"The pictures and descriptions don't do it justice! The place was wonderful. The cottage was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Linda and Larry made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again."

  • Amazing Weekend Getaway

"We are two working professionals from LA who were looking for a quiet place to go and relax. We truly found this at the Aloha Cottage in Carmel!!! As we walked into the cottage that was tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood, there was a sense of heartfelt welcome not only because of the beautiful architecture/landscape, but also due to the amazing attention to details. They had unique snacks, a full selection of drinks for the Keurig coffee maker and nearly 300 movies to enjoy on iTunes! The owners really go above and beyond to ensure that their guests feel invited and very comfortable. Our first morning there, we got to meet Martin. It was such a pleasure to meet him after exchanging emails, which were thorough. We especially appreciated his 5 day itinerary, with activities and dining options. There were so many places to choose from. We got lunch from 5th Ave Deli, ate dinner at Flying Fish, and had French pastries from Patisserie Boissiere Restaurant and Lafayette Bakery & Cafe. The Monterey Aquarium (they generously shared their 2 guest passes) and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve (with amazing ocean views) were both an easy drive from the home. Next time, we hope to visit with a few other couples and rent out the Main Residence at Aloha Estate to rest again in peacefulness and share new memories. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing getaway (and not have to worry about noisy hotel/B&B “neighbors”), check this place out; you will not be disappointed! The best way to describe our time was that we did not feel like renters but rather guests of Martin's home. Thank you!!!"

  • Wonderful place for family to renew relationships

"We came for our fourth sons wedding. Our other kids, their spouses, 6 grandchildren under 8 and a babysitter met us here. The house was perfect for everyone! Grandma and Grandpa got one of the smaller rooms so the kids with grand-kids could have room to spread out. The kitchen and adjacent dining were just right to fit everyone for meals. The appliances are fairly new, the range/stove handled our big meals. The kids really enjoyed hanging out in the large hot tub at the end of the day. It was a great gathering place for our son and his groomsmen and girlfriends who were staying at another home near by. There was lots for the grandchildren to explore outdoors. They needed supervision because the woods are naturally wild. The owners had the house well stocked with plenty of bedding an towel's. There was even some condiments left over that we used. My wife and I were very blessed to be able to enjoy our time with our family in beautiful surroundings! Thanks David and Patti"
