  • Mountaintop oasis

"This lovely home provides an oasis from the vibrant towns of Carmel and Monterey. You can relax on the spacious terrace, in the pretty garden, or on the balcony overlooking the valley below. The well-equipped kitchen lets you easily entertain a large family or a small dinner for two. There are plenty of bedrooms to accommodate a large group and plenty of space for all to find room for their own activities. You will enjoy the view as you relax in the home."

  • Magical Cabin in the Woods

"We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in this wonderful main cabin nestled in the Redwood forest. The pictures in the website do not include the magical feeling that you get when you first encounter this cabin. The cabin is surrounded by giant redwood trees and the property even had it's own running stream. The beds were very comfortable and the heat from the wood burning fire stove made the cabin very cozy. Our first night in the cabin we met Abraham, Lisa's Husband. Abraham was really friendly guy and showed us how to use the wood burning fire place. The Kitchen area had all of the utensils, pots, and condiments that you will need to prepare your meals. The beds are really comfortable. Over All, if you are looking for a cozy cabin to just relax and be away from it all then this is the place for you. The cabin's location was ideal if you want to spend a day hiking in Big Sur. It's a few miles away from Point Lobos and we even made it out to Monterrey Aquarium."

  • Great little cabin in the woods

"Stayed here for two night with my wife, though honestly this place would be perfect for 4-6 people. There's a double bed in the loft, another in the small bedroom downstairs, and a futon couch. It actually has a really nice kitchen for the size and location - though I will mention that while they had some basics stocked (salt, pepper, ketchup, etc) there was no vegetable oil! Just a little weird lol. We did have fun chopping our own firewood to use in the wood stove fireplace, which was also nice cause it got pretty cold at night and this was the only heat source. The place is beautiful though, wonderfully secluded and picturesque. You're basically out in the middle of the forest, and outside they have a patio and lawn area with enough seating for a little party and gas grill. I'd be happy to stay again, great place for just unplugging and relaxing in nature."

  • Perfectly Simple

"This is our last few hours at this house in Carmel. Now that we know what Carmel is (an extremely ritzy community), I can understand some of the previous reviews. This house was perfect for my family. It is simple, clean and more than adequate for a 10 day vacation. It is not granite countertops and marble bathrooms. It is a short walk to the beach in a quiet neighborhood and all the basic essentials to cook at home. Thank you Susan and extended family for sharing your home. We enjoyed our time here. This home is completely adequate for families like mine that need a home base to explore the region. The Nebraskans!"
