The Hammocks At Marathon vacation rentals

Better than the description! The villa was perfect for our family of four, especially the large bathroom, which fit all of my and my daughter's various beauty products and allowed us to get ready at the same time. There was a full kitchen, though there are tons of eateries within walking distance, including Barnacle Barneys, which had great food and was located on the property. They also had live music playing. At night you can watch the amazing sunset over the water on the hammocks near the dock. The property was beautiful- walking out to the dock, you could see parrotfish, barracuda, and at certain times when the fishing boats return, you can watch them throw their remains in the water, attracting giant tarpon, nurse sharks, and blacktip sharks (all from the dock at a safe distance of course). The host was very communicative and lovely- I would go back in a heartbeat!

Loved everything about our stay here. The apartment was great, the grounds and pool were beautiful, the communication with the owner was great. Overall an excellent stay.

We enjoyed having the comforts of home while on vacation. The pool stayed open late which was really nice.

Easy, nice

This is the perfect location to stay in the Keys. Not only is the resort centrally located in the Keys, the resort is very nice and clean. This particular unit is spacious and is great for a family of four to have space to enjoy our vacation! The resort has some nice amenities- pool and restaurant (they will cook your catch!) and they are next to a marina that rents boats, kayaks, and has some tours. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony at nights at soaking up the atmosphere. We overlooked the Coast Guard marina next door- which was exciting at times. The staff at the resort were great and helpful when there was anything of need and very welcoming! The owner of the room was easy to communicate with and was helpful.

This was the easiest property to rent from. The property manager, Kathleen, explained the whole process thoroughly and made it incredibly easy for us. The room was incredibly spacious and the amenities were fabulous.

The Hammocks is a great spot in Maration, a perfect homebase for exploring the Florida Keys: a little over an hour to Key Largo in the Upper Keys (even less to Islamorada) and less than an hour to Key West in the Lower Keys. The resort is compact, clean (esp concerned with keeping COVID measure in place), and comfortable! Great pool area, complete with a nice tiki bar, and awesome sunset views! Highly recommended!
