For the Romantic couple, or a family, come to create or rejuvenate. Relaxing is a big sport here, on the spacious grounds overlooking the ocean. The main part of this house is a charming combined kitchen living, with a sunny reading space, and a great view of the sunsets. The second bedroom, in the Studio is surrounded by windows and views of the ocean.
Each morning we begin our day with milking the goats, making cheese, checking the troughs, and watering the gardens. You can choose to join us in the farm activities or relax. We are just a 10 minute drive from Pfeiffer Beach, or a 15 minute walk to the delicious Big Sur Bakery, (after milking of course) and the Cultural Center of Big Sur, Loma Vista.
We love to host families with children who are looking for a vacation in a rural setting on a small farm. You are welcome to take our cheese making class with an advance reservation.

We lucked out. Our vist to the Lucky Goat Farm was smashing. Both the peace, the views, and the ranch setting were magnificant. We unpacked, made our first dinner, highlighted by some of the property's fresh goat cheese and wine, and slipped back in time to an earlier life---what a joy coming out of our city life into this. In the morning we all took a turn to milk the goats, and then set out exploring. Highly reccomended for a couple or a family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1925
About the owner: We love art, music and animals. This is a place for all three. Meeting people from different walks of life adds tremendnously to our lives.
Why the Owner Chose Big Sur:
This is our family home for the past 48 years, we love to share it. It is still very much in the original conformation of the Spanish land grant from the early 1800's. We still keep sheep, horses, goats and chickens, farm and make much of what we consume.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
What brought me here, besides visting my family was the land itself and how it drops off dramatically to the sea and how it changes in the different lights and bends into intriguing shapes with the fog filling the crevices. The freedom to walk these cliffside pastures is as close to being a condor as I can get as a mere human.
