  • Beautiful and Architecturally Interesting Property

"This is a beautiful home, with interesting architecture, a nice split upper level, a wonderful and expansive deck, and a nice small lawn to boot. The pictures didn't do it justice for me. It's not quite easy walking distance into the heart of town but is a short drive, plus there is Uber in Carmel for those inclined. Finally, it has a wonderful wood-burning fireplace that really helps to make it feel homey an cozy during those cold Carmel evenings. Yelena was a gracious host and we would stay again."

  • Fabulous!

"This home provided a fabulous retreat for our family. With all the adult kids and grandkids gathered together, it was the perfect place to spend relaxing time together in a location that was quiet and secluded yet within easy driving distance of area attractions. We all savored the expansive view and spent a lot of time on the patio just soaking it in."

  • Convenient and magical!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My parents stayed and properly played grandparents here for a month. They could walk to town and enjoy people and shops or just open the window and listen to the soft music and chatter from the restaurant next door. Kelly was a superb hostess, she even offered to drive at night to change an old fire alarm beeping for maintenance. (My folks did have to work through the night with the noise but it was changed promptly the next morning.) The condo is well equipped (including an elevator to get to the 3rd story!), and was awaiting us with treats and wonderful basic supplies to get started: olive oil, water, coffee... what more can you ask for? We shared wonderful home-made meals as a family, it was fabulous!"

  • Charming woodsy retreat.

"We were two families who shared the house for a Thanksgiving holiday who loved this place. The house is spacious and comfortable and very tastefully adorned with art and artifacts of world travel. There is a terrific glass and wood dining table, Calligaris from Italy, that looks small in the photos but expands to easily seat 8. Nice kitchen with plenty of pots and pans and dishes for cooking and dining, which we did except for one dinner out to Il Tegamino in town, about a half mile away. The 3 bedrooms are nice, each with bathroom. The king suite has gas fireplace, large bathroom, great window views into the woods, and tons of space. Living space in with very cool recessed rim lighting and unique oval and round windows, a fireplace, and big screen TV with satelite and wifi. The house feels like a home which flows outdoors to the spacious grounds, and you feel private and privileged. The mission trail is on Mission Creek which runs (well, trickles) through the back yard and goes down the old mission passing some coastal redwoods. Hiked all of Point Lobos one day, drove and hiked Big Sur the next, went to the Aquarium another day, and generally got a good feel of the area. Highly recommend this home. Loved our stay. The directions are easy if you follow them and the steep driveway is no problem if you back down to it. It was a wet road on arrival and I found headfirst required me to back out, up hill, with no weight on rear wheels and I spun out a bit. Backing down allows you to drive out forward and zero problem. A second car does need to park on the street at the end of the block, but it is clearly necessary and no big deal."
