We celebrated a graduation in Chicao. We were ages 8 up to 85. We enjoyed our time and found that whatever we did in the city, we were anxious to "get back to our place". Teri's guest house is more than a place to stay. First, it is an invitation to enjoy a luxurious place. Each apartment is complete from beds, baths, full kitchen, living and dining rooms. We had everything we needed plus the Jewel card to use and the cart to carry the groceries in. Our nephew loved going to the store and going to Southport shops. Grandpa enjoyed the walk to Wrigley Field and taking the Brown Line downtown. He had his own space and the younger crowd stayed up in another apartment. We ate in and catered pizza in as we did not want to go out. We celebrated the graduation in style with the theme "how sweet it is". That phrase is a perfect way to describe Teri's guest house. Thank you, Teri

We stayed in the Lakewood and Newport Ave. guest houses in late August 2011, and had a fabulous time. The houses were gorgeous, comfortable, and in beautiful neighborhoods just a few blocks from a very hip neighborhood with great restaurants, shops, bars, El stop, etc. The owner was amazingly responsive and helpful. She’s assembled binders of information on everything you could possibly want to know about visiting Chicago. The beds were very, very comfortable – with beautiful linens and an assortment of pillows. The owner has provided a full coffee and tea set-up, which we really appreciated. Everything worked perfectly. The furniture, fixtures, artwork, appliances -- everything top-notch. Checking in and out was easy. We’ll definitely stay again. We loved every minute of it and recommend it without any hesitation to anyone visiting Chicago. Thanks, Teri!

From Aug. 25 - 27 we rented out two Chicago Guest Houses, the Newport Ave and Henderson St. properties, for friends and family visiting Chicago for our wedding. Both houses were beautiful - modern kitchens, incredibly comfortable beds, cozy living rooms - and it was so nice to hang out all together and be together for meals rather than in separate, individual hotel rooms. Teri, the owner/ manager, was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the process, from booking to checkout. On that Thursday, 35 of us (most of whom were staying at the guest houses) went to a Cubs game at Wrigley and it was so nice to be able to walk over to the field and not have to pay for parking. There are also a number of great restaurants in walking distance, as well as other things that came in handy: grocery stores, tailors, etc. Most of our guests weren't from Chicago and they really enjoyed being in this neighborhood in particular. We hosted our rehearsal dinner and an open mic night on Friday at the Newport house, and it worked great. We used the grill in the backyard and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Overall, we had an amazing time and can't recommend these houses and Teri enough!

My family stayed in both units of this house and it was perfect for a large group who needed a lot of space. We loved the location - close to lots of attractions/restaurants/bars and blocks from public transit. The house was top of the line, the decor was beautiful, and the units were furnished with all the amenities that make it feel like home (coffee, spices, grill, laundry, etc). The owner provided a guidebook that had all the information you would ever need as a visitor to the city.

My Family of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clark Suite. This place had everything we needed and was within walking distance of great shops, restaurants, wrigleyfield, the train, and groceries. Basically anything you needed was within 4 blocks. We drove from southeast Iowa, parked in the garage, and the van never left those 3 days. The Suite was very clean, and tastefully decorated. We loved the kitchen and grill/patio area out back. The neighborhood is quiet and very pretty! We can't wait to plan our next trip, and we would stay at any of Teri's homes when we travel to Chicago next. She is great to work with! Everything was easily understood and she has thought of every answer to any question you might have. Teri provided a huge binder of nearby restaurants (most with menus), Chicago attractions, transportation maps, etc. It was very helpful and we used it a lot! Would recommend this suite to anyone! Love it here.

I stayed at Clarke Suite on Newport Avenue in May 2011 with my family as my brother was getting married in Chicago. The house and was fantastic and the owner, Teri, could not have been more helpful. It was perfectly clean, bigger than it looks in the photos, with really nice furnishing and decor throughout. It came with everything you could possibly need (including a very comprehensive guide to the local area, an abundance of towels and bedding, parking permits etc..). There was a lovely steam shower in it too. Teri, the owner to the property was really helpful. It was easy to contact her during our stay when we needed to ask to check out a bit later than we had planned and get some parking permits from her. The house is located in a lovely area too. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, it's about 5 mins walk from the nearest 'El' (Southport stop) and the area feels safe. There's a lovely restaurant nearby called Socca which is worth a visit and lots of nice little boutiques and opportunities for pampering nearby too!! Would certainly recommend to family/friends as a top place to stay.

There were 6 of us that spent a long weekend at the guest house and it was just amazing! The house is beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished, and so close to everything in the city! The house had great flat screen tvs and a stereo system was very clean and well stocked with towels, toiletries, etc. We walked all around the Southport/Wrigleyville area and there are a ton of great bars/restaurants/shops to keep you busy. We are planning a trip back up to Chicago and will without a doubt stay here again!

I just returned from a trip to Chicago with some friends. We like to travel around visiting different baseball stadiums. This year, we decided to visit Wrigley Field and watch the Cubs. Boy are we lucky we found this place. It was AMAZING! 3 levels of comfort and convenience that we enjoyed tremendously. The house is just a few blocks away from Wrigley Field and near tons of bars and restaurants in the heart of Wrigleyville. Our goal was to stay near the field since that was our main purpose for this visit, and this place was just perfect. Each level of the house is wonderfully decorated and funished with very nice things. The owner, Teri, was extremely easy to work with and delivered on everything that she promised. The welcome packets were especially nice being that none of us were very familiar with the city. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Chicago to see the Cubs or be around Wrigleyville. A+!
