearby and supermarkets for self catering.

Charming stay

We had a great stay. It was perfect for us. My only comment would be that the listing says it has a washer and dryer and it only has a washer but I really have no issues with the place. It was a lovely stay.

Splendid VRBO stay

Jeff and Breda were excellent hosts and the property was as described and pictured. Jeff met us at checkin and provided a brief overview of the property and was extremely friendly. While we did not cook at the rental, it was well equipped to do so if you desire. Since we were in town to see our son at Harlaxton, we ate out most meals. We would definitely stay again and recommend this property to anyone wanting to be within short drive if Grantham or Harlaxton. Cheers!
