Looking for that one of a kind find? Spend the afternoon on Southport Avenue ducking in and out of trendy boutiques or head over to Belmont Avenue for the quirky shops & vintage stores.

NIGHTLIFE
A plethora of hot spots that attract both the young and old.

  • What more could we have asked for....nothing! This guest house on Newport Ave was wonderful...so tastefully decorated, clean & spacious, fully equipped with all the comforts of home. The information book provided was full of great stuff...especially for out first trip to Chicago! Teri, our host, was very helpful & always a phone call away. The neighborhood was charming, walking distance to everything, convenient to catch the "L" to the city. If you are looking for a quiet, quaint place to stay with everything you'll need for a great vacation....this is the place. Oh, I forgot to mention that we were 4 girlfriends from high school..we wanted a place where we could all be together but have our own beds & privacy! The downstairs bedroom was a large suite. Two upstairs & two down. Perfect! And, we're still friends:) We'll be back!

  • Our experience at the Clarke Suite was outstanding. Teri was a fabulous owner/host and provided my team and I with the most glorious home during our stay in Chicago for an industry conference. The Clarke Suite allowed three of us to live independantly, yet be together in the fabulous kitchen. We hosted a client event (12 individuals) and the home was perfect for entertaining.   • My sorority sisters and I stayed at the Chicago Guest House for a second time. This time we stayed at the Clark Suite on Newport Ave. Teri has an amazing talent for making you feel like you NEVER want to leave! The condo is extremely well- appointed with beautiful art and furniture. The kitchen is extremely well stocked (we like to cook) down to the exact spices we needed! I'll warn you, you'll never want to get out of bed as you are warmed by the most luxurious linens and comfy mattresses and pillows! The neighborhood is terrific with great bars, shops, and restaurants. Want to venture further? The "L" stop is just a few blocks away to take you to all the fantastic places in Chicago. Wrigley Field is just 2 blocks away. Teri includes a binder brimming with maps, menus, tours etc. to navigate your way! I can't say enough about this "home away from home". It is SO much better than staying at a hotel...we girls just love to sit around the beautiful living room and laugh and laugh or drink wine in the kitchen as we cook dinner. A PERFECT get-away in the best city in the world!!

  • Our group of 8 plus a baby absolutely loved our long weekend stay at the Clarke Suite in the Newport Avenue guest house. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated with very nice furnishings and quality linens. It looks every bit as nice as the pictures on the website. The location was great with a short walk to Wrigley Field and its surrounding bars one way and a short walk to Southport and its great collection of restaurants and shopping on the other. Downtown was just a short ride on the El. We enjoyed having a back yard for hanging out with the family and it was just so cool to have our own house in a cool neighborhood in Chicago for the weekend. Everyone raved about the experience and we intend to head back in summer 2010.

  • I had the pleasure of staying in this most beautiful and well appointed home last October. Me and 7 of my girlfriends enjoyed this house, which felt immediately like we were at home. The colors and art and furniture is so thoughtfully chosen, we felt like we could stay for the entire winter! If you have the opportunity to visit Chicago then choose this place!! The beds are sooooo comfortable with clean high thread count sheets, it felt like we were royalty. Don't even hesitate! Choose this property!! We will be returning to Chicago soon and we will be contacting you Teri! You do an amazing job.
