  • Perfectly Simple

"This is our last few hours at this house in Carmel. Now that we know what Carmel is (an extremely ritzy community), I can understand some of the previous reviews. This house was perfect for my family. It is simple, clean and more than adequate for a 10 day vacation. It is not granite countertops and marble bathrooms. It is a short walk to the beach in a quiet neighborhood and all the basic essentials to cook at home. Thank you Susan and extended family for sharing your home. We enjoyed our time here. This home is completely adequate for families like mine that need a home base to explore the region. The Nebraskans!"

  • Stunning location great place for a family

"This place was absolutely fantastic for our family. The large pool overlooking the Carmel Valley is where we spent most of the time on site but the house is well appointed with plenty of room. This place is Private with a capital P and a really great place to get away. I am not sure you really need anything more than this."

  • Truly delightful and calming

"I am familiar with the location and was so glad BeachWalk was available for my much needed vacation. My job requires that I travel to the Monterery area from the east coast, always staying in a hotel. So, I had high expectations - this property does NOT disappoint! The ease of access to CA1, markets, shops, restaurants, and all the splendor of California's central coast, make this a must stay property. There is so much to experience and see; drive down to San Simeon to Hearst Castle, Big Sur, Big Sur Lighthouse, the Aquarium, 17 Mile Drive and Pebble Beach. Plan to get out early, so that you can return to enjoy sitting around the firepit and recounting the days activities. I am already planning to return to BeachWalk next year. Thank you Bradbury's for this slice of delight."

  • Adorable home in a wonderful neighborhood

"We had a wonderful stay at this home in Carmel. The location was perfect for quiet evenings at home and close to the shops and beach for daytime activities. The beach near this home is beautiful and easy to access by car. You could walk to the beach and to town but we preferred to drive, allowing us to bring our beach items with us. The parking was plentiful each time we went. We loved to walk the neighborhood in the mornings and evenings. The area is simply adorable and the homes are so cute. The house itself was very comfortable for our family of 4 adults. We had some additional people over for dinner one night and we all fit easily. The kitchen had great pots/pans and plenty of dishes for our needs. The home supplies many light spices/salt/pepper and paper products which was a nice added bonus. We found the beds and furniture to be comfortable and we loved sitting in the dining/sun room for breakfast. We loved the old (probably original) windows and we felt like they added so much charm to the house. We played football in the street, paddle ball in the yard and board games inside. A great family weekend!! Overall we had a great time and we would certainly stay here again."
