  • This property really lives up to the description!

"We rented this property for our family as one of our daughter's wedding took place in the Carmel Valley. It's gated location near the top of the mountain in a cul-de-sac made us feel safe and comfortable. The property was maintained well and spacious and as the description states, 'Spectacular views' are exactly that!! The kitchen is amazing and has everything you need to prepare a multi-course meal if you choose or simple dishes. The appliances are top notch. Ron(the owner) called me personally and he is very nice. He was 'spot-on' that I would really enjoy the house and it's surroundings. I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative in a heartbeat! Thanks Ron! I'll be back"

  • Amazing house

"We had a wonderful stay in this house!! I would happily stay here again on my next visit to the area. As the other reviewers have mentioned the house is clean, cozy, modern and peaceful, and it's clear that the owners have a background in art and design. The kitchen was also well-equipped. Despite the fact that the house is quiet and secluded, it's also close to shops, restaurants and other amenities--this made it super convenient. We spent most of our days hiking in Big Sur, which is only a short drive away. We also spent one night in the guest house. The guest house is every bit as nice as the main house, but it's smaller. It's really meant for a couple, but there's a fold-out sofa that could be used for a third person in a pinch."

  • Rustic cabin in the woods, in a peaceful location close to Big Sur

"Rustic but well appointed little cabin, with everything we needed for a nice stay. The location is great, secluded and quiet, but still close to Big Sur. The house and trees are covered in twinkly lights, which were magical ; ) Though the cabin was mostly clean, it did have a heavy moldy/musty smell that was rough on my husband who has asthma and allergies. He basically couldn't breathe well inside the cabin. The wood burning stove heated the cabin nicely and was cozy, and ready to go for us when we arrived. We were cold and got a little over zealous, putting too many logs in the fire, which made it difficult to sleep up in the loft, which got super hot. The bedroom, on the other hand, was rather cold with the door shut. We ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room. There's a tv, which we didn't use, and wifi, which was suuuuper slow, but that was ok! We just ended up playing board games, which were stocked in the pantry. Other than the asthma attacks and odor, we had a lovely stay!"

  • Beautiful Retreat for Families

"We (four generations) spent a week at this beautiful retreat. The home was very large and comfortable with plenty of room for our group of 11 to relax, eat and have fun. We loved the top-floor master suite. It's HUGE with gorgeous views and a very comfy bed. The outdoor area is very nice with a grill and large table to eat, and the hot tub is a perfect spot to unwind. The location is ideal - very close to Point Lobos, and everything Carmel/Monterey has to offer. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks!"
