  • Truly Charming Cottage

"If you're familiar with Carmel's history and the Tuck Box, staying at this Snow White Cottage was like living in a fairy tale. Simply perfect. Enter into a well-appointed living room with a wonderful fireplace and find yourself instantly feeling cozy and content to just spend some at home. The cottage has been completely updated, yet it holds still all the old charm of Carmel-By-The-Sea. The interior design, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms (including steam shower), and bedding were all wonderful. The location is perfect within just a few blocks and an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and wine tasting throughout Carmel. I will definitely return to Snow White Cottage...a month would be perfect!"

  • Charming woodsy retreat.

"We were two families who shared the house for a Thanksgiving holiday who loved this place. The house is spacious and comfortable and very tastefully adorned with art and artifacts of world travel. There is a terrific glass and wood dining table, Calligaris from Italy, that looks small in the photos but expands to easily seat 8. Nice kitchen with plenty of pots and pans and dishes for cooking and dining, which we did except for one dinner out to Il Tegamino in town, about a half mile away. The 3 bedrooms are nice, each with bathroom. The king suite has gas fireplace, large bathroom, great window views into the woods, and tons of space. Living space in with very cool recessed rim lighting and unique oval and round windows, a fireplace, and big screen TV with satelite and wifi. The house feels like a home which flows outdoors to the spacious grounds, and you feel private and privileged. The mission trail is on Mission Creek which runs (well, trickles) through the back yard and goes down the old mission passing some coastal redwoods. Hiked all of Point Lobos one day, drove and hiked Big Sur the next, went to the Aquarium another day, and generally got a good feel of the area. Highly recommend this home. Loved our stay. The directions are easy if you follow them and the steep driveway is no problem if you back down to it. It was a wet road on arrival and I found headfirst required me to back out, up hill, with no weight on rear wheels and I spun out a bit. Backing down allows you to drive out forward and zero problem. A second car does need to park on the street at the end of the block, but it is clearly necessary and no big deal."

  • Great Place in Carmel-By-The-Sea with an unbeatable location

"The Marley Cottage is clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location cannot be beat and I would call it the perfect spot for two couples to spend some quality time together. We'll be returning for sure!"

  • My Favorite Place

"I have returned to the cottage for 7 years. I travel a great distance to do so. The reason is mainly because Jann is such an incredible hostess and is very attentive to each guest. The home is wonderful, and the bed is amazing. You truly will not want for anything there. The area is probably one of the most beautiful spots in the US. Point Lobos and the town of Carmel and the wonderful beach are within 5-15 minutes. I am so thankful that my well behaved dogs are welcome. It makes the drive from Colorado well worth it!"
