Welcome to a slower pace where the rhythm of the animals, the plants and the weather determine our activity. We take no daily papers intentionally and make minimal trips to Monterey to focus on the rural life and the beauty of this wild land. Come to create or rejuvenate. Our home is designed with the living quarters downstairs and the studio for art, music, dance, or yoga upstairs. This is a comfortable place to reunite with friends or family.
Each morning we begin our day with milking the goats, making cheese, checking the troughs and watering the gardens. You can choose to join us in the farm chores or relax. We are just 5 minutes from Phieffer Beach, or a 15 minute walk to the delicious Big Sur Bakery, (after milking of course) and the Cultural Center of Big Sur, Loma Vista,where you can find us at the Farmer's Exchange every Sunday at 11am.
The kitchen faces East, greeting the morning sun through the backyard garden. Outdoor meals are our favorite in summer and some nights we use the firepit for roasting marshmellows. The second living room faces West; a warm sunny place to watch the sunsets over the Pacific.
