  • Carmel Beach House

"Wonderful location with an older home. Just like my grandmothers, even with the built in ironing board. The stairs to the beach were literally out the front door. front windows looked out to Pebble Beach on the right and Point Lobos to the left. Location, location, location. A bit of a walk uphill to the shops in town for older folks, but public parking was plentiful. Three spacious bedrooms with the master upstairs with its own balcony. An older home but quite nicely kept and supplied. Definitely would go again."

  • Amazing Experience!

"All I can say is WOW! From the moment you pull into the driveway, walk through the front door, and then step foot onto your private bluff overlooking the waves crashing on the rocks in front of you, you've said WOW about 10 times. My husband and I surprised my parents and my sister and brother-in-law with a trip up to Carmel early this year (2/12-2/15), and Pelican Cove made a special place even more so for all of us. My family grew up in NorCal, but we now all live in SoCal, so we miss how easy it used to be to pop on over to Carmel for the day or weekend and soak in it's beauty. I have many fond memories with my family there, and it's a special place for my parents as they honeymooned there. Well, thanks to our wonderful stay at the beautiful Pelican Cove, we have yet another VERY special memory that my entire family can share in. The home is STUNNING and was so very accommodating for the 6 of us. There's more than enough room for everyone, and you're mesmerized by the water crashing on the rocks with every room you enter. We spent one of the nights in and cooked, and had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. Especially when we all cozied up to the gorgeous fireplace with a night cap. I can only hope we get the opportunity to stay again as I'd love to bring my family back with my in-laws as well. Thank you for sharing such a special place."

  • Amazing beautiful house, close to the beach, with fire pit and hot tub

"This house provided everything we needed, with private bathrooms for each bedroom, a huge kitchen & dining area to a great back patio with both a hot tub and fire pit. The location is surrounded by a beautifully kept garden, and a ten minute walk to the beach through the State Park and some lovely dunes. The neighborhood is quiet, but only a 5-10 minute drive to all the shopping of Carmel. Highly recommend for several couples. I'd definitely stay here again."

  • Fabulous Views!!!

"Absolutely loved staying here! The house is perched high up so be prepared to arrive during daylight to navigate the private drive up the hill, as Larry recommends. Pool was amazing, a wonderful 86 degree water temperature heated by solar power, even though the nights are cool, and day temps were only in the high 60's and low 70's. Makes swimming so enjoyable when you don't have a chill. Kids loved it. Beautiful views from all the rooms inside the house as well. Landscaping is lovely at the home, we spent many hours sitting and enjoying the view. Took several hikes at Garland Ranch which can be accessed directly from the home, which we appreciate. We like to rent homes where you can spill out of the house and not have to drive to be entertained. Plenty of yummy restaurants to chose from, Cafe Rustica being a favorite--make reservations. Easy grocery store options as well. Highly recommend staying here in the Valley where the fog lifts everyday and there are sunny skies. Carmel itself was socked in every day in the fog, people wearing coats, but not us!! A few miles inland is WELL worth it. We will definitely be back! I spied this house on a hike 13 years ago, saying to myself, "the people who live there are so luckyl" Little did I know, I'd see this house on VRBO all these years later, and we were able to share a little bit of paradise."
