Welcome to paradise....with all the amenities. This 2,200 s.f.oceanfront Hacienda has just been completed in Dec.'06. Built with the family or up to 3 couples in mind. This home sits RIGHT ON THE BEACH, 6 miles north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, where the 18th parallel crosses this beautiful island....hence our name 18 Degrees north.
As you walk out the front door there is a 55' long verandah which offers you cover from the occasional tropical shower and the Caribbean sun, the 1st step down is to the pool which has built in seats so you can easily read and sun while in the water, ten strides past the pool deck and your across the sand and on our 250' pier which has 2 large hammocks set up under the 16'X16' grass thatched palapa, one step down at the end of the pier is a swimming dock for those who like the salt water of the Caribbean (large wooden steps afford easy ocean access)
Kitchen has most of the amenities of a modern home.We have hooked up purified water that runs through the refrigerator/freezer thus you will have a continuous supply of pure water and ice cubes. There is an island with a sink that faces the Caribbean and French doors overlooking the pool, so that whoever has cooking duty can enjoy the view and the breeze.
One bedroom has a king size bed and the other two queens. Large closets, 2 sinks and large walk-in glass block showers are part of each bedroom. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Iron and both beach and bathroom towels are provided. Each Bedroom has a porch out the French doors with seating for two.
There is a spacious living room which also has doors that open to the pool area. Here you will find a growing selection of reading materials, satellite TV and internet, DVD, CD, and the XM radio receiver. The furniture throughout is built for people of above average size.( The owner is 6'5" and weighs 250 lbs) The day time temperature is usually in the 80's most of the year, but with the french doors open off the front verandah and a usually steady breeze off the ocean you will stay comfortable without air conditioning
Ernesto and Sammantha (our caretakers) are here on site to make your visit comfortable. They can help you with knowledge of local activities,restaurants, shopping, etc. and for additional charges Ernesto will take you fishing, snorkeling or lobster diving and when you come back Samantha will cook it in the Belizean way.
These prices include pick up and delivery to the San Pedro airstrip, and one boat trip to town and back each day. We hope to see you soon at 18 Degrees North.

- XM radio at pool and house, 250' private pier w/ swimming deck at the end, caretaker couple(Ernesto and Samantha)on premises to take you to town 1 time per day via our 25'skiff (additional trips $50/ea), linens changed and house cleaned every 3 days,Ernesto is a certified tour guide and will be available to take you fishing, snorkeling and lobster diving (additional fee), Samantha is a great cook in the islands tradition, should you want meals prepred please let her know 24 hours ahead so she can gather all ingredients (additional fee), the hacienda is decorated with art from best known Belize artists,2 ea Large glass block showers, outdoor gated shower, caretakers casita on property
