Why the Owner Chose Ashland

My love for Ashland began while attending college here and we are lucky enough to call Ashland home. Raising kids and having a business in Ashland is a dream come true.

The Unique Benefits at this House

What I love about the Siskiyou House is that is feels like a home away from home. It's comfortable, clean and clutter-free and so convenient. Evenings with friends and a bottle of wine on the patio is my favorite along with a great night's sleep in the comfy beds!

A perfect home for a family vakay

Guest: California Writer (Los Angeles, California)
Date of Stay: 08/16/11 Review Submitted: 09/21/11

Wow, where to begin? For our family of five, entering this home was like stepping into an orderly, beautiful, and elegant dream of domestic bliss. We've got an adolescent, a 7-year-old and a 15-year-old, and upon entering this old Victorian each found a place to plop down and relax, and kept on relaxing for the next three days. No detail has escaped the owners of this property: from the laundry, to the kitchen and the living rooms, everything you might need is there at your disposal. The home itself is the definition of charming--it's more than 100 years old, and very well kept up. There's a couple of places to sit outside too, including a yard in the back to sit and drink the local wine or barbecue if you like (a grill is provided). Every morning we were there, a deer plopped itself in the backyard. Across the street there's a supermarket, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters, and the center of Ashland, are but a 6 or 7 minute walk away. This is really an excellent property in a charming city and I highly recommend it.

Owner response:Couldn't have said it better myself. It is such a joy to see how much people love the Siskiyou House. Thanks!

Great House

Guest: escapeGTA (Toronto, Canada)
Date of Stay: 11/08/10 Review Submitted: 02/07/11

This house accommodated our party very well (6 adults and one child). It is a victorian house, so there are some quirks, like a very tiny bathtub upstairs, and the only shower is accessible through the ground floor bedroom. We had no real issue with this though and really enjoyed the house, the location and the professional nature with which the rental was handled. If in the area again we will rent it for sure.

Didn't want to leave!

Guest: The Wong Stuff (San Francisco )

This house was so incredible. We stayed in vacation rentals all over the world and this fell into our top 3! The house was immaculate! The color scheme and decor was fantastic! It had all the original Victorian charm, yet was modern, fresh and very comfortable! The kitchen was top of the line and a pleasure to use! Extra perks were being able to BBQ outside, and having morning coffee on the porch!

What a lovely home you have! We truly appreciate the cozy yet well apoointed house, especially the comfortable beds and linens. I love old homes, but I have to say the new, high thread-count sheets are appreciated! We will definitely recommend the Siskiyou House to anyone visiting Ashland. Thank you.

2 Families enjoy their 2nd stay

Guest: Brad and Denise (-)
Date of Stay: 07/08/10 Review Submitted: 10/06/10

Thanks so much for another incredible stay - including a delightful 4th of July celebration! Like many others we soaked up as much time as we could reading on the porch, b-b-qing and enjoying the sunset in the backyard and just discussing each OSF show in the living room.

A well equipped kitchen and comfy beds

Guest: Suzanne and Robert (-)
Date of Stay: 03/05/09 Review Submitted: 10/06/10

Greetings from one of the 4 couples here in this spacious house. What a treat to find a very well equipped kitchen...we are all cooks and we loved our meals here. The bed (we got the king upstairs) was dreamy. Thank you for the thoughtful attention to our needs, and the aesthetic beauty of this place. The plays have been amazing, but being with friends here was the highlight. Thank you.

Wine tasting event and stay

Guest: Britta Nelson (-)
Date of Stay: 05/10/09 Review Submitted: 10/06/10

We were so excited and pleased to stay at this beautiful house. I joined Mary and Emily of Oregon Brand Wine Management for a Southern Oregon wine tasting event. This house was perfect for both our venue and our stay. I want to live here. It is beautiful and comfortable and what a stellar location. Thanks again for the reprieve from the "Big City". I will be back!

Can't wait to return!!!

Guest: Janet Judd (Happy Valley, Oregon )
Date of Stay: 03/20/10 Review Submitted: 05/23/10

I took four 16-year-old girls for four nights during spring break 2010. The house and yard were EXACTLY as the photos!!! The house was perfectly clean and the yard was tidy and cozy. We built a fire in the backyard one night for s'mores. The bedding was excellent. We walked everywhere we went - into town, to a play and across the street to Safeway.

Wow, the pictures do NOT do justice to this house. I thought it was one of those older homes with a lot of small rooms...but it is not, it has big airy rooms, state of the art kitchen. There were 8 of us and it was perfect. Walked to the theatre, large grocery and deli a half a block away...all my group gave me kudos for finding it, but i just lucked out. Really great house!
