  From the beginning was a definite plus. Owners were extremely good about communicating about what we should expect. Staff was the best. Even the "guard dogs" were wonderful. Loved the outside shower, we took several showers a day!! The view was breath taking from all over the house-really miss it since we are home. Best place in the world to enjoy your morning coffee. Islanders were friendly and helpful-but again I cannot say enough about the staff and the beautiful home. Looking forward to a return visit-this needs to be shared.

  Our family of 6 adults spent a wonderful week at La Diosa del Sol. The villa had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing vacation. The property manager, Jami and on site caretaker, Efrain were knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We reviewed many rental properties on VBRO before choosing La Diosa. This villa is even better than what is shown on the web site.

  We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa. It really met our needs as we were four couples and there was plenty of space for us and many different areas where we could be on our own. The pool and the patio were especially nice as there were plenty of chairs and lounges for the eight of us. After the first morning we always had breakfast out on the deck and often dinner, too. The adjacent beach and dock were perfect for those of us who wanted to get out on the water and the kayaks were great for those who really wanted to be active and explore the nearby coast.

  As an individual who has to write many things as part of his job I am truly at a loss for words. Every aspect of this wonderful vacation property not just lives up to the description but exceeds them. From the serenity to the views, the hospitality, the care, the personal touch it all comes through. Having traveled the world for work and play and stayed at some of the finest resorts, residences and hotels, La Diosa surpasses them all. From the personal touch of the owners ensuring you understand what your renting, to Jami and Ed and Efrain, it was truly paradise. My wife and I, along with another couple celebrate our anniversary annually with a trip, we've been on cruises, to resorts, you name it and have been doing it for 19 years. This has been one of the best ones yet, it will be hard to surpass it for the 20th. If you're looking for tranquility with access to the beach, great food within a reasonable travel time but not being part of the "hustle" of a resort, La Diosa is the way to go. I can't say enough about the sanctuary that it is. Absolutely a must stay!

  Our multi-generational family of 9 spent a glorious week at LaDiosa. The house is beautifully designed and appointed. Kitchen is well equipped and fun to use. The pool is fabulous. My grandchildren (ages 2, 6 and 9) had a terrific time and enjoyed the pool and the nearby beach. The caretaker, Efrain, is a very sweet man who was very helpful. The kids enjoyed the 2 dogs that live at his cottage. There are wonderful views from every room and balcony. We used the 4 yoga mats daily and ate many meals outside on the porch near the kitchen. If you like to snorkel you'll love this place - bring underwater cameras. Weather was beautiful and we had some nice outings to gorgeous beaches. For a very relaxing vacation this is ideal. Driving in Roatan can be challenging because of the roads so be sure to rent a 4x4.

  After looking at many villas offered for rental, we chose “La Diosa Del Sol” and decided to rent it for the week. We were immediately connected with the property manager, Jami, who was very helpful with our preparations, & even arranged for the Villa's house cleaner to come in daily - and cook too, for a very reasonable cost. The villa itself was gorgeous. Very well maintained, spacy & clean. Two master BRs & 2 additional BRs - 3 w/AC. A big open room with tall ceilings contained the kitchen, sitting & dining areas and were spacy & comfortable. There was Direct TV & huge DVD collection. The kitchen was well equipped as described, though not quite with the state-of-the-art utilities one would expect from the description. No ice maker. All culinary water came in 5G bottles, two of which were provided (we used 3 for the week). We had some lovely dinners outside, having no problems keeping the bugs at bay. The view from the house towards the ocean was very nice. We did not really use the beach area. Rosa, our cook & house cleaner, made all our dinners, taking us to fresh fish markets off the beaten path to buy fresh Grouper, tiger shrimps, snappers and lobsters, and made fantastic local cuisine. We feelt no inclination to go out to eat at all. We all loved the swimming pool & lounging around the house and it’s property was very comfortable. The on-site caretaker Elias, was very nice and helpful, always there, but never intrusive. The week passed much too quickly, and all of sudden it was time to pack up and leave. All in all, as enjoyable a vacation and stay as we could have hoped for, also helped by the diving shop next door (1.5 miles down the road, Subway Watersport) was superb and made for up to 16 great dives for us. Despite the logistics of going to the poorest central American country being a little “different” than going to Hawaii, we felt safe and comfortable during our stay, especially when at “La Diosa Del Sol”.   My positive experience began from the day we first made and inquiry about this property, and didnt end through the end (and even after) our stay. The owners were great to work with as we made our decision on a property to stay at. I had many questions about the property, about the amenities, about the island, etc. All my questions were answered in an accurate and timely manner. The local property manager was fantastic. From the time we were met at the airport, the drive to the property, walking us through the property, checking on us frequently (but not intrusively), and checking us out. The onsite caretaker was also a pleasure - he always was making sure we were safe and didnt need anything. A character to talk to as well. The home was as described in the postings, the pictures and video dont do it justice. Not only was the house great, but there wasnt anything that wasnt available to make ourselves comfortable. This property is definately secluded and out of the way. Very quiet and very relaxing. But the island is small enough that getting anywhere is very easy and quick - but do make sure you have a car. The house is up a bit off the beach on the hill (giving a great view of the ocean), and you have to walk across a dirt road to get down to the private dock. Also while there is a beach, dont expect to swim in the area - just plan on enjoying the kayaks - paddle out a short distance to snorkle on the reefs. Many beautifual beaches are a short drive away for those who want to enjoy that. My small family had a great time, we hit all the recommended restaurants, we used the recommended nearby scuba shop (Subway sports), we ziplined nearby, we did the dolphin smim, went to many beaches on both ends of the island. All in all if you are up for a secluded and tranquil location - and up to exploring this beautiful island - this is a fantatistic place to stay. We would return to Roatan and La Diosa with no reservations or concerns at all

  La Diosa is a beautiful diamond in the rough. My husband, three teenage grandchildren and I had absolutely the best time in Roatan and a large part of that was due to La Diosa. The house was the perfect retreat for our family with plenty of room to spread out. Everyone had their own room and we did not want for anything. From Jamie, the property manager, meeting us at the airport to Elias, the caretaker, checking on us daily, we were well taken care of. We kayaked, snorkeled right in front of the house and we loved the pool! We would highly recommend this house for families and large parties.

  This is my second stay at La Diosa and it was just as beautiful as the first time. I went the first time with my husband and it was a relaxing and romantic getaway. The views are spectacular and you feel immersed in the sights and sounds of the tropical forest. What really surprised us was how chic and comfortable the design and furnishings of the house are. We are in the fashion business and travel extensively for both leisure and business and the house is very unique for the Caribbean in being so comfortable, elegant and whimsical. We were instantly transported into our own paradise. The staff was attentive but unobtrusive which is exactly what we were looking for. The house is very spacious and open and made us think it would be a great place for a party. We had been raving about our experience to some of our friends and we all decided to go together. When we arrived the staff remembered us and gave us a warm welcome. Although there is a lot to do on the island, we ended up spending most of our time at the house, swimming and kayaking and cooking in the beautiful kitchen. The time just flew by - La Diosa is a wonderful place to get away from it all. We will definitely be back.

  Lovely home with plenty of room, indoor/outdoor feel, pool, and private dock with kayaks and coral reefss. Met by manager at airport, caretaker on site. If you want to leave the premises, there are towns and beaches to enjoy.
