  • Perfection!

"We brought our daughter, her husband and two boys, 6 and 3. We chose this home because our son has a dog and we wanted his dog to be included in our family vacation. Pet friendly was a huge consideration, plus we wanted everyone to have their own space. This home definitely didn't disappoint. The floor plan couldn't have been better for our family. One wing downstairs perfectly suited our daughter and her family and the other downstairs wing was perfect for our son and his dog (he, unfortunately, couldn't make the trip in the end, though). The master was upstairs and felt roomy, private and provided a quiet place for a wonderful nap after long walks and beach time. The amenities of this house were great, too. A red wagon for transporting kids, towels, etc to the beach was used every day. We even used it to haul kids with us to walk into town. The walk to the beach is just a few yards, which made enjoying sunsets pretty darn easy. The walk to Mission Ranch for a glass of wine, dinner, or the piano bar was made several times. Kitchen is fully stocked with great appliances and pretty much anything and everything you could need. I love keeping up with laundry and those appliances were perfect as well. We highly recommend this home for a family vacation."

  • Amazing Weekend Getaway

"We are two working professionals from LA who were looking for a quiet place to go and relax. We truly found this at the Aloha Cottage in Carmel!!! As we walked into the cottage that was tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood, there was a sense of heartfelt welcome not only because of the beautiful architecture/landscape, but also due to the amazing attention to details. They had unique snacks, a full selection of drinks for the Keurig coffee maker and nearly 300 movies to enjoy on iTunes! The owners really go above and beyond to ensure that their guests feel invited and very comfortable. Our first morning there, we got to meet Martin. It was such a pleasure to meet him after exchanging emails, which were thorough. We especially appreciated his 5 day itinerary, with activities and dining options. There were so many places to choose from. We got lunch from 5th Ave Deli, ate dinner at Flying Fish, and had French pastries from Patisserie Boissiere Restaurant and Lafayette Bakery & Cafe. The Monterey Aquarium (they generously shared their 2 guest passes) and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve (with amazing ocean views) were both an easy drive from the home. Next time, we hope to visit with a few other couples and rent out the Main Residence at Aloha Estate to rest again in peacefulness and share new memories. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing getaway (and not have to worry about noisy hotel/B&B “neighbors”), check this place out; you will not be disappointed! The best way to describe our time was that we did not feel like renters but rather guests of Martin's home. Thank you!!!"

  • Carmel Beach House

"Wonderful location with an older home. Just like my grandmothers, even with the built in ironing board. The stairs to the beach were literally out the front door. front windows looked out to Pebble Beach on the right and Point Lobos to the left. Location, location, location. A bit of a walk uphill to the shops in town for older folks, but public parking was plentiful. Three spacious bedrooms with the master upstairs with its own balcony. An older home but quite nicely kept and supplied. Definitely would go again."

  • Adorable home in a wonderful neighborhood

"We had a wonderful stay at this home in Carmel. The location was perfect for quiet evenings at home and close to the shops and beach for daytime activities. The beach near this home is beautiful and easy to access by car. You could walk to the beach and to town but we preferred to drive, allowing us to bring our beach items with us. The parking was plentiful each time we went. We loved to walk the neighborhood in the mornings and evenings. The area is simply adorable and the homes are so cute. The house itself was very comfortable for our family of 4 adults. We had some additional people over for dinner one night and we all fit easily. The kitchen had great pots/pans and plenty of dishes for our needs. The home supplies many light spices/salt/pepper and paper products which was a nice added bonus. We found the beds and furniture to be comfortable and we loved sitting in the dining/sun room for breakfast. We loved the old (probably original) windows and we felt like they added so much charm to the house. We played football in the street, paddle ball in the yard and board games inside. A great family weekend!! Overall we had a great time and we would certainly stay here again."
