Peaceful getaway with fantastic countryside view!

The cottage was very clean with all the promised amenities. The owners, Pat and Virginia, promptly responded to requests, but respected our privacy. My husband and I especially enjoyed the peaceful hillside view as we sat on the deck under the stars with the fire pit blazing.

Life in the Shoe

I toured the Shoe House with my kids when they were little. To stay at the Shoe House with my kids now that they are grown was priceless. Truly enjoyed the experience and would encourage others to do the same. Totally worth it!

Family Vacation

Great location

We loved the location because it was less than an hour from Hershey Park/Chocolate World, Gettysburg, Amish country and where I grew up as a kid. My family and I would go out for the day to see PA and then go back to the rental house to sit on the back deck to read or play with the grandkids in the backyard. The house was spacious and well equipped for our needs. It was truly a home away from home.

Great Home for Area Fun

We used the home as a base for visits to Gettysburg, hiking the adjacent trail and other fun things in York. The home was very updated and close to York. We ran out of time to do everything and would definitely stay again!
