This Fully-equipped Duplex Apartment for 2 or 3 people is located on St Louis Island, a three-minute stroll to Notre Dame. It is on Rue Le Regrattier, a quiet street where the Vespas (and street musicians) don't go, yet it's right around the corner from a well-equipped market and a choice of pâtisseries and wine and cheese shops. There is a permanent queue outside of Berthillon, the ice cream icon.
You enter the door on the left. Nobody stopped 17th Century architects from building 16-foot ceilings. So they did, making later day duplexes possible. As a result, if you look up to the eight-foot level you see the entrance to the bathroom and the screened-in bedroom
Look down at the sitting area. (The couch accommodates a guest.) Here's a closer look at the sitting room. Face about 180 degrees and look across the room to the dining area, convenient to the kitchen. The short service bar to the left of the dining table frames the passage to the kitchen. There's pantry space aplenty.
The bathroom is small, spotless and utilitarian. A washer & dryer are provided along with towels, linens soap, etc
The shelf on the right runs the length of the room and is a catch-all for the stereo, telephone, internet station, etc. The bedroom contains a king-sized bed, on-cable TV and a wall of shelves and closets.

We returned home from our France holiday yesterday, the first 7 days of which was spent in this apartment. The apartment from perfect for our family of three, with my 8 year old sleeping on the mezzanine. The apartment was exactly as described and the location amazing. Benjamin was very helpful on arrival and made the check in process very easy. We didn't use the cooking facilities so cannot comment on those, however everything else was in good order. Just a word of warning though - the hot water runs out really quickly, so we had to stagger our showering times to make sure we all had enough. The apartment is located on a quiet side street, but so close to everything. Just around the corner is a small convenience store, a bakery, cheese shop, bottle shop plus an array of restaurants and other retail shops. Easy walk to Notre Dame and would highly recommend restaurant St Regis down on the next corner for any meal. The food and staff are excellent. I would highly recommend this apartment for a couple or small family and hope to stay again one day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

First time renter, very impressed by mgmt company prior to arrival and by reception manager (who smiled even when we were 1 hour late arriving!) Apt was as pictured. Lovely tall ceiling and French windows in dining/salon area. Gorgeous wooden beams. Plus it was on a side street and amazingly quiet. Bed was comfortable; bathroom small and efficient -- great shower; Kitchen well equipped; we didn't use washer/dryer, microwave or burners but nice to have if needed. One Caution: the loft area, with the second bed and desk with internet cable has a very low ceiling -- I'm 5'7" and couldn't stand up straight. It worked fine since I sat at the desk to use my laptop, but for someone really tall, there might be problems. Perfect place for 2. And the Ile St-Louis is so special. Enjoy it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Gabriella, We loved the apartment in Paris. The location on Ile St Louis was unbeatable, it was nicely appointed and comfortable, and the floor to ceiling windows captured the cool evening breezes, even during the warm spell in Paris.
